And so close to "caregiver" day...

I've always wondered about this one. It seems to me, in the jobs I've had, that women had just as much opportunities, and as well in the community that I have been a part of. I've never seen a woman make less for doing the same job. Add to that, the pregnancies and maternity leaves, and I figure that a lot of the men at the very top (making lots of money, and bending the figures) probably never took a day off in their lives. Of course they're gonna get further ahead than a woman who's taken a fu…

Rape is not a trivial thing. It's a terrible thing.

Well, he didn't injure her to any severe degree, but he did take a good swing I guess. At first, people were kind of shunning him, but the final consensus seemed to be that she was asking for it. It was kind of cool that things were just sort of thing. That was in the 90's, and it went quite against conventions to take 'his' side. I think that people saw it as an "equal rights" thing. I thought it was kind of funny at the time, but was also quite impressed at the egalitarian approach.

I remember this guy in high school, a girl hit him on the bus, and knocked her the fuck out, lol People were shocked, and shit, but our principal (a woman) investigated, and when she found out that the girl had hit him first, she claimed him in his rights to fight back in self-defense. I thought it was pretty cool. I do agree that it's much safer to walk away though, but women should definitely not be allowed to hit men with no repercussions.

Well, I'm in a small province in Canada. Being polite in public is kind of a thing round here. Most women will hold that door for anybody if they're coming right behind them, and the one who just lets the door slam in your face is considered quite rude. And most women I've known a little don't expect men to take care of them all and all at all. Heck, a few and many of them are actually taking care of their men more than the other way around. Women are considered a caregiver in many situations, a…

I've come across women acting in such ways quite a few times in my day, and I think that it does have to do with them feeling like they have the right of way or something. It's like, a lot of guys will let that shit pass, because they're women. Men are supposed to be chivalrous still, even though we are no longer superior. I would say it isn't necessarily the average woman acting that way though. Just bitches being bitches. What infuriated me about some of these instances, is how powerless I was…

But I think people should have the right to start whatever company they want, just as long as it doesn't infringe on any laws. And just because it might create an uproar if men started a similar company doesn't necessarily mean that two wrongs make a right. I mean, if you have 2 kids, and you give a candy to one (whilst maybe the other one is in the bathroom, or something), and the second kids freaks out when he sees his sister has a candy... Would you take the candy away from the girl, or would…

I don't see a problem with that really. It's just a business that tries to tend to a certain need/desire. Why would this offend me?

A guy who's curious, but doesn't give a flying fuck to "get in line" with any of this bullshit. You got people fighting for both sides, and both sides go way too far, and end up not making a lick of sense. I'll read shit if it seems interesting though, but don't expect me to be militant over any of this "poor us" crap.

It's just a subject I care very little about to be honest. It's easy enough to not argue, and I usually see the ardent ones coming a mile away. I then put my hat of, "whatever you say, dear." And run my fat ass out the way, lol To me, it's already a hell of a lot better than it once was. I do hope for equal rights for everybody (unless it infringes on other's rights). I just have seen a world where women are treated fairly, and have some advantage, just as disadvantages; but nobody can have it a…

I really wouldn't mind learning more about this, and am really lazy, so if you want to go on, I'll read it (as I doubt I'll do my own research on the subject). You can post it here, or send it to my inbox if you will I've just recently read a few feminist articles that had me shaking my head for a while, but by the end I felt like I had learned something, and that there is still a ways to go towards making things equal. I'm no feminist by any means, and am more than opened to any learnings on th…

How are men "held back" by feminism?

lol, shit like that is what makes people hate feminism for sure. I mean, we still got a ways to go to make things equal, and it's kind of sad that dumb shit like this is flying around.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
