This is exactly how I stumbled upon TRP. Someone talking smack in a thread. Naturally, I had to check it out. Glad I did.

Just got done reading "Models" but here's what I took from it. The whole reason you approach and talk to a woman you want to get with, is to see if she's interested. If she likes you, then great! If she's giving you a vibe that she's not interested, then don't worry about it, because your sole purpose was to determine her interest in you. Your job was done either way. Just don't shut down if she is giving indications of liking you. It's like saying "Man, I really want some cake". And then you ge…

Just curious as to where you got that from...is it something you came up with on your own? It's pretty good haha.

I have some written down into my weight lifting log. Just going to be more meticulous about using it. I just wanted the gist of it on here. Who knows, someone might look at this, and get something worthwhile out of it. You know?

Still an old friend none the less. Regardless of if there's any romantic intention. Intentionally choosing to not pursue it, and invest any effort to it is what's important I think.

I've not no intention of going back. I've made up my mind and I'm certain it's the right decision. Plenty of other fish in the sea.

I don't really think that "never talking to her again" is exactly right. I've made the decision to not pursue anything with her. Why burn a bridge that's of no hindrance to you?

This sub is so receptive to helping each other out. It really is a nice community on here.

Because I'd get roped in and have to invest way too much effort. Someone you used to bend over backwards for, will probably not be very receptive to being put on the backburner or alternate list.

In my mind why it didn't work out, is because I enlisted and got the hell out of town. We don't do well with long distance relationships. Now that she's literally in the same state, it seemed logical to see where things led.... Nowhere ha.

As a sailor in the U.S. Navy. This is unfathomably true. The Navy used to be bad fucking ass. Stories about old crusty sailors drinking, smoking, fighting, and fucking are simply that nowadays. Stories from Chief Petty Officers who have been around long enough, and done enough fucked up shit that you have to believe them. But its all those men who are getting out because of where the Navy is headed. Its all too political. All too based on everyone's feelings. My Senior Chief says the day they le…

Its good so far, man. It's about a dude, his son, a motorcycle trip to the grand canyon, and the shit he just observes along the way.

I'm reading Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. Great read so far. Long time beta. Wasn't really happy with my life as a hole. Wanted some shit to read to help change my philosophy on life. Buddhism seemed to be something that really struck through to me. Not to turn this into a religious rant or anything. But to me it's about constantly bettering yourself, and to find your place in life.

As a beta in transition I can tell you exactly what I used to do. If I was at a bar or party and a woman gave me any clues whatsoever, it was like they were noted by me, and then ignored by being unable to act on them. I'd make casual conversation and talk to her like I would anyone else. At the end of the night, I would be absolutely horrified to ask for her number, even though it was a sure thing for an outside observer. Most generally I wouldn't ask. And we'd go our separate ways. If I did, I…

Part of the reason why I was such a long time lurker with no account, was that I hadn't figured out the right username. Watched it one day and it just came to me. :P

Huh? No trolling meant by the post so I'm a little confused.

Thanks for the heads up man. I'm not worried about it all too much though. If people base their arguements and counterpoints on something other than the subject at hand, then they're being illogical and childish. I don't give two shits what they have to say at that point.

It's not that I consider myself a loser by anymeans. I actually feel like I have a lot to bring to the table. In the military, good pay, fit and in shape. Not ugly by any means, and can actually hold a conversation. Just by reading I noticed that I am a total pushover when it comes to women, and quite frankly it just gets old after a while. Excited for the superpowers though.

It's okay man, I am far from a Karma whore. I'll make sure to check out the sidebar though.
