I agree. The other thing OP needs to do is GO OUT MORE. Now that you're not at school you're no longer forced to go out and socially interact with people. You have to force yourself to go out as often as you can -- open 5 sets day, whatever. Get an "all-purpose" suit: Try something that's slimmer fitting with natural shoulders(no pads) in a more casual color such as gray. Avoid black at all costs. A well cut Navy blazer with chinos/khakis or jeans is another good example. Dressed up enough for any line of work but fits in at a party or bar.

Style forum has a good thread on slim fit shirts. Different styles and brands fit different body shapes. Finding your own style is important but you should understand a bit about mens' fashion first. Learn basic stuff from MFA and the OP and get to the point where people are complimenting your clothes, and then branch off and do your own thing.

Here's the deal with GQ and why OP is using their images. GQ is a mens' fashion magazine. The editors are smart and have an amazing eye, but they're in it to make money , so solid fashion advice is mixed in with product recommendations and thinly veiled advertisements. If you know your shit like OP does, you can read GQ to keep up with trends and be inspired, but if you don't know the difference between argyle and fair isle, you are much better off following advice from the OP and MFA.
