I like menslib a lot of the time but yeah that thread was really off-putting. I didn't like how they completely ignored that people can and often are falsely accused without an official police report. If the accuser knows it's false, why would they go to the police? I also thought that person in the comments that said "99+% of rapes are unreported" was pretty wacky. That is a bold claim.

It contains very little in a dictionary definition sense, but with expressions such as "be a man" there are some heavy connotations with the label. I'm all for fighting those connotations, so maybe we agree that femboys (for the lack of a better term) could start calling themselves men to fight it.

At least to me, "man" has masculine has masculine connotations that "boy" does not, so I prefer the term boy, though I do understand the feeling of it being awkward calling myself a "boy" when I'm in my 20s (not that 20s is old or anything).

I've never heard people calling "femboy" a transphobic term. As for the thing about eggs, that does get fairly annoying, as I've experienced as a more feminine guy. But the thing about eggs is fairly unrelated to contention over the word "trap" imo. "Trap" is largely used as a transphobic term now, no matter the origin. I agree with you that that is sexist as well, plain misandry (also my part of my qualms with the term "toxic masculinity"), although I think there is a difference between women and people in general saying the misandrist phrases "men should wear dresses" (from women mainly) and "men shouldn't wear dresses (from men mainly), and the male-positive "men should be able to wear dresses", and in my experience menslib encourages the latter over the former. but I understand if you disagree

I'm not trying to gaslight you. I, as a cis man, genuinely feel that the women on that sub care about men's issues. Topics that arise frequently are circumcision, gender roles that harm men, and also threads that discuss how groups of men separated by race, class, sexuality, etc. experience these problems differently.
