Your feelings of guilt might be worth listening to. You're obviously not truly interested in the first girl. Be genuine and truthful to yourself - and her - and let her get on with her life. You write "then I'm alone again" - not wanting to be alone is not a sufficient reason to be in a relationship with someone. After all, I doubt that you would want to be in a relationship with someone who just wants to be with you to not be alone? While most people would prefer not to be alone, some people fi…

Might have been mentioned here already, but check out Matthew Hussey's videos on YouTube. Lots of advice both on flirting and safe and healthy dating for women

That guy and his channel is actually really good. Yes, women generally get dates quite easily, but his point is that perhaps women would like to chose who approaches them, not just chose who of the few that approaches them the go on a date with. A lot of women either have no clue how to attract a particular guy they like, or the put up a "bitch shield" and/or hide in their less approachable group of friends. Reasons may be many, they may be protecting themselves from getting hurt (again), be afr…

Yeah, you did. A number of the things you list would be sufficient reason on it's own! For example, being emotionally immature and not in touch with her emotions and talking shit about others behind their back. But just the fact that she is "not your type" and you don't find her fun to be around is all you need to know, really.

I think you answered your own question...

True, but it is basically giving a compliment masked as a question, somehow I struggle to see how that's gonna give a much longer answer or a genuine convo going (other than some form of "thanks")? Also starting out with a compliment too me just seems a little supplicating? I very much agree that them being beautiful is a shallow reason for wanting to get to know them, but apart from seeing if they seem charming/lively/etc until you get talking to them you've got mostly externals to go on anyway…

Very much in agreement. Any other good topics/opinion openers to start off with?

"That's for me to know and you to find out 😉" Of course, that might give her some expectations and not a good move if you are too far from backing it up...

Again, possibly a cultural difference there... Mean age of having children, especially among higher educated women in Norway is >30

First off, I so agree that it is shitty to mislead women actively looking for someone to settle down with, so I don't want to do that - that's why I pose this question. Might be a cultural difference at play though, as the Norwegian and US dating scenes and gender politics are quite different. Non-exclusive multidating is not normalized as much here yet. As for hunting the unicorn, I do have fairly high standards, but not in such a way that they are unrealistic. It's not that long ago I dated so…

I'm guessing being clever and witty, especially if referencing something in the profile is the way to go then?

I jokingly say I'm a drug dealer... I'm am anesthesiologist, so technically it's true, but always fun to see how long I can lead them on before I tell them that I am a "good and licensed drug dealer". It usually gets some laughs when the truth is revealed and the tension resolves... Also, live in Scandinavia, so gold diggers are not so frequent here...

Doing the pull-push thing is a great way to attract/exploit anxious attachment style needy women with tons of issues. It is manipulative to the point where even Machiavelli himself would think you're a psychopathic cunt. A self-confident woman will take one look at you and either outright or to herself say that you can go fuck yourself. I'll give you a piece of advice for free: Be better than this!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
