100% agree, well said.

So true. “Not all men”, like “All lives matter”, is just another phrase aimed at silencing the dialogue on the oppression of the marginalized and maintaining the status quo.

The male “feminist” is the certified worst and no one can tell me otherwise.

Yep and these same people who defend it turn around and say they would never date or marry a sex worker...sooo do you really respect that profession? Explain that logic 🤔

Yup! Then it will be REALLY interesting to see who still “chooses” to do sex work.

Here’s a thought on how to make sex workers’ lives easier: help them get out of sex work. Simple as.

Yep. They definitely feel their fee fees, they just don’t know how to process them so they throw them all on us. Men: go to therapy.

My advice on this topic: set your standards, but do not ask people to meet them. By vetting, you will get an idea of whether they meet them or not. They either do or they don’t - don’t waste your energy trying to get a person to fit into your standards. Set boundaries, but do not keep reminding people that they’re there. A boundary is not meant to train another person how to treat you, it’s to protect yourself. Set a boundary once, and if it’s disregarded, remove that person from your life. 💖

Yep, highly-educated men are some of the worst mansplainers I've encountered.

Your comment reminded me of this failed artist/musician who I tried dating despite his unattractiveness (beer belly, receding hairline, etc.). When I met his friends, they were in awe that he was able to "get me", and he was legitimately offended. He honestly thought in his delusional little mind that he was either in my league or entitled to someone that's well out of his league. I don't know if that's an unsuccessful artist/musician thing or an ugly thing, but I'm definitely avoiding both now.

Great analogy - explains why I haven’t truly felt “seen” or understood in any relationship with a man. And what they “love” about us is usually what we do for them, to make them feel good. They don’t love or respect us as people.

If “age doesn’t matter” to these people, why are there so many videos highlighting these huge age gaps? Is it supposed to be a flex? Who’s actually jealous of this girl for nabbing a wrinkly ass scrote who looks like he’s fresh off of last season’s To Catch a Predator?!

Honestly not sure, but I personally feel safer being physically closer to my neighbors. Guess it depends on the location and all that too.

The best decision I made as a single woman was moving from a stand-alone house to a heavily secured condo (24/7 doorman, cameras everywhere, locks at all entrances, no callbox). I had so many scares in the house, including a strange man who tried to force himself in at night because he knew I was home. Cops never caught him. I feel much safer in my condo since I don’t have randos knocking on my door anymore, but as many have already noted, we need to stay vigilant nonetheless.

Exactly. We attract them all. It's just super unfortunate that LVM far outnumber HVM.

Hmm, how does someone taking care of a whole ass family have time for a “distraction”? Oh that’s right, because he’s not doing shit for them.

Yep, all too familiar. I dealt with one that, in addition to the above, unironically calls herself “spiritual AF” and told me that women attract the guys that they do because of their “vibration level”, and that if we’re attracting low quality men, it’s a sign that something is wrong with us. I usually don’t argue but I was so flabbergasted that I blurted out, “we’re attractive, we literally attract EVERYONE. It’s up to us to decide if they’re worth our time!!”. And she had the audacity to disag…

She’s not wrong and I love her energy. I only want to add that I think we should be careful about how much focus and blame we put on “weak” women in general. Women are raised in and encouraged by our patriarchal society to act weak and get picked. This is sadly the norm. We are gaslit and beaten down (literally) when we assert standards and boundaries for ourselves. It’s really easy to criticize these women, but I’d rather focus on how men have failed and created the whole pick-me issue.

It's really unfortunate that women are raised to endure relationships that aren't serving them at all. Shaming us for being "quitters", when we know damn well that when the tables are turned, men absolutely leave (or make us miserable enough that we end it first).

Thank you. You are not "insecure" for pointing out shitty behavior. I was gaslit into thinking I was a jealous person for years, including therapy to "fix" me, and who did that benefit?? Sure wasn't me.

These types of phrases ("sex work is work" and "don't kink shame") are parroted and used as trump cards to stop any type of critical thinking and keep women "in their place". Thus is the goal of liberal feminism, the greatest scam of our time.

That goes for most of the American men looking for foreign wives on 90DF. I love watching and pointing out all the red flags but holy hell is it sad for these women!

One risk with dating former addicts is that they tend to replace the drug addiction with an addiction to something else. I realized this when I briefly dated a former pill addict, and guess what he had replaced pills with? Porn! Absolute worst case of pornsick I've ever seen.

Love this comparison, and love being in a community that's ruthless with our standards and unrelenting with our boundaries.

"And of course the hope that the recipient might feel the same way". There it is, the admission that there's always an ulterior motive even with the most "innocent" of compliments from men.

These men absolutely CANNOT be helped. I was in a relationship with a depraved scumbag like this and when it did turn to straight up physical abuse (because it always does), he blatantly admitted that abusing me when we fought MADE HIM HARD. Therapy did nothing. He 100% would have killed me if I didn't get out.

Thank you for reminding me why I avoid OLD! I was expending way too much energy just to swipe through this kind of trash. Oh and every guy I met in person from OLD had the mindset of "no fancy romantic stuff", they just didn't put it in their profile.

I think about this often. Consent is talked about ad nauseam, but people don't take the conversation further to question whether an oppressed group (women) can actually consent when there are real societal consequences when we say "no'. I question the same with many other aspects of being a woman - how much of what we do as women (wear makeup and "sexy" clothing, have a sweet personality) is just because it's easier to fit in/be desirable vs. actually bringing us joy? It's a question I think eve…
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/11/20 05:10 PM

This is exactly right. LVM/NVM that are personally offended by your standards know that they don't meet them, so they will do anything to try to get you to lower them, and then think less of you if you do. Keep those standards firm!

So he values their commitment at the cost of a replacement SIM tray? Lmaooo sheer and utter clownery.

I always assume that these are the guys keeping you on the back burner while they look for their "dream girl". Good riddance.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/11/20 04:45 PM

They're also afraid that the vocalization of our standards will wake other women up and there will be none left for them to manipulate (wouldn't that be amazing? a girl can dream lol). They legit want to silence us because they know deep down that we're right.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/11/20 04:37 PM

Having been in both of these situations, I choose single and financially independent EVERY. DAMN. TIME. LVM hate the fact that they can't trick me into thinking I need them.

Exactly. "We're separated, I just haven't told my wife yet."

Not to mention the amount of time it takes to put on a full face vs. throwing on a shirt...the entitlement kills me!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/11/20 11:34 PM

Well said. I had a child with a LVM and the fact that I kept my career was the only reason I was able to leave, so I have no regrets about making sure I'm financially independent (even though society hates me for it).

Apparently. It was posted to IG and people (men and women) were commenting that it was crazy and probably taken from a 1950's dating guide. Eh, who needs standards?

Could not agree more. If you're fortunate enough to do so in this pandemic, it's the perfect time to work on self-growth and realign priorities.

"I'm glad I met you. I used to just date models but they were dumb or had no personality". Like insulting me wasn't enough, gotta bash other women too!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/11/20 02:28 PM
13

Absolutely. Rather than cut off friends and loved ones with pick-me tendencies, I offer advice (when asked) but I choose not to get upset or take it personally when they ultimately don't follow it. I wish I realized earlier in life that I'm much happier when I don't try to control other people's actions, and don't take other people's actions personally. Now I'm living just fine according to my own principles and don't feel the need to disturb my peace by worrying about other people's problems.

I personally would love to hang out in some scrote's crusty apartment half-naked, facing away from each other so probably not talking at all, eating some cheap-ass takeout, and watching TV on his mom's Netflix account until he kicks me out. I'm just cOoL and LoW mAiNtEnAnCe, ok!?
