First off, fuck anyone that says that they're "self made" - regardless of gender. This absolutely shits on everything that every person that was alive before them did. Every person has benefited from schools and teachers that were existed & were alive before they were born. Every person has benefited from roads, waterworks, transportation, police, courts, governments with laws, etc, etc, etc before any of them were born. For anyone to say that they were 'self made' is the absolute peak of arroga…

I 100% agree. She is broken and that is all the more reason to stay the hell away from her.

I was saying she's broken and unstable, which is all the more reason to stay the hell away from her.

The fact that the lady was willing to, even potentially, inflict harm on someone else really does show how broken she is or could be. She could to go a place filled with adults and likely get the attention she was craving. I'm guessing that adults that perform this type of action with minors do this as minors are likely easy targets and they know if their adult partner harms the minor - it is effectively instant jail time. That last name, plus her apparent ethnicity, really implies that her husb…

I'm familiar with autism - my ex-wife is on the spectrum as is our kiddo. Your point is completely valid that some on the spectrum can these things more proficiently than others on the spectrum. Clear and open communication is another method that both can use. Saying 'yes' or 'no' are pretty universally understood.

Thank you for the vote of confidence per the knowledge that I've shared. I wish that I knew all of this when this entire situation started, as that would've made it a lot easier and less stressful. I say this as I used to react poorly from my former partner gaslighting me - I was paying attention to the emotion at that moment (how I was hurting and wanting to defend myself), and not the long term goal, and it's really easy to fall into that trap so you have to be incredibly diligent with not rea…

No. It's called being respectful of someone else's level of comfort.

Reading the facial expressions, watching body language or listening to tonal inflection are items I could point to that would help to keep the autistic person aware of how they're coming across. This does take practice and does require more effort, which autistic people already have a smaller/shorter social battery than neurotypical people.

That is a question without a definitive answer. Unfortunately, some people (men and women alike) get mixed signals OR take things way too far in their own heads. Other people actively lead someone on, with the intention to state otherwise after the fact (yup, been through that one). The best thing you can do to protect yourself is try to stay aware of how you are coming across to the other person. Consent is key. You can always ask "do you want to go further?" or "is it ok if I do this?" If they…

Thank you for that. It is my hope that someone else reads it, and gets useful information from it, and can improve their situation. Going through this was the truest form of hell I could imagine. Not being able to see my only kiddo, because the other parent was being active in creating situations that made it next to impossible. There were a few times where I saw my bank account go negative, and the other parent's response was for me to get rid something that I need on a daily basis (ie. the adv…

Admittedly, I had massive difficulty accepting that the marriage was over at that time. As time went on it was clear to me that she had, at least, an emotional affair. Again, looking back, I agree that she had been checked out before 2019. She had started chatting with the new guy sometime in 2019 - this much she admitted to. She nearly hit me twice, but I never did anything physical towards/against her. We agreed to live under the same roof as we have a special needs son, and we both stated in …

Agreed. I knew that I would pay some child support, and had no issue with that. The issue in specific is that the judge took what was a temporary scheduled (summer) and applied it as the standard going forward. I say that this is an issue as our son will be starting school this Thursday, as such, the amount of time spent with his mother will be less than it was during the summer. That said, I fully intend to file a motion to get the custody to 50/50.

I'm in the process of seeking legal advice, as I'm of the same view.
