See, us guys call that glow that this post has obviously stemmed from 'post nut clarity'. That state of mind where everything is crystal clear and laser sharp, you can smell the individual molecules exchanging electrons in your nasal cavity, special relativity makes perfect intuitive sense and you're, for a moment, tacitly aware of being bore on the almighty cross gazing unblinking at the maddening void unfurling infinitely in all directions forever, where all of your memories and choices are we…

"I don't take in the anti women rhetoric" proceeds to spout textbook anti women rhetoric. Observe him, not what he tells you he's like.

You're strong enough to find your justice in this! You've got the voices of countless women behind you that have had to deal with exactly the same horrific shit. Tell your truth to them, they will have your back on this. Sadly this isn't a new thing, but understand that you've got a lot of empathy and understanding of precisely what you've been through. Your work right now is finding that community and sharing your story. Once that's happened you can together build your case against that utter p…

Definitely follow up on it. Laws exist and he crossed them. The apropriate agencies take this stuff very seriously. See if you can find contact details for any women's rights associations in your locality or domestic violence advocate associations in your locality. They will help you build a case before you take it to the law enforcement level. Hey lady, you've suffered abuse and he deserves everything that's coming to him. Please put some work in to getting him punished. He needs to be on a lis…

Call the cops, show them everything (including this reddit post), give them details of where he was staying at the hotel. Give them all the chat logs. This is classic grooming and sexual assaul. You were victim to sexual crimes. He deserves to be prosecuted, what he has done is illegal. You have the right to get him back for his horrible and illegal behaviour. I hope it works out for you, good luck!

Talking about feminism making women whores. No. It's saying that even with a more egalitarian self determination, some women chose to sell sex.. It's a sex positive argument criticising the argument that sex work is a sexist manifestation of the patriarchy. It's like, not quite. There seems to be a lot of women chose to get in to sex work from purely self determined reasons and it's very little to do with a "lack of freedom".

It's almost as if some women see sexuality as transactional and enjoy selling their assets.

Nothing screams "I don't understand healthy boundaries" like someone who says "No" and then expects you to actively ignore it.

Stay true my friend. As long as we're providing the environment where we and our SO can flourish and receiving the same in return, the functions of the world outside are mere detail.

Yeah that's what I was getting at. The sexism label is stupid. I'm sure your lady has opinions about that label, as mine certainly does! ( by that I mean doesn't agree with them) Like I said, most of us are happy and doing the life thing. Screw the haters yo. They've just not figured it out, or found the right person yet. And fools on them, because this is actually super pure living. And that's the point

I know why you called it sexist, but it isn't actually sexist. When both people are happy, it works. Really well. You'll always find some people hating on something. But dont let that detract from your and your SOs goodness. It's always been a winning formula, and for good reason, as I'm sure you know :)

I am a believer in working to keep a "honeymoon period" flourishing throughout the relationship no matter the age of it. I feel this is where your frustrations stem from. It would be good to ask yourself why you feel wanting when your SO doesn't express thoughtfulness in the manner and ways you want (within the context of deeper needs being met). Given what you have explained, and please don't take this the wrong way, it seems that there is a level of insecurity (abandonment?) that you're projec…

Maybe that's a cultural thing? I'm from the UK, we're way more secular/agnostic here (I assume you're American?). "Chastity" has honestly never been a topic of conversation in my experience. Nor particularly has the amount of men she's slept with previously. The general consensus is we're all adults and have pasts. It's more about the demeanor than the tally. Youth is always a bonus, because instinct and Genes, but again that isnt to say that a woman being older or younger necessarily puts her i…

Men don't like to admit this to women. Because a lot of us are aware that it's quite offensive to openly share such objectifying opinions about women to women. I can attest to this, as a man, that men very much have a dual dating strategy and it's something that comes up in conversation in Male spaces quite often. The mutual understanding (between the vast majority of men) that there are women you want to screw and women you want to marry. Women that are attractive, look easy and dress to arouse…

People forget or just don't want to believe that boys and men have body image issues too and self esteem problems. Instead they call it "toxic masculinity" and the fault of "the patriarchy". But that's what toxic masculinity is. The implicit peer pressure surrounding having to conform to a restrictive and often unrealistic definition of masculinity. "Be a man" "suck it up", and the big list of other things I'm sure you'll have no trouble identifying that society, generally, at large, enforces …

I highly recommend reading Come as You Are, by Emily Nagoski. It's a book that lays out how the body and mind works when it comes female sexuality and sexual happiness and how unique everyone's normal is. The big point here is, if you really work on coming to terms with who you are sexually and being able to sit comfortably with that and accept your normal, bodily and mentally; you'll relax a hell of a lot and connect with that part of yourself that will allow you to release in to it in the mome…

Yes that can be a form of it. It's when a person re-invents someone's truth, or an objective truth into a twisted version that suits their motive or justifies their actions. It's when someone deliberately makes someone else see a thing differently to what's true to them, in order to suit the gass lighter. When the victims has internalised this "new version" or perspective, and in so doing lost their original authentic stance on it. They've been gass lighted.

From what I remember this was bought up a few times in the documentary. I seem to it being down to a complex arrangement of gass lighting, abusive power dynamics and the boiling the frog effect. (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boiling_frog) Over the months the girlfriend had woven a value system and mode of being around them that had normalised and justified the behavior to the two in that world. He was victim to that and had to a large degree become brainwashed into being blind to the seriousn…

This is quite a bit different from that. Have you seen the documentary or are you projecting presumptions? This guy was subjected to extreme psychological and physical abuse, starvation and grevious bodily harm to the point he was hospitalised multiple times and was only a few days from death when the police moved in on it. This is rare criminal psychopathy, this is not the same thing as misandrists circle jerking on reddit. Again, this type of thing has nothing to do with what sex you are. It i…

Celebrating this kind of thing has nothing to do with what sex you are. The only metric here is whether or not you're a complete psychopath. Brandishing the term "woman" on to this type of claim is absolutely the worst kind of inflammatory straw man.

This isn't celebrated amongst women at all. That's a pretty terrible claim to make there.

I do understand where you're coming from (because it's not the first time I've seen this argument) and I do think you believe you're justified in that opinion. But you're right that I don't agree with it because I see it as a misguided view, which I'll try to explain so hopefully you'll be able to see why I think that. Centrally, you're defending a kind of reactionary toxicity that's aimed at women when toxic behavior isn't something inherent within women in general terms. Toxic behavior is indi…

"closest to", on the scale of personalities and temperaments. Its also an imo, as in, "of all the subs I'm subbed to. Which is a subjective value judgement on my part. There's definitely a vocal element in this sub that's got a set of bitter complexes towards women. There's substance behind why this sub is growing a label of misogyny to the point the mods are discussing cleaning it up. It's far more likely that the toxic dudes will kick a little fit and deny how toxic they're being than admit th…
