...how is this not lying about being a woman? Your profile picture is supposed to be of you. If I put a picture of anything other than a man or a woman then yes, it's safe to assume a non-human or inanimate object is not communicating with you; otherwise unless it's a celebrity picture the assumption is you're a woman.

If you already have assets you inherit from a parent have them put it in a trust. IANAL, but having it in a trust that only names the child (and not the child's spouse) should assist in protecting said assets. Then the child can create a trust and go from there.

It's no one's business to spy on my personal life. This is an exceedingly naive statement coming from someone posting in TRP. If that's your opinion on things then there isn't much else to discuss here.

It's built in to most businesses--your boss has a position that needs to be filled. The first person your boss talks to about filling the position is YOU and anyone else that directly reports to the boss. The boss is obviously satisfied with your performance, and you're a person in your field, with your job description, so why wouldn't your boss immediately tap that resource to see if another well-qualified candidate can be located without dropping cash on advertisements and a candidate search c…

There's a few reasons this wouldn't be an issue. If you're self-employed in a career that doesn't require you to network (I really can't think of one, but I'm sure they exist) then not having an online presence would make some sense. If you aren't looking for a career then that'd also make sense. If you're in to some shady stuff then of course you want to be using pseudonyms, but by that point you're probably also connecting to the internet via VPN and/or TOR, at which point the whole "finding a…

Where employment is concerned I've always gone with the phrase, "It isn't who you know, it's who knows you." Another item I bring up to those who have difficulty finding a career: If I can internet search your name (and it is sufficiently unique, and not the same as a celebrity or notable figure in history) then I should be able to find at least 3 things on the first page of the search results page that are noteworthy, relevant or reliable about you. "Facebook", "Twitter" and "Instagram" as your…

Meh, sometimes I blur the lines a bit. I don't make any excuses, I just ask if there's a discount and see. If I get yelled at by some schmuck behind the counter I take my business elsewhere. If they tell me no, or actually try to be salespeople about it and offer me alternatives that might save me money while benefiting us both, then heck yeah I'm shopping there! I like motivated sales people, even if they aren't on commission.

Ugh! I call it the Nordstrom Effect. Once somebody has been given a ridiculous refund or unreasonable discount or concession just for being a little bitch (men included), it's like retail heroin- they'll never find satisfaction in a "normal" transaction again, and will evermore have their personal bar set to an unrealistic level everywhere they do business. I do this quite frequently, but not because I'm addicted to it; rather, I prefer to see if I can stretch the bounds and benefit myself in th…

I like how the bulk of her article revolves around "Dr Suzanne Petroni, the senior director for gender, population and development at the International Center for Research on Women", but later in the article Petroni is quoted as saying, "We need more research and evidence to tell us if it is actually happening for the reason we hypothesize it is – which is that gender norms and inequality have a significant link for suicide vulnerability". That's some top-notch hypothesizing on the part of the d…

13 years later there's nights I still want to beat some sense in to the woman that accused me of a sex crime against her. There's really nothing you can do, and you know violence doesn't solve anything so you go play video games or hang out with friends until the feeling passes.

| The women in your life are going to be extremely curious about your finances, to the point of hacking your computer. Not all of them, but many of them. Beef up your security. Good luck with that. If a woman can gain access to my financial information then I'll marry her on the spot, and heck I'll even employ her full time. Full disclosure: I write security software.

Besides, when women hate men, we hurt their feelings. When men hate women, they kill us: mass shootings have been attributed to misogyny, and sexual and domestic violence against women is often fuelled by a hatred for women. http://memecrunch.com/meme/LU1N/well-that-escalated-quickly/image.jpg Also, *fueled? I'm imagining a panel of guys... say, 5-7 guys from a frat house, who have to sit as judges like at a Miss Universe, Dancing With The Stars or Olympic event. Each college-age woman who thinks she is a 'hot little girl' walks center stage, does a twirl, then stands there while each frat guy decides how to rate her. If she gets above an 8.0 (after lopping off the low and high scores, for fairness) then she's entitled to carry a gun.

I do hope this doesn't get downvoted.... but OP needs to explain the difference between SRC 137 and SRC 136. Are they two sections of the same building? Two separate facilities? Based on the UOregon document and this description of the facilities it really looks like this is a non-issue. What they did is set one fitness room (out of two cardio rooms and 7 total fitness spaces) as women-only for two hours a day. ...if you're being wise about it... It's more appropriately called not having an entitlement complex. I've always had a sizable bank account not because I make a crap-ton of money, but because I make most of my meals at home, don't go out drinking, engage in activities that aren't continual money sinks and I don't pay everyone's way at a restaurant/bar just because I can.

A buddy of mine did something somewhat similar when he got married over 20 years ago. He and the new wife wanted to build a house. His dad owned a dozen or so acres just outside of the town where they worked and grew up. Dad allowed his son to build on 3 acres of land, so they put a house up on that land and lived in the basement while the upper floors were framed. Winter hit so construction stopped, and during that time he found out she was cheating. She went for a quick divorce and demanded ha…

These aren't an issue at all. I've noted every time these kinds of posts come up that all I have to do is say, "Cool, positive pregnancy test, let's head to the doctor and get another test, my dime." Using one of these as proof of a pregnancy is like using MyFitnessPal to determine if you're a diabetic. It's completely asinine, would be my point. :) Only fools will be so easily convinced an at-home pregnancy test means "time to get married", or even believes a single at-home pregnancy kit.

Well written from my perspective. I was accused over 10 years ago [on my birthday] and was able to fight off most of the charges. My thoughts on your bulletpoints: Hire an attorney immediately. Discuss it with no one. I did this the morning I was escorted off campus. Yep, was escorted off campus less than 48 hours after the arrest. I have two thoughts on this: The images were posted on the woman's employer's Facebook page. That's a pretty targeted way to post those images to inflict harm, so it's a pretty clear case of "revenge porn", exactly the type the law was designed to prosecute. The guy was a moron. If he really wanted to piss her off he should've posted it to a website dedicated to hosting nude images. Then he could claim 1st Amendment rights and further claim she gave him permission to take the photos, at which ti…

Two thoughts regarding your comment: Revenge, justice and self-defense are completely different things. If you are robbed you want to seek justice, not revenge. If you are attacked you engage in self-defense, not revenge. I fail to see a correlation between the OP's story and "being robbed or punched", those are two very different situations.

In what way do you believe I'm white knighting? I'm definitely not swooping in to save this poor damsel... I'm making a legal argument for why simply throwing her shit on the curb is a poor way to handle things, as it might not ultimately resolve the issue.

Try telling that to a police officer when you're pulled over. "Sorry officer, but I don't recognize your authority because I never agreed to it." I'm not sure you can argue "he never agreed to obey the laws of his municipality, county, state and country".

Revenge is petty and, in this case, against state law. As the side bar notes: "Women, the most responsible teenager in the house". Proper parenting isn't to simply throw the kid out the door, and playing eye-for-an-eye games with a teenager that doesn't have the same resources as you is the behavior of a bully, not a parent. I'm not really sure what the point of "fucking her back" is if the end result is that she's both pissed off AND living back in the house. There are better ways to handle thi…

I'm not a liar or a manipulator, and I honor my agreements. If she was living there and the law says she can stay until I give her 30 days' notice then that's what would happen. If my word and actions mean nothing then what value do I provide to society of I can't be trusted? Weasel-wording things and blatantly half-truthing your way out of a shitty situation are the actions of a woman and I'll have no part of that.

After reading this I was about to say the same thing. You can't just evict someone like that. All she has to do is show she's been living there and most U.S. states will provide her some kind of protection against being removed without notice. It doesn't matter if she isn't on the lease. It doesn't matter if no formal contract exists. If you've lived there and can prove it (a bill being mailed there is sometimes sufficient, having all of your stuff on the lawn doesn't hurt either) then the OP wi…

Yes, relationships are more complex than that. You don't want a relationship, even said so in the OP, so you don't have to worry about it being simplistic because it's the correct answer.

Why is the title relevant to seduction? Isn't this like going in to a financial advice sub-Reddit and saying, "Did you know over 90% of people in your situation are MORE concerned about their financial state than you?" You didn't really say anything useful because nervousness, much like your current financial situation, isn't driven by everyone else's current situation.
/r/seduction09/11/14 01:39 AM
2

If someone is interested they'll find the way to say something more than a dismissive series of 1-word answers. It'll happen, there's nearly zero ambiguity between someone who's not interested and someone who's stammering between sentences because they're nervous. Body language can tell you a lot in these situations!

This isn't something that occurs after one question/comment. Don't imagine a situation like this: Guy: "So what's your favorite color?" Girl: "Green." Guy: "Pfft, you didn't give me anything to work with, you obviously aren't interested, peace out." The situation is more like this: Guy: "Hey, great shirt, I love that band." Girl: "Yep." You touch on it slightly with your second tip, but in the "Mid" section you note "Girls always leave somewhere to go from the last thing they said." The converse of this is if they aren't leaving you somewhere to go then the only place they want you to go is AWAY, so take the hint!

Sadly I don't have the skills or knowledge to put together a decent flowchart, but I've thought it'd be useful to see some combination of a flowchart and/or spectrum graph outlining "the shades of TRP", or some such similar thing. Don't be outcome-dependent or get one-itis. Find another great person and get to know that person, rather than dwelling on what you currently can't have. If she replies then she replies, in the meantime you're going out and having fun.

As I've noted in TRP the many times this is posted, my response to any woman showing me a positive pregnancy test: "Nice, a positive pregnancy test. Let's go get another one, and let's go see a doctor." Nice, simple, straightforward. Unlike what the very minority of women might think when they are desperate to get hitched, most guys aren't going to think, "A positive pregnancy test? Here's a wedding ring!" I've gone a different direction and let women approach me instead. To be more detailed, I'm following TRP philosophy in that I'm improving myself rather than being outcome-dependent. For years I was under the impression that if I put enough effort in to wanting a woman that the end result would be that I'd obtain a woman. It was an objective dating strategy for someone who otherwise didn't think of women as an object. I'd much rather be alone but happy with who I am, and if I meet someone awesom…

In my area most contracts have a no-sublet policy. It's going to vary by area, of course, but subletting sometimes isn't the "way out", unfortunately. :(

It depends. I had a contract that said if I moved out early I owed the next 2 months' worth of rent and forfeit my security deposit. It's likely going to depend on what's generally considered acceptable in the area you're living.

The policy remains the same regardless of whether or not I'm doing anything sketchy or have something to hide. There's a gray area there where the undecideds reside. There's an old saying in politics: "40% of the country is Republican. 40% of the country is Democrat. The other 20% is who you have to win over." Seems semi-appropriate here... if the woman is in the gray zone you need to win her over, and you'll know if you have a chance by asking a question like that. If she is repulsed by the question then you weren't going to win anyways, why waste any more time/effort on her if she isn't interested?

This is at the core of RP philosophy, but the end result is "because it'll make me a better person", not "because it'll get me the girl". If you're working towards the end goal of "because it'll get me the girl" then you aren't working for yourself, you're working for someone else... what's the point of that? Be proud of your own accomplishments and don't let anyone (especially yourself) tell you that you're successful or a failure based solely on whether or not you "get the girl". That's a real…

I look at it the same way Billy Mays did: "These [hands] are my weapons." -Billy Mays, Pitchmen, Season 1, Episode 1 If you aren't using them then sit on them, but otherwise you should be able to create excitement and interest through proper use of them. I highly recommend it... kick out a random phone number from Google Voice, download the Google Voice app on your phone, tell it not to ever place phone calls and it's basically an overglorified text messaging app with a real phone number. If one of the guys insists you place a phone call to prove it's really you then pull up Google Voice, tell it you want to place a call, call the guy using that number and you're all good.
/r/TheRedPill12/09/14 02:08 PM

I was thinking a bit more short-sighted... if the short-term goal was to get the guy to invest more in the stripper it'd make sense for the stripper to be able to say, "Here's my #, we can talk through this." No guarantees of additional communication, but the guy would feel sufficiently validated that he had the number. From there the stripper could gauge "profitability" (for lack of a more direct term) of the guy via texts, weed out the thirsty/uninteresting ones, then utilize Snapchat and/or S…

I don't have any strong opinions regarding the bulk of the content, but one thing did stick out as odd: These factors have a collective impact on women’s lifetime earnings, robbing them of Social Security credits and limiting their access to company pension plans and security in retirement. I am saying they do not have to be in full support of every idea presented. You are presenting a very black-or-white, glass full-or-empty scenario where their not showing interest in this one topic precludes the concept that they are in favor of men's rights. I never said gender was an issue--the majority of the members expressed disinterest in the topic and majority tends to rule in these types of situations. I defend their actions because it is their group. It isn't wrong for them to express a…

Not all feminists are working on men's issues too. Those particular feminists made it clear what they were (and weren't) interested in. Why do you feel calling someone out personally is a valid form of discussion? I pointed out he brought up a men's rights issue with feminists. While I am certain there are some women out there interested in that discussion these women didn't appear to be interested. I'm not sure how this is relevant to what I said. He walked in to a meeting of self-proclaimed feminists and tried talking to them about a purely men's issue. I don't walk to a football team practice and start expounding on the superiority of soccer, that just wouldn't make sense. Why is it okay for him to demand to change the discussion to something that has little, if anything, to do with feminism, simply because he wants to feel accepted by that group of people? I'm not sure that questioning the valid feminist-related issues is a beneficial way to proceed. He brought up a men's rights issue and expected feminists to be engaged on the topic. That's kinda' silly, isn't it? Their lack of interest in a men's rights issue doesn't mean everything else they believe in is bunk. That'd be a black-or-white logical fallacy.

Circumcision isn't an issue that feminism should be taking up. What made you think a group of women would be interested in a man's issue? Damn I love having women buy me drinks instead. :) If a woman who is buying me drinks at a bar wants to accuse me of date-raping her with alcohol I only have to tell the police officer to check whose credit card paid for the drinks that night. Problem solved.

I'm a man who is victimized by this as well. My friends (fat, thin, they run the gamut) all sit with their legs all up in my personal space when we're sitting around the table. WTF, like I want to smell your junk when I'm sitting next to you, close those legs already!

I have an eating issue. I'm on keto right now and over the past several years I've lost anywhere from 70-110 pounds (depends on which month we're looking at, I've yo-yo'd a lot.) What has me motivated to lose right now (I'm 80 down right now from my high of 341) is recognizing my learned behaviors and consciously breaking out of them. Consider this scenario: You have a group activity you partake in once a week on a particular day of the week. It could be playing pool on Monday evenings, or going…

For three of my friends WoW isn't the sole reason they don't improve themselves, but it certainly enables their anti-social tendencies. It's what they do in WoW that's the catalyst... WoW itself isn't the problem, but they insist they "have to be the best". They all joined a guild that requires them to be on 4-5 nights each week for 3-4 hours each night. With that much effort being expended in WoW there's no way they can get a workout in. I occasionally nudge them to come to the gym with me or t…

What's the point of having a bean bag shotgun? If you are pointing a weapon at someone they shouldn't be alive when you use it. Why leave a living witness to testify whatever lie(s) he/she wants to spew forth? If you felt the need to fire the weapon then make sure that person isn't alive to tell any tales.

It seems dishonest to say "almost all debts are backed". There's nearly 1 trillion in student loan debt, all of it is unsecured (but nearly impossible to discharge.) There's also approximately 856 billion in credit card debt, most of which is unsecured. That's a bit under 2 trillion in unsecured debt out of a total of 11 trillion, hence why I'm dissatisfied with your statement that "Almost all debts are backed". Related to this: Any debt backed by an asset is not a debt, it is an investment. I tell people "I'm not in debt" and they say, "Dude, you have a gigantic house and a nice car". Yeah, so? I'm not in debt! If I lose my job tomorrow I can sell at 80% of value and still come out ahead, and sell the car to pay off the car loan. Combine that with the ability to borrow against my 401(k), my portfolio and my savings and there's no way any reasonable person should say I'm in debt. I have zero credit card…

It's more about banking risk vs. reward. If your apartments are insured and you screen your tenants well then you likely have very little issue. The part that's risky is that you don't own what you are renting out, and while renters are available in record numbers after the American recession there's still the possibility of spotty income between months. The last apartment complex I stayed in tried to stay above 90% occupancy month-to-month, but occasionally they wouldn't meet that goal. While y…

Dave would likely say something along the lines of, "This is great if you can afford months where your income may significantly fluctuate." I'm also pretty sure he'd say something like, "Don't make your investment income part of your primary household income." By that I mean you shouldn't be dependent upon that passive income--if it goes away tomorrow will you have to significantly alter your lifestyle? This would be bad discipline, and in turn this would signify the debt as "bad debt".

He actually recommends two paths, from what I've seen. The one you describe is, mathematically, the best way to do things, and I highly recommend it if you have the discipline to pull it off. For some people the motivation to succeed needs checkpoints along the way. For those people he recommends paying off the smallest balance first and paying the minimum on the rest. This provides short-term "success" feelings which in turn feed the snowball effect that he champions. The snowball effect means …

For me, upping fat intake helps a lot with this. If you need to eat 2000 calories it's much simpler to eat fatty foods that are calorie-dense. Almond butter is flippin' amazing, and is typically 170-210 calories per 2-tablespoon serving. Heck you can go eat peanut butter right out of the container (160-200 calories per 2-tablespoon serving) and enjoy eating 1000 calories in about 10 minutes, LOL.

The MRM should be about dragging females down to "our level", it should be about retaining equal rights for all, regardless of sex. There's no "moaning" here it's a valid complaint--this has nothing to do with mens rights. As a man I gained nothing by the information provided in the article! I'm not content to simply say, "Yay, females have less pull than they once did!" It is absurd to equate another group losing power as "progress" and I have no problem stating it as such.

I've been around long enough to know that some folks are more inclined to post things based solely on two factors: 1) Women bad. 2) Men good. That shouldn't be the at the core of MRAs, and as someone else noted a day or two ago I'm increasingly disgusted at the amount of "woman bashing" that occurs in the name of mens rights. Wiretapping involves all recorded audio, not just those facilitated through a transmission medium (i.e. telephone). One-party consent states are those where only one person in the conversation needs to know there's a recording going on for it to be reocrded. Two-party consent states typically use "two-party" as an over-arching term for "more than one party consent" and can include anyone and everyone participating in a conversation. See internet and local laws for additional details. IANAL.
