I think it's hard to find the conditions necessary to create strong friendships in such a lax and decadent culture. Sure I had all my best friends growing up and into my 20s, but the only thing we ever did together was play video games, chase girls, and get drunk. There were no trials, no real challenges or threats to overcome, no rites of passage. So naturally we fell into pettiness and eventually drifted apart. What's there to hold us together? Memories of golden eye marathons? It's true the m…

I'd take the jail too, but that's cause I have the luxury to do so. Guys too invested in the system in the form of careers/businesses/mortgages/families etc basically have a sword of damocles hanging over their heads.

I've probably made 60-100 total posts on reddit, and maybe 20 comments in other places (youtube/blogs) since I started browsing the net regularly in 2014. Truth is I don't have too many original thoughts or breadth of life experience and there's usually someone else that says what I was gonna say anyway. I also find that impulse to make myself known or heard something that should be tempered, lest I get caught in the social media hall of mirrors dopamine trap. I surf too much already. It's too e…

Well said. I like how you put it about hitting the wall together. Mutual journey vs shifting power dynamics.. very succinct. And those eastern european women are pretty sneaky.. far more socially attuned then westerners.

Oh I remember that Saudi bit and I laughed cause it was such a red herring. Ya, it's the Saudis who are covertly taking over the U.S.. sssure there. That was probably just predictive programming for the the gulf wars and all the other mideast debacles. Maybe Beale in his media/political expose' should have touched on what group actually predominantly owns all the networks, staffs executive positions, and has an iron grip on u.s. politics. Actually it says more that he didn't.

Ya exactly.. with the age/status gap it is not necessary to nag and test. It's prescreening, not to mention in a healthier society the man would have been thoroughly vetted by the womans family too, so there is even more respect and authority imbued onto him. Also, since the woman would be much younger, she will almost always look better in comparison to the man so she can keep feeling pretty and not get jealous. Ya it's seems generally the most stable relationships are ones where the mans smv i…

Ya it's a really overlooked issue that ends up causing a lot of problems. We are really hammered with this idea we should shack up with people close to our age but it's bullshit and has rarely been the case in history. I think like 8-15 years younger is most ideal for the reasons you mention. But instead you have idiots marrying women their own age and often even older.. it's a horrible sight. On top of that, the women get very insecure when they look like hell and their men are still rockin tha…

I'm just speculating, and that paragraph was just some extra thoughts that came up spontaneously, but the 60's couldn't possibly live up to it's idealism and I think that was the idea. You break a people by encouraging their base desires.. and hedonism always leads to the abyss. The 60s caused the hangover and the 70s just amplified it and kicked everyone while they were down. I think that's how it works, like leading an animal out a prescribed escape route.. right into your trap. Look today for…

Potential friends or "allies" must be taken on a case by case basis, but generally, I wouldn't trust a gay guy trying to become buddy buddy with me because he prob just wants my ass. It's a similar principle with having female friends. Odds are one of the two parties wants some, and if the other party is a guy, it sure as hell isn't me. It's just common sense. Lot of gay guys I've met have been very crass and aggressive, if not overtly, then passively. Time and time again they cross personal bou…

I don't think there's anything wrong with that, except for that in the western world we pathologize guys who are virgins and this can cause a guy immense emotion problems. If you can see that shit for the lies and projection that it is, then all the power to you and keep on truckin. I wanted to save it till I found a good girl, but when hitting uni the social pressure was too much and I began to feel like a loser. So I threw my code aside and wasted years pursuing casual sex and getting hooked o…
