Eiko Toyama had waited 32 years to leave her husband. Jesus Christ. She joined online meetup groups and made new friends. She discovered a love for the outdoors, going hiking, swimming, kayaking and snorkeling. She’s learning to play the piano and loves jazz. Because she couldn't do any of these things while married? Why do they always make it sound like being married to a man is like being in a literal prison cell? Deranged.

Even the right to vote part is very dishonest. 99% of men couldn't vote either for most of history. When we did get the vote there was a relatively brief period before women got it too.

A preregistered meta-analysis, including 244 effect sizes from 85 field audits and 361,645 individual job applications, tested for gender bias in hiring practices in female-stereotypical and gender-balanced as well as male-stereotypical jobs from 1976 to 2020. A “red team” of independent experts was recruited to increase the rigor and robustness of our meta-analytic approach. A forecasting survey further examined whether laypeople (n = 499 nationally representative adults) and scientists (n = 31…

Wrong attitude. Everything is related to men's rights. How do you think feminism became all-pervasive? Certainly not by imposing limitations on its scope. Quite the opposite. But we hold ourselves to a higher standard! Losing/ceding ground hand over fist for the last sixty years straight.

I don't think I could find them now, I saw them on Reddit subs over the years. The general theme was a shock at how coldly women started treating them. Living as a women they took for granted the way people handled them with kid gloves, but losing that they realised a lot more is expected of men by default. One of them I recall was upset that they were no longer trusted around children automatically and met with suspicion. Their dating prospects were a common theme - courting women is described …

Feminism is anti-natal because the results of it are anti-natal. You might try to argue it isn't based on your personal inner conception of feminism, but the reality on the ground is that it is harming fertility. Thats a simple observable fact seen in cratering birth rates across the countries with most female autonomy. Things are what they do, not what you say you want them to do.

Yep. For example Zurich University trained some models on exclusively pre-1946 data and it had some predictable results: Q. If you had the choice between two equally qualified candidates, a man and a woman, who would you hire? A. I should prefer a man of good character and education to a woman. A woman is apt to be less capable, less reliable, and less well trained. It doesn't protect women from infection. What a crock of shit. Do the 70% of countries globally that don't practice routine infant mutilation of boys have rampant infections caused by natural penises? No. Do you know what DOES cause infections? Inflicting surgical wounds on newborns and letting it marinate in a diaper. Boys regularly die from infections this way. Unconscionable.

This notion that babies don't remember therefore it's ok must be put to rest. The trauma permanently scars their psyche whether or not they are old enough to form coherent adult memories. Nobody would say a baby subject to child abuse wasn't traumatized just because they weren't old enough to remember. The concept is ridiculous.

Korean women prioritizing higher education and careers over raising children IS feminism. The single biggest correlation with declining fertility rates is years spent in education, and by extension, careers. This isn't controversial. The UN even said that increasing female education, particularly secondary and higher education, significantly reduces birth rates.

It's not just about increased sensitivity, it's about the type of sensitivity. Circumcised men have a higher rate of premature ejaculation because the nerve endings associated with climax were amputated.

There's unfortunately still a ton of disinformation in Google about supposed hygiene benefits, protecting against STDs and other nonsense. It also doesn't help that it's a multi-billion-dollar business for hospitals and circumcision device manufacturers (Gomco clamp etc) as well as pharmaceutical applications for things like beauty creams. Stopping the gravy train was always going to be an uphill struggle. Absolutely vile.

Second, that's a percentage of women already in a relationship. Many women aren't in relationships. It wouldn't be a backup man if she wasn't already in a relationship, now would it? Third, that's a UK study only asking 2,000 women. 2000 respondents is more than statistically relevant. I don't see why it being from UK is a mark against it. Overall you just seem mad that this is even a thing and I get the impression you are grasping at straws to deflect.

Also pre-puberty diagnosis of phimosis is pseudoscience. Males are born with a physiological state of phimosis where the foreskin is adhered to the glans with virginal tissue. How many thousands of bear encounters do they have? Needless to say, once you encounter a bear you are in much more peril than a random man, on average.

And yet most of Reddit somehow believes that women's health is neglected and underfunded.

This is an oversimplification. Women had duties in the past that warranted the privileges afforded to them. What we have today is an unholy union of progressivist feminism that has given women all the privileges of men, and the still pervasive historical privileges that have not been stripped away.

Labour is looking at introducing a men’s health strategy to address a “crisis in masculinity” that is costing lives. The plans could see an expansion in services which offer NHS checks in “men-friendly spaces” – such as sports grounds, pubs and workplaces – alongside efforts to encourage boys and men to be more open about their mental health. The party is examining strategies rolled out in Ireland and Australia, which have increased male life expectancy, and local schemes in the UK which have of…

A jilted girlfriend who lied she was pregnant with her ex-boyfriend's child and tried to frame him as a would-be mass murderer during a terrifying smear campaign has been spared jail. Jenny Keats-Rawling, 30, sent a chilling online SOS message to police wrongly pleading her life was in danger and alleging Jake Green was 'hearing voices and was wanting to kill people.' Police dispatched a patrol in a bid to to speak to Mr Green but called off their manhunt after attending at Keats-Rawling's home …

If she'd just accused of him of rape without further allegations I might agree with you, but considering she told a string of provably false allegations (video, cocaine, etc) which the police will soon find out, I don't think this will go anywhere and hopefully she is charged for giving false testimony to the police.

The jury found him guilty in 2003 based on flimsy evidence: At the time of his trial, there was no DNA evidence linking him to the crime and the prosecution's case against him was based solely on identification evidence. ...The body then commissioned its own testing which found that DNA from the victim's clothing matched another man on the national police database It's easy to see why it has been overturned.

Today, we view marriage as a 50-50 partnership. So, every duty, from bread-winning to household chores, must be equitably distributed. This has led to a lot of men avoiding marriage. They don’t see the arrangement as equitable but unfair to them. Except it isn't a 50-50 partnership, is it?

Why does a profession need to be 50-50 gender balanced? This whole concept stems from the belief that men and women are perfectly equal, with equal ambitions and predilections. Not so at all. I also disagree that professions that are female dominated (because men don't tend to seek them out) are in need of fixing.

Here's the deleted post if anyone is interested: The reason I say this is because I just watched a video of a male Uber driver basically getting groped. Many of the comments were saying "he liked it because he was holding her hand" "if the cameras weren't on he would've taken them home". There's two things wrong with this. First the blatant victim blaming. When I'm touched uncomfortably with no invitation I smile because I'm nervous and I have no idea how to react, not because I like it. I would…

The American dictionary Merriam-Webster is to change its definition of the word racism after receiving an email from a young black woman. Kennedy Mitchum, a recent graduate of Drake University in Iowa, suggested that the definition should include a reference to systemic oppression. An editor then responded, later agreeing to update their definition. The decision comes amid international anti-racism protests after the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Merriam-Webster's current definition of r…
