Yes. However, there is a difference between charged and convicted. When you get into trouble with the police they have to list all of the crimes you engraved in, however, some of these get later dropped. If you walked past a police officer and said “fuck” they won’t arrest you. There has to be context to it and a reasonable person would need to find it offensive. In my line of work I get to work with kids and adolescents on the spectrum and they are some of my favourite people. I really understand their sense of humour. I understand your concerns but on average it rarely escalates to the point you see in the video in my experience. The best thing you can do in my anonymous opinion is just always be there to debrief his social interactions. It’s NOT about telling him he was wrong it’s just about listening in those moments when he’s worked up.

It comes under the summary offences act. When you’re arrested they charge you with everything that happened during the incident. You’ll find the offensive language component will be dropped. It’s not aimed at stifling free speech, it’s more there to prevent people drawing dicks on church walls for example. Charged and convicted are two different things.

No. She was asked to remove the charger (it was actually a cradle) from the windshield as it was obstructing her driving view. She refused. She was then repeatedly asked to produce identification (which you legally must do at a traffic stop in Australia). It was at this point she was arrested because “she wanted to show her ID to another officer”. This whole incident could have been avoided if she moved the cradle under the rear view mirror. There is big difference between domestic violence, and people who think they are above the law. This lady was interfering with a police situation and was wanted twice to stand back. The officer didn’t know if she was armed; the officer didn’t know what her intentions were. This was not excessive force.

I do agree somewhat; however, this wasn’t a single fine. It was multiple fines. So she victimised herself by continuing with illegal behaviour. Also, she was in prison for 14 days in lieu of paying fines. I could understand is she was imprisoned for 6 months and still had to pay the fine. However, it’s 14 days and it wipes the debt.

In Australia, child support is based on income. So if you changed to a lower paying job then your child support is scaled down. I don’t understand the [presumably] American system where individuals are indebted at the time of time divorce. What happens if you get a better paying job, does the support increase?

I think there is a slow shift, however, this statement still gave me cause for concern: “Judge Chapman said she understood "jail would be difficult and crushing" and imposed a non-parole period of two years and one month”. I still don’t understand why prison is seen as being worse for women and why that is a factor in sentencing. She groomed and had sex with a teenager. This is wrong. Period. Equal crime, equal time.

I recently saw that Facebook will start banning far right commentary, then last week Craig Emerson resigned from Sky News for giving a premise to a far right extremist. What concerns me is that there is seemingly no regulation / censorship of the far left. Articles like this are written and published without regulation, and in my opinion are just as bad as their far right counterpart. I consider myself to be slightly left of center, but this article is pure hate speech.

To be fair, it wasn’t the ABC that said that it was a quote from divorce lawyers representing women. However, the whole article is clearing vag-tastically centred. I'm not too sure that women will ever out earn men. Although the 20 - 30 year old girls are being employed in droves; I think this will create a real productivity gap in a decades time. The fact is women don't want to work from 18 - 65; everyday; to support a family is one factor. Then there are the cases of single women over 35 who have some real depression issues (which need to be addressed as a societal while) but that's not good for productivity either.
