Obviously your best bet is in person. Period. But if you absolutely cannot do that, Facebook is better than not asking her out at all. I've gotten plenty numbers of friends that I was interested in from Facebook

It was a good step to approach her. More than most guys would do. But when you're actually doing things, be a man. You need to display that you know exactly what you want and how to get it. For example, hinting at watching a movie was pretty lame. Never beat around the bush. Say "We're watching a movie" or "Let's come back here next weekend and I'll take you to a french movie here". All in all, good job though. You made it farther than most.

Time out. I'm currently talking with a girl from my university. She says she's really busy and I believe it. So am I. However, we get together say once a month or so and go on a date, mess around, etc. That's the only time we see each other but were definitely super attracted to each other. Saying they're too busy is NOT a 100% indicator that they aren't interested.

No. You do not have to drink. Relying on a handicap such as drinking is a rediculous way to go out and meet women even if they're drunk. If anything not drinking is good. Just don't go looking for girls that are blackout drunk and take advantage of them. Think of it this way. If you, a sober gentleman doesn't take her back, a drunken idiot that'll treat her poorly will.

Computer Engineer at one of the top Engineering schools in the nation, top runner on the XC and Track team. I do nothing but homework, running, and working out on the weekdays but have plenty of time for women on the weekends. They would be missing out on so much if I didn't go out. :)
