If all the information on complications and deaths from MGM were collected together it could bury this practice once and for all. Whenever something happens to parents are told "Oh this is a freak accident and has never happened before!"

They often get no anesthetic. They will scream, shriek, gurgle, and turn blue/purple before going into shock.

There is no denying to any sane, rational individual that the Bris is a form of ritual sex-abuse and mock/partial child sacrifice. Religious or secular, it is rape, torture and sexual-mutilation. The horror of those videos is plain for all to see.

We'll probably get our first estimate of how bad the problem really is by the reaction of the medical community to the proposed regulations.

The child can not give informed consent and it's HIS body. That's the point though. It's a cycle of ritual sexual abuse.

Nah. You're a concern troll. You're quick to criticize anyone attempting to study the effects on MGM on the brain, yet have nothing to say about the doctors that torture infants and intentionally mislead the public.
/r/MensRights08/11/17 02:46 AM

It's clear you have a pro-mutilation bias. Tell us, what ethical, scientifically valid studies have circumcisers performed to prove that torturing infants into shock doesn't have permanent effects on their brains?
/r/MensRights07/11/17 04:56 PM

It boggles my mind that people think you can torture an infant into shock and not have it affect brain development.
/r/MensRights07/11/17 04:52 PM

That's one of the Kafkaesque chains of logic circumcisers use. There was a circumcision pain study conducted at Sick Kids hospital in Toronto that was stopped half way through because the results were too horrifying to ethically continue. Remember: Circumcision is okay, but studying it is not.

who adds that comparisons between male and female circumcision are unhelpful. Translation: Anything that interferes with the narrative could be bad for business. Showing the similarities between MGM and FGM would actually help to develop empathy between the sexes and build bridges between the two movements. but how is sucking a baby's penis not paedophilia?? Many people lack the will to see it for what it is, so they invent excuses. The more horrible the crime, the faster they run away from the truth. The ritualized torture and rape of infants is about as horrible as it gets. Many decent people simply cannot cope with that kind of information.

It started in the mid-to-late 1800's in the British upper-class. From there it spread throughout the white English-speaking world. The British royal family believes themselves to be descended from King David and took up the practice. In the United States it was spread -along with FGM- first by religious zealots and then became touted as a quack cure. It has since become a billion dollar industry. It is now a culturally-embedded norm and has become a superstition in its own right. The majority of…

Other English-speaking countries were able to discontinue the practice though. My guess is they were able to do that by framing it as "Circumcision isn't necessary", as opposed to "MGM is really harmful" which could help the fathers avoid getting defensive about it.
/r/MensRights29/03/17 05:36 AM

I disagree. I consider amputation of healthy, erogenous tissue, near-fatal hemorrhaging and being tortured to the point of shock to be serious complications. All 3 complications are much more common than doctors let on. Other infants subjected to this don't make it. I'm confused, in what way does criticizing the women's choice movement benefit the circumcision choice movement? I That's a loaded question. This is about male genital mutilation not abortion. The loss of sexual pleasure is only one part of it. There is also the lasting neurological/psychological trauma; the loss of autonomy and dignity; the very real risks of the procedure that can result in anything from death to the total loss of sexual function. If it is a flap of skin then so are the those of the vulva, and the lips of the mouth.

It's not a snip for boys. They have to separate, crush or suffocate the tissue, and then slice off with a scalpel or cut off with scissors the flesh that has had its circulation cut off.

Quite sure a clitoris is very different. The clitoris is fundamentally different? Should we take women's word for that? Perhaps we should take men's word on the foreskin.

Perhaps one of the reasons circumcision exists is to remind us that while we have no ability to prevent pain in our children’s lives, we can at least stand by their side and help them through the painful times the only and best way we can—with utter devotion and love. What a narcissist.

I would be surprised if this wasn't one of its purposes. It's group trauma-bonding. As for the child, instill in him: violence, rage, fear, betrayal, and a loss of empathy and self-awareness.

You know what he meant. Neurogenic shock from extreme pain that causes a psychological state of dissociation. It's interesting that you corrected him on a technical term like that. It tells me you are in medicine in the United States? If so, then I know you are trained to lie through your teeth. You know as well as I do that the infants will continue to scream, shriek, gasp and choke until they either go into shock or sob inconsolably post-procedure before passing out from exhaustion.

That's the crux. Many American men will vehemently defend it. Some of those men will become doctors and repeat the trauma thousands of times over. Some of those traumatized children will then grow up and repeat the cycle yet again. In the U.K., Ireland and N.Z. it seemed to die out without too much issue. The United States, Canada, and to a lesser extent Australia seem to be holding out for some reason.

Genital mutilation is there to take away a person's sense of joy, empowerment, and self-awareness. It is used to remind the masses of the ruthless and cruelty of those in power and that they are not to be opposed. In ancient Egypt it was used to mark slaves and has been much the same ever since. It's a form of human domestication. It's also worth noting that you rarely if ever see FGM in a society without MGM.

I've heard it best described as the difference between a dimmer switch (uncut) and a on/off switch (cut). The uncut dick having more control over increasing or holding arousal steady. Correct. Intact men have far more feedback. It's a black-and-white-to-colour comparison.

I think a clitoris still has more nerve endings than a foreskin. Debatable. Bear in the mind the frenulum and rigid-bands together make up the most sensitive part of the penis.

Can you post your flyers, I would like to see the content of them. I know the type of heartless women you speak of, but they do not speak for all women and their numbers are shrinking. It was primarily men that pushed MGM, and I see a lot of women in Intactivism. These heartless women talk and behave that way because the herd culture allows them to. If adults sometimes have to speak to a shrink before undergoing plastic surgery, then as far as I'm concerned, greater measures should be taken if making such a decision on behalf of someone else. That's a great point. Parents should be made to watch. I've heard of times where the parents insist on it being done and then get the hell out of dodge. We're up against some very mentally-ill people that can twist the truth at will.

I did see the comments. To put it crudely, there is a lot of sheep-like stupidity and trauma-based denial, sprinkled with a few circumfetishist trolls. Educating the public is the key. The best weapon of all is simply video of the procedure. Many people think Intactivists are ranting loons until they actually watch the procedure for themselves.

The problem is that doctors lie about this issue constantly and the public is either to naive or too cowed to scrutinize them. Doctors feel themselves to be above the public. The solution is education with the internet being a great tool for that. When the full horror of MGM is shown, it is indefensible.

I've also seen that enraged, bizarre insistence from the father that the son must be mutilated as well. I suspect it is: The trauma of the event buried in the subconscious. To not pass it on to the son means one is forced to engage with the pain. A sense of envy stemming from an inferiority complex. Weak, cowardly men pass on these kinds of traditions. No. They have soundproof rooms in hospitals just for this. The baby will typically emit ear-piercing screams until he either goes into shock or has cried himself to sleep post-procedure. Once the baby has calmed down he is then taken back and the parents are told by the nurse (with a smile on her face) that he did fine and didn't even cry. I wish I was making this up. MGM goes back to Ancient Egypt where it was used to mark slaves. They could have cut off an earlobe or a knuckle or put a scar on the back of the neck, but they didn't. It denies full sexual pleasure and self-awareness, introduces shock and trauma, and sends a powerful psychological message that you are not an autonomous being. It's about marking the boy property of the Jews. Even if the boy dies on the eighth day they still do it. The group means everything and the individual nothing.

The clit is responsible for all female pleasure This is wrong. You are forgetting about the labia, vaginal walls, G-spot, and cervix. You asked for examples and I gave them. There is a vested interested by different groups in keeping this barbarism going. You believe what you want; I'm sticking with my gut. Male genital mutilation (circumcision) is very common in North America and it is almost always carried out on the infant with no anesthetic or comfort. It is extremely traumatic and if left untreated can cause lifelong psychological problems. One of the ways this psychology commonly manifests is a strong desire is to repeat and perpetuate the abuse onto others. These men who were mutilated frequently become very angry and irrational in demanding the same thing be done to their son(s). They are n…

Not true. The tailbone is an attachment point and protects the base of the spine. Wisdom teeth are there because before modern farming and dentistry people had to grind through a lot of tough vegetation. The foreskin, with the numerous functions it serves, is the furthest thing from vestigial.

In terms of erectile tissue it is a false comparison. It is not a false comparison however in terms of nerve-endings. The complex of the frenular-delta and ridged-bands is the primary sensory structure of the penis.

They are not comparable in the sense that one is erectile tissue and the other is not. However when we are talking about nerve-endings the two are very much comparable. The complex of the frenulum and ridged bands forms the primary sensory structure of the penis. This structure is always partially, and often completely, removed by routine circumcision. It is an often devastating loss of erogenous tissue.

Even modern day, doctors and parents, especially in the United States, tacitly admit to the intention of it affecting male sexuality by: 1: Saying it looks better and will be more desirable by his future partners. 2: Their steadfast refusal to acknowledge any evidence given that male circumcision may have adverse effects on sexuality.
