Step father to the 9 year old. And yes through my periods of recover I would lift. Always have and been clear for 3 years. And yes she makes more. And I did get a promotion. She makes crazy money just working 2 days

I don’t lie the thought of nuking my whole family is a tough one for me. I’m not saying it’s not an option but it’s a tough one . Can you give me some examples of how to hold her accountable without losing frame and totally fucking it up. Because there’s a good chance I will at first

I’m on trt and used to juice but I don’t anymore. So I have some good size to me. Right now my bench is 295. Squats 380. Deadlift 405 Why would you say it’s attraction. We have sex all the time. A lot of the time she initiates but a lot of the other times it’s what I describe above. It wouldn’t say it’s attraction more than dumbass weak captain behaviors at times which maybe that’s what you mean

3 years from heroin. 1 from alcohol. I never considered alcohol as a problem. But I cut that shit out after my son was born.

Bingo! I feel that disconnect in myself. The more I read the more I realize exactly what that post talks about. Idk who the fuck I am. I been aimlessly walking through this life doing what I was told I should be doing. Defining my worth by the validation of women. And living out all my shitty nice guy behaviors instill in me through my childhood. I mean even in reading NMMNG. I almost thought I didn’t need to read it. “I have all these problems but being a nice guy isn’t one of them” then I STFU…

Yes having it. It’s always been a weak point of mind to internalize it and live. I understand it as a concept but to live it. I struggle especially like you said when it comes to my wife. I have a lot of unlearning and bad programming to undo. Even when I’m making progress I will post here and comments such as yours make me realize little things I’m doing without even being aware of it. Can you elaborate more on what you mean by there will be stretches where it’s not visible to you but it won’t …

Thanks for reading and responding brother. And I was actually looking for that post on stfu. As for frame. I understand it. But I have yet to internalize it to a point where situations come up in my marriage and I have a point of reference that allows me to hold frame in certain situations. I just go blank. I’m starting with trying to have the frame of I am the prize and see where it goes from there

It’s nice to hear not to feel guilty for resting. Bc I do. I get burnt out or worst injuried. My joints are starting to hurt me and I’m only 32

Appreciate that! I feel I have a bit of perfectionist attitude. I always feel the need to be doing and wanting the best thing. Otherwise I don’t feel it’s enough. Another flaw I’m sure

Great advice. There’s a lot to do around the house and I’d love for him to sit in the play pen and watch me but he screams. Whines and cry’s. The entire time it makes it hard to focus or get a lot of that stuff done. I’m not sure why he’s like this. The wife things it’s because the doctors took him away from us right when he was born. No skin to skin like they normally do. I’m not a doctor so idk if that has anything to do with it. But he is a handful.

Do some research. Collicky babies have nothing to do with what you mention. All his needs are well met and he still whines, some new born are just collic

Thank you for that advice. It’s tough he whines. Nonstop. If I sit him down to watch me cook he is screaming. So In those moment I let him be independent. But I do try to always do something with me and him every day. Even if it’s a walk. To a park. Swimming. In my OYS post my goal to take him to a new place every Saturday. I just am so excited for When he gets older. And I can relive all the hobbies I used to have and spend that good quality time together. Being a dad is something else ain’t it…

I can’t wait for him to be able to do BJJ. it’s on my top of list of things to get him into when he’s old enough

Amazing. And good to hear. I guess being that he’s so young. I feel like he doesn’t understand. So I’m waiting for those days. But you make a great point I overlooked. I want to be involved as much as I can. He doesn’t walk, or do much yet but whine a lot. I guess I’m looking for this type of advice. And things to do with him together
/r/askMRP07/08/21 12:59 AM

This is a huge part of my mission. I’m new to the whole dad thing. So I guess I’m looking for more things to do with him. He’s a very tough kid (collicky/whiny), so I guess part of this is asking for advice on what you’re saying. I want to be a better dad. Do you have kids, any incites on parenting/activies/being more involved at this age?
/r/askMRP07/08/21 12:56 AM

You might be right. I usually just push through and am alright. But I get this feeling like I’m a bad leader or being lazy if I take time to relax.
/r/askMRP07/08/21 12:05 AM

Yes I work 5-6 days a week till about 5pm. Then gym. Week days I’m home and settled in by like 7. Weekends I have the kid. I have one couple who watches him sometimes but they have 2 kids and a lot of the time have shit going on. I’d say about 60% of my paychecks go to the bills. Moving is definitely something I’m planning on doing but the market is through the roof to buy. So we’re holding off on that. But still looking. Not trying to make excuses. I’m taking the advice seriously.

My thinking is time spent with a therapist is time away from my kid. Maybe I should try finding one I can do zoom chats with and hit them up when he’s napping. I live in the middle of no where with no family near by or a baby sitter to watch him at the moment so it’s hard to leave for therapy
/r/askMRP06/08/21 11:04 PM

Besides here I am not. I enjoy spending the time I do have with my son but he’s so young I feel I can’t do much with him yet. But that’s a good suggestion to look into

Good to hear this Bc I laid in bed last night. Wondering if I’m just making shit worst and going to end up losing seeing my son grow up Bc of it. She already does do that to me with purchases and she has money. So I do understand what you’re saying. It’s more of the arguing that Bothers me and I’m inability to handle it properly

I think you hit it on the head here with the second part. And I probably would have responded better had she not thrown a temper tantrum and approached me in a less bitchy way. But again. I am the issue. And no counselor is going to tell me any of the information that works or am learning here. So now I just see it as a waste of time. She doesn’t understand that. So yes I think she’s uncomfortable and confused like you said She also mentioned that when we get time to have sex with our busy sched…

You’re right. It’s the bigger picture. Sex has never been the issue. It’s the constant arguing and unhappiness for me

Once we were in the thick of it. She tried to flip it by saying she was asking me Bc she wanted advice. But I’m very good at reading body language and Tones. It was none of that. She was being a bitch. Straight up. I been encouraging her to go to the gym. She brought up yoga. I said no problem. Do it! I’ll take the kids. And then she wanted to say during the fight. That I only want her to go to the gym for my benefit lol

I guess to go from wanting professional counseling to this is hard to justify if she found out. But as I type that I know everyone going to say I don’t have to justify it

I find it hard to STFU in some of these scenarios. Like being ask questions. “What are you doing to help yourself” “Did you look for the counselor?” Or other questions that make you look retarded if you don’t say. Something

I would be ready to leave if she shows up drunk again. And that’s good advice I should of said that. I sort of did. I said. Oh now you want to get counseling but when I suggested it you said no. I get that’s a more of a bitch way than what you said. But she just said. She didn’t shut it down. She wanted me to find the counselor which is bullshit.

Absolutely not I would lose it. But STFU was working good. I even started to add fogging and things I learned from WISNIFG. but she’s now complaining about bad communication. It seems as STFU is going to make it worst but what do I know. I know DEERing is worst than that. she keeps asking where I’m getting my advice and why don’t want counseling all of a sudden and how just reading is going to help us. I can’t say I found you guys clearly. So I’m not sure what’s the best way to move. She mention…

Solid advice here. I’m going to have to re read this a couple times to internalize it. Thank you “When I judge someone I tend to justify my own short comings.” Wow I never looked at it that way. And a lot of times I’ll see someone and be like “this guys a douche. Look at him walking around thinking he’s smooth” Or “look at this guy checking out this girls ass” When In reality. I used to, Or still do, the same shit. It’s a bizarre thing my mind does. And I really don’t like it Bc I catch my mind …

Thank you for the solid advice. One thing I noted was how you said you want to be non judge mental. This is totally something I want to fix within myself. I notice everytime I look at someone. I judge them. Every time I see a woman post her ass and get thousands of likes I get enraged. I hate that about myself. I want to not care. I want to not judge everyone I meet. How is this working out for you? And any advice on getting over this. It’s like right away my mind goes right to a negative judgem…
