I recently posted here a screenshot of an AskReddit thread which used the term "Small Dick Energy".

I can't say I didn't expect this, but the thread that resulted from it was a total shitshow. There were awful comments from both the people who disagreed with my message, and also the people supporting my message. It was all so bad I felt I needed to make another post addressing it all.

First off, to the people on the sub whose first reaction to my screenshot was responding either to my post, or literally posting on AskReddit any variation of "Small Tits Energy", "Loose Vagina Energy", "Roast Beef Pussy Energy", or "Fat Bitch Energy", you are acting no better than the people who use "Small Dick Energy". The answer to body shaming and sexism is not body shaming and sexism in return. Always strive to be better than your aggressors.

Before I get to addressing other types of comments, I need to make something crystal clear: Saying someone has "Small Dick Energy" is saying that having a small penis is something to feel legitimately bad about. The statements "He has Small Dick Energy" and "He must have a tiny penis" are functionally identical. They can, and are, used interchangeably, in the same context, to describe the same people.

But, for a moment, let's assume the people who say "it's about the energy, not the penis" are telling the truth. These people over and over and over say it's about making fun of men's insecurities. As if making fun of people's insecurities is something of valor! This does nothing but reinforce the belief that men with small penises should feel insecure. They should feel bad. It doesn't make a difference.

This bears striking resemblance to the issue of using "gay" as an insult. "It's not about actual gay people! Being gay is okay! Being gay is just seen as bad by society so we use it as an insult!" I am queer, myself. This line of thinking is nonsense when it comes to gay people, and it's nonsense when it comes to men with small penises.

So to the people who posted on my thread variations of "Ironically this post screams Small Dick Energy!" and "OP's penis must be tiny", you are part of the problem. You are part of the reason men with small penises are insecure. You are part of the reason having a small penis is seen in such a negative light. I know you're reading this, just as you saw my previous post. You need to be better.

Men who bring up this issue are almost universally the target of this very same issue as soon as they open their mouths. It has happened to me multiple times, and will no-doubt happen again with this post. But somebody needs to speak on this issue or we will never make any progress. I know my own endowment. I have nothing I need to prove to body shamers. It is none of your concern. Be better.
