Exactly. For romanticism to "work" we have to accept and love men however they are, forever, no matter how they treat us. Forget that.

This is really so sad. She's explaining away violence. Her hurt her when she was sick and probably at her lowest point. She's still defending him. Fuck, she's championing him and making it her own fault for not being able to forgive the unforgivable.

When I was a stripper, men would ask for free table dances. Literally it was $10 for a song for me to dance naked in front of a man and they wanted samples like it was Costco. Same LVM mindset.

Some guys, even when they seek therapy, are too self unaware to “do the work” required outside of therapy. Therapy does not fix a lack of personal insight or unwillingness to grow.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy23/07/20 01:11 PM
11

I get that. A good 90% of the money I made stripping was validating married guys bitching about their wives.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy23/07/20 12:13 AM

I agree. My intention wasn’t to make prostitution more legitimate, it was to the include strippers, shot girls, etc who aren’t literally having sex but mostly exist to validate men in a sexualized setting.

If the local law was the minimum age to strip is 18, he’d be in violation of employment laws to refuse to hire people under 21. I’m sure it was your jurisdiction had a minimum stripper age of 21. Atlanta had that for a while.

This is why the positive sex work narrative is so bogus. Jenna Jameson released a whole novel praising her time in SW, and now that she's out, she can see how terrible it was. It's hard to acknowledge how rotten it is when you're in it and have known nothing else. I would know: I was a stripper for over a decade after escaping an abusive home life, and only years after I was out did I realize how bad it really was.

Giving her this tool doesn’t mean this is the only time he pays attention to her. He’s showing he’s willing to do give her attention whenever she wants or needs it and giving her a tool to let him know when. Even people who live together don’t spend 24/7/365 together.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy30/05/20 08:19 PM
8

I disagree. Therapists call expecting people to always know what you want when you want it mind-reading. It’s a cognitive bias. You have to say what you need and the person has to be willing to meet that need. This is a healthy and cute way to enable her to express her needs in a way he understands and can easily respond to. Someone who didn’t want to meet her needs wouldn’t give her this tool.

You have your mind made up and aren’t here for a debate. Men and women do not work equal hours inside and outside the home.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/20 06:04 PM
1

I seriously don’t understand why you’re having an issue understanding this. Women generally did not work until the last 40-50 years. Most do now. Of course working women are not able to meet the same standards that SAHW/M could. And yet, the pay gap in favor of men still exists. Women took up more professional work and men haven’t taken up nearly as much housework, childrearing, and emotional labor. Why are you confused?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/20 05:58 PM
0

That’s totally situational. That’s not the rule.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/20 05:50 PM
1

How’s that?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/20 05:42 PM
2

Your response is full of generalizations. I don’t agree that higher pay always equals higher stress and I think it’s a pretty thin justification for not contributing equally to housework when work hours are equal. If one partner works 60 hours and the other works 30, that’s a different matter. Really, if both parties hourly pay is higher than the hourly cost of a housekeeper, then a housekeeper should be hired.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/20 05:35 PM
3

If two partners work equal hours, it doesn’t matter that one makes less.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/20 05:08 PM
7

Because everyone has to work now. Because women are expected to be full-time breadwinners in most cases, as well. Any man who thinks his wife can work like she's not a homemaker and play house like she's not working is deluded.

Because they’re both pornsick and emotionally stunted. They can’t get a woman their age to put up with their crap, plus they don’t get off on having a normal emotional and mental connection. A woman has to be somewhat of an object to them in order for them to be aroused.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/20 11:32 PM
0

If income and emotional maturity were equal, women would prefer men their own age. Because men make more than women AND because men are usually stunted in their emotional development, dating a marginally older and/or higher earning male partner is often an unfortunate necessity, both for achieving financial stability and having a partner with similar emotional intelligence.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/20 11:24 PM
1

Indulge me: what’s reality?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/20 11:19 PM
2

Probably because men are so emotionally stunted that women have to date older men in order to feel like they’re not dating a toddler.

30 isn’t old for men or women
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/20 08:54 PM
2

Who women pair up with permanently and who they find the most attractive are two different things. Take away the financial disparities between men and women and their choice of marriage partner would be much different. All older men have going for them is the wage gap.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/20 08:54 PM
7

Men do not improve with age as much as you think. Young, virile, strong men are objectively much more desirable than older men, even those that remain in shape. The only advantage an older man has over a younger man is having more money.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/20 04:46 PM
16

AITA, relationship_advice, and relationships are fucking intolerable. Women are always to blame for not providing enough. It’s our job to fuck like a pornstar, pay half like there’s not a wage gap, heal self unaware men like psychotherapists, provide sparkling conversations like a geisha, keep house like a Victorian maid, cook like a 50s housewife, keep in shape like fitness model, have our hair and makeup always done but it shouldn’t take too long, dress nice but not too nice, stay faithful eve…
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/03/20 11:13 PM
2

I’m not saying it’s right or wrong. I’m saying that’s the dynamic. Society expects men to be providers. We’re all conditioned to sorta expect that. Men even expect it of themselves. We’re just not past traditional gender roles yet. Men may have been doing it since forever, but collective memory doesn’t apply to one on one relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/20 01:56 AM
2

Because men get pissy about women being in a provider position. The woman has to lower her standards to accept what he can provide, which is less than what she can give herself. It’s awkward for both parties.

She’s still clearly traumatized and experiencing forgiveness is playing a trick on her brain. She wants to believe he didn’t mean it, that there really isn’t evil like this in the world. It’s probably too much to handle to know he meant it and men like this are everywhere.
