Next time you're in that situation just put your arm around her, it will be pretty clear what her comfort level is based on whether she accepts the cuddle, how she positions her body (facing you, nestling in to your neck/chest). She might put her hand on your or her arm around you, then you can tickle or stroke her arm. Look for signs of her tensing up or pulling away then escalate/de-escalate accordingly. You're (presumably) both adults, if she is clearly not comfortable it's perfectly acceptab…
