I haven't been able to deal with it. I'm in a very similar situation. Only difference is I became an alcoholic to deal with the loveless, sexless marriage.

Yup, wife started seeing a therapist and every conversation there after was about "how she feels". My ex-wife is in a science and math field. In our more than 20 years of marriage she had never used the words "how I feel". Six months after she started seeing a therapist she filed for divorce.

A lot of us feel this way. I can't tell you what you need to do but I'm doing the following, Only looking forward Gym Disc golf, Volleyball, Soccer every week Quit drinking completely My kids see the difference. The people in my life see the difference. Sure I have bad days but they are fewer and further between each month. Only you can make the difference in your life.

It would cost me more than it's worth and in reality she's spending the money she has on both our kids.

TN 2 kids but only 1 minor Me: $80k Her: $120k 50/50 custody (but I let him stay with her and visit me, his choice) I pay her $700 per month Edit: Without going into details I realize that this wasn't equitable. She got 58% of our net worth I got 42%. That said I've personally talked with men that got worse. TN is not a good state for men in divorce.

Going through those weeks like that was really hard for me. Trust me when I say, once you're on the other side, the whole world seems to have possibilities.

I think this is the answer most men with children would give. This is how I feel as well.

It's been almost 13 months for me. That's what I miss the most. Romance had long since died but we always had good conversation about our days. I don't have that connection with anyone anymore.

It's way past that. Your concern of being unreasonable won't happen. DO NOT LET HER IN.

Hey OP, really glad to hear others out there getting out and enjoying life. I picked up disc golf and play 3-4 times a week. It's been a God send. Being outdoors and getting exercise has made me stronger mentally and physically. Thanks for sharing.

I would pay a 10% penalty on that.

I did do a QRDO. She's under 50yrs old. She will be responsible for the tax penalty if she choses to pay that way, but that's not my problem. Edit: She was advised to get a HELC loan since the home is paid for. She just doesn't want to pay me.

Mediation went poorly. I was awarded 40% of the home value (475k). Her 401K (550k) was about 150k less than mine. She was able to keep the 55k she took from checking and savings. I was able to keep 15k from checking. She makes 30k per year more than I do. I owe her $700 month childcare. (1 child) Edit: a word

The past is the past. Don't look back, never look back. Only look forward. Focus on yourself. You are still SO young. You've got a lifetime in front of you.

House was paid off. She got the house appraised for 360K (don't even known how) I got the home appraised for for $440. She claimed it needed repairs. She had to pay me 185k.

Sucks man, I'm sorry for you. It was the same with me. My wife makes 32k per year more than I do. She cleaned out our checking and savings (55k), was allowed to keep all the money and now I pay her $679 a month in child support for 1 child. Oh yeah, she got the house and over 200k of my 401k too....

This is very true. It was a blood bath in mediation my lawyer just kept telling me how "lucky" I was. F that.

Journaling was brought up and highly encouraged. The videos were worthless.

Preface: (These meetings are run in/by a local church) The meetings start with everyone watching a video for 45 minuets! Afterwards the couple running the meetings talk about the video, then ask for input. 2-3 women out of 30 people spend the last 20-30 minutes talking. The 2nd meeting I attended was identical to the first with the same 2-3 women monopolizing the last 20-30 minuets again.

Hey man, start planning ahead. Find out where you are going and take some time to visit stuff you want to see in the area. Set your own schedule as much as you can.

but is there any chance I’m entitled to half of her fully vested pension when she finally retires? And if so, how do I secure it? Yes, you are entitled to half of it. Not sure how you secure it.

It's not just Reddit. I used to listen to NPR news every day but I started noticing a trend of LGBTQ stories EVERY... DAY.... After a straight two weeks of it I was done with the program.
