PS isn’t California THE BEST?? Expensive and bad air, but the BEST consumer protections of any state in this country (Mass is a close 2nd), and it was sunny and 72 degrees almost every day.

You’re not kidding, I’m almost 50 and reading your post reminded me of when I relocated to Southern California, and I was doing great things building my career, and I was living with friends, and when I finally decided to get my own place in a better neighborhood everyone was mad about it. And let me add that by moving out they don’t have to pay more, so it wasn’t about that, it was about me improving myself when they were not, and they weren’t even trying it’s not like they were failing at some…

My NVX actually said the words “It seems like you love me more now that I got a job.” I almost spit my coffee out. Duh, I don’t feel attracted to stunted teenagers in grown bodies.

I like your strategy because in order to give into the manipulation you would have to admit that you staged this elaborate lie and that, if nothing else, would keep you from falling for the tears.

I had a lazy & abusive alcoholic, and he lived with me but I lived in my friend’s upstairs. She had a kid. When we broke up I couldn’t really get him out because he had nowhere to go. I had a couple jobs so I tried not to be home. But I told him he could not sleep in my room with me, which he got mad about because my friend had a kid so he couldn’t exactly lie around on the couch all morning. I stopped buying groceries and I just kept my food at the office and packed a “dinner” or ate out with o…

Wasn’t there an FDS episode awhile back that said men marry when they notice they’re going bald. Someone said “Go look at wedding photos and see how many full heads of hair you see.” QUEENS WERE RIGHT!!

I don’t think the dad bods are sexy at all. My childhood best friend and I had a conversation about dad bods decades ago before dad bods were cool, we both decided we did not like them because of childhood trauma. That shape of man just reminded us of our dads’ alcoholic friends, which is a total turn off.

I dated a guy in our 20s who was losing his hair, and it was pretty bad because it was the kind of loss that started in the front and just went across the top. So his forehead was just huge. Sometime in our 30s he went and had a hair transplant and it made such a difference. But then he thought he was too hot for a girlfriend, and now that he’s 50 he’s decided he wants me to be his girlfriend because he seen what’s out there. No thank you. In these 30 years I have also seeing what’s out there, a…

They look like shit and someone convinced them that they deserve someone to love them as they are. I mean, they do, but that person is their mom. They literally get mad you don’t want them when they’re gross, and if you somehow accept the gross, they judge you for being so pathetic that you’ll accept their grossness.

Ugh YES, my NVX tried to tell me I was “controlling” because I told him if he wanted to sell drugs he needed to fuck off because I will not associate with a drug dealer. I also told him if he was going to keep hanging out with one particular druggie, where he would spend his whole monthly income in one weekend, he had to move out. I was controlling because I didn’t want to have to pay for everything all month.

Wouldn’t it be that Charlotte is way out of his league since she was the one who married down? I always thought “out of her league” meant too good for her. Have I been saying it wrong my whole life? Ugh.

I was infrequently messaging some dude on social media a few states away because he was interesting at first but then it was all bird seed and love bombing bullshit which was so out of place, but anyway, I stopped replying because I have no answer for “hey” and that’s what he was sending, but he could probably tell I was on. Then I wasn’t on for a day or something because it’s social media not my job. Anyway, the next day I found the biggest drama message about how he would drive to my house to …

I recently realized I have a female acquaintance Who really enjoys the monologues. I used to think it only happened when she was drunk so I just would avoid her if she was drinking, but the past couple times I’ve seen her she just talks at me until I say I have to go. It’s so bizarre, and off-topic except that now I avoid her because of the monologues.

I don’t know if it’s true because I’ve never looked at that site, but I’ve heard that you can give referral codes to people and then you make a portion of what they make, which is MLM. 🤢

I used to think doing the 50-50 thing was a good idea until FDS, now I never will do that again. But I have CFS, so a real date takes a lot out of me, if I’m not sure I actually want to hang out with the guy more a coffee date isn’t a bad idea. That way I’m not crashing myself for the whole entire day after for someone that might not be worth it. But I am working with a chronic illness I would not advise this for anyone who has a regular amount of energy.

Up here in New England they like to live with/off the passive low self esteem mothers while they spend what little money they have on sex workers. So the #picked are cleaning and wiping kids butts while someone else spends his $ and sends him home broke and tired. It’s not winning sis.

I loved this episode so much. Y’all laughing so hard at the end telling stories had me in tears. And THANK YOU for what you said about making sure you have travel arrangements you control- years ago a pilot I dated years before wanted to fly me from my home in California to wherever the fuck he was stuck for a couple days. I dated a man who “retired” at 30 because he had a million dollars in the bank. He refused to spend it, which is how he ended up divorced before I met him. He wouldn’t let her buy a Christmas tree even though Christmas was her favorite time of year, so she got a job so she could buy her own damn tree, she met a man at work, and had a baby with him. Yeah I am really confused about why she couldn’t sleep in the BEDROOM while he stays up in the LIVING ROOM, like where people do stuff when they’re awake. I had a NVM who would sleep in my room until 3 pm every day and it was problematic when I wanted to clean or do anything in there, but mostly I could work around it. When I found out and I was packing to move I was bitching and I said something like I can’t believe this is happening again. And by “again” I meant I moved in with some dumb ass and then pretty instantly saw my mistake and moved out, not that I had been cheated on again, but he JUMPED on it. “What do you mean again? OLD profiles that mention drama get the X instantly. I assume they either gaslight women and make them crazy, then call it drama. Or they consider any show of emotion drama. I growled at my phone one day before getting up to get an envelope to mail whatever I wanted to submit on line that wasn’t working. I got a whole mansplaining lecture about how if it doesn’t work I can just mail it, no need to growl. AS I WAS ADDRESSING THE ENVELOPE. So duh, that’s what I am doing, but I can be annoyed about…

I AM SO HAPPY SOMEONE HERE WATCHES 90 DAY PARADE OF LVM!! I don’t believe the x sent the photos to Jasmine’s boss. She says she didn’t, why would she? She wasn’t “out to get” Jasmine, she seemed to be sincerely trying to tell her that man is a scum bag. I assumed he was playing games gaslighting when she was flipping out about wall colors and she said “You always make me look crazy.” And she KNEW, like women just know, that he was being sketchy.

OMG I didn’t even think about 5’9” 119 lb stick figure. It also took me way too long to understand the poosy flap thing. Poor little boy doesn’t know some men really enjoy seeing “camel toe” (I don’t get it-I have thrown away a couple pairs of leggings because the gusset looks like lips after a few washings.) One of my older friends had 6 kids and her last one is 40 she will be taking care of him until she dies because he has serious mental illness. She can’t enjoy her retirement because he’s like a grown toddler and her biggest worry in the world is what will happen to him when she dies. That in the sunk cost fallacy. My best friend was in a terribly terribly abusive relationship with a man she had two kids with, and she went into the relationship with one. She wanted to leave him, but she had already devoted years of her life to the relationship and didn’t want to start over. She finally did and she’s never been happier

My ex talked for years about how he was going to get his life together, but he was obviously LV in all aspects, I fell for it because he had his life together at one point & it fell apart, so it made sense to me that he would get his life together again. He didn’t. In the past year two of my friends have gone to have their rings appraised, because they still have them even though they didn’t marry the scrotes, and both situations the rings are worth so much less than the men claimed. And these guys didn’t get ripped off by the ring dealer, they knew what they were buying. A ring doesn’t mean much. Sometimes they use it to accomplish a goal.

I think this is why my dad used to get SO MAD when my mom would just “drive around wasting gas”. Lol, it was the 70s and she would make him step up by leaving the house. It worked while they were together. He had to change the diaper if she was gone and he didn’t know when she would be back.

They don’t know it though they’re super delusional. All the fuck bois from my 20s are still living in the same zip code we went to school in, they all look like they’re in their 3rd trimester, and they still think they’re the hot motorcycle boys they were when we were 20. It’s funny, I am child free, my best friend is not. When I finally kicked my last boyfriend out, he told me I had big teeth and I was abusive because I shut the coffee pot off before he was done drinking it. Idk I would suspect there’s less chance she’ll stray she’s seen what’s out there and she won’t wonder if she’s missing something. If you get with a woman who has only been with one other person in her life, she may want to explore her sexuality. But she’s open and honest and those are GOOD qualities.
