Eh, we don't know his situation. Maybe he drives 100+ miles a day for work and doesn't want to put that on his truck that actually holds its value pretty well. If that's a V8 raptor he has a good chance of making some money on it in a few years if he keeps it nice and doesn't balloon the miles. Maybe he's into offroading as a hobby Etc

In fairness black kinda makes the truck look less wide, especially in pictures from the side like this. Half of the visual "uplift" over an f150 are those huge fender flares.

That's crazy, I had no idea. I'd guess any more then 300hp and you'd be clawing for any traction you can get. That's really cool. I wish we got all of the cool stuff in the states :(

Not hating, it's a cool car. But isn't it only like low/mid 200's horsepower with a 6+ second 0-60? I feel like an STI or evo, stock or stage 1, would keep up with or beat it. Never been in this gen type-r, but my buddy has a bug eye STI stage 1 and that thing rips. Easily 300 to the wheels

Back when Lancia was king... It was before my time, but I remember hearing Quattro got banned for a few years because Audi was too dominant on the WRC podiums.

point of clarification - an open diff sends power to the wheel on the axel that has the least amount of resistance. If you tried to do a burnout on a car with an open differential only one wheel would be smoking. A "closed" (or "welded") differential sends equal power to both wheels at all times. These are used on cheap, poorly built drift cars. The wheels turn at the same speed all the time, which is not good for regular driving. When you turn the car your inside wheel is spinning slower then t…

Drift and rally are two totally different animals. I was a huge WRC fan growing up, but those guys are on another level with the skills/reflexes they have. The point of Rally is to go faster then everyone else on a variety of terrain (dirt, gravel, pavement, etc), the point of Drifting is to make your "run" with the most style (no points for finishing in "1st place"). It's like a figure skating vs speed skating in the olympics. One is judged on a scale of 1-10, the other by a timeslip. That said…

They can, but usually the rear differential is open on an AWD cars. You want a limited slip differential for better predictibility, and usually the center differential is tweaked to provide more power to the rear end. AWD supercars are typically set up this way (1:5 center, LSD in rear) for better handling and performance, and maximizing traction for their powerful engines. Additionally, since the front axel is mated to the transmission in AWD cars it pushes the engine further out towards the no…

Not OP, but you can't drift FWD cars. The "drifting" comes from breaking traction in the rear wheels, which requires power delivery (from a powerful engine) to the rear wheels. It's not possible in a Honda. You can pull the handbrake and slide it, but that's about it. Drifting is a lot bigger then FnF Tokyo Drift by the way - one of the fastest growing car competitions in the world.

Shit, I don't think I'd do it in Miami, Orlando, or Atlanta but any smaller city/town in the South is a great place to be a cop. Red states love their boys in blue.

A7's are cool and all, but for that money I'd definitely go the S5 route. Cool cars nonetheless

MK2 Jetta ('91) with a 1.6D engine and a 5MT - Low&Slow but an awesome daily beater. She's duct-taped together but just won't quit. Bout to hit 200k miles Audi B5 S4 ('01.5) 6MT stage 2 with just about everything but the turbo's, brakes, and fueling touched on the car. Really fun ride but I'm thinking of getting rid of her since I can't really wrench on it myself. 101k miles and pristine interior, but these cars can be serious money pits. And my workhorse '03 Expedition is in the back, 5.4 trito…

Huh, I've seen this reposted on different sites a few times now and never once did it occur to me that it could have been written by a woman. "Grill for a few hours, then sit back and crack open a few cold ones with the boys." - the whole ad reads like it was written by some frat guys.

difference is I don't pay for it. Sure you do, just not as directly as us petrol users who break out the wallet every time we fill up. We are swapping dollars for convenience and time. You are paying with time - time that could be spent going 80mph on the freeway.

TRP (pick up artist community for those unfamiliar) is not the only community to use the term "red pill". Hell, the term came from the Matrix which has to be 20 years old by now. "taking a red pill" basically means "accepting a hard truth".

Yeah, and to be fair she wasn't in a very tactical spot to do something about the shooter anyways. She had 0 cover with an armed guy walking straight at her down a hallway. No way she could have closed that gap before being shot dead. I agree with OP - females shouldn't work in professions like this, but I think she made the correct move fleeing in this situation. Everyone in that bar should count their blessings that the man was sitting on the stool and was able to run interference on the shoot…

All they would have to do to prove that is show the statistics of how many graduates landed jobs in their field. That degree doesn't sound bad, I have no idea about the school. Higher education is a big money business that can exploit the most financially illiterate members of society (kids). I'm all for shady practices being exposed. However, is that what's going on here or is this bitch just looking for a handout? It's possible she partied away 4 years only to "find herself" 100k in debt with …

Dude I'm just pointing out social norms, not saying I agree with them. If he had hit her he WOULD lose all of his friends and have a pretty bad reputation. Not that it's right, but that's the way this world works. Sometimes it isn't worth the social suicide to "stand up for what's right". You know he would have been outcasted by his friends had he beat her down like he rightfully could have.

I don't know what else I have to say to convince you that I am aware of and do not like the social acceptance of how it's okay for women to assault men. What was your SAT reading comprehension score? I hope you did well in math, otherwise you're fucked...

Just because you can doesn't mean you should, and hell some people just aren't fighters. I'm not making excuses for her, I said the guy would be totally justified (had he decided to whoop her ass). I was simply commending the restraint he showed by not going full on Jerry Springer in the apartment hallway. Maybe he's not a fighter, maybe he noticed the camera, maybe he knew she was just being a drunk piece of shit, OR maybe he cheated on her or something that we don't know about. Either way, yes…

Equal rights come with equal lefts, he would have been totally justified. Good on him, she's probably drunk and emotional, but one day she's going to punch the wrong guy in the face like that...
