This sounds like a great idea I'm going to try it out! I think it will work great with her!

How much assistance should you give? I help her with all the things she screws up in and I know she doesn't screw up on purpose, but I don't want to over do it either and help her to much to the point that she expects me to do everything she can't and not try to improve herself

Yeah unfortunately I think if I tried the tough love comment she would say "yes it is true I'm stupid can't do anything right etc." we have no children so I can't play the parent angle. Usually what I do if I can't outright ignore it is I'll tell her. This is what we will do next time or what you will do next time depending on wether it's something that I should reasonably be able to help her with and completely ignore the comment about stupidity.

They do this because these men signed the paperwork at the hospital because they were conned into thinking the child was theirs. In the states mind the child's welfare is more important than doing the right thing so they hold that document to the man and say that he basically agreed to father said child regardless of biological paternity. Of course, if you had a vasectomy I doubt you would ever sign anything at a hospital without a DNA test lol.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
