So disappointed with the redditors here. When someone asks for advice and tells you that she did something wrong, don’t gang up on her and downvote her. She’s asking for advice! Correct her outlook. That’s not what the downvote button is for!

Completely agree! I’m actually from a very religious Jewish community where the dating period is laughably short by secular standards. I dated my husband for about 2 months. We were engaged for 3. I’m sure that sounds insane to most people!

Happy I could help. Like everything in relationships, it’s not easy but it’s rewarding.

It’s very simple. You must fully trust your partner. If you don’t you can’t give in to them. You must be certain they have your best interest in mind, that they love and are committed to you. From there, give in to them when you can, allow yourself to bend to them. If you’re given the option of being stubborn or giving in, choose to give in. If you can either be a martyr and do everything, or you can allow your SO to do something for you, choose to let your SO do something for you, give in to hi…

“I wonder how to avoid being stuck with the wrong person and not noticing” If you’re looking for a relationship, there is your problem—a lack of commitment. If you and your boyfriend are not committed to each other fully, then he will not be the right person because no one is the right person. Obviously I don’t mean if he is abusive or terrible, but if he’s a good person and both of you have faults, commitment is vital for the life of the relationship. Will you hate him sometimes? Probably. Will…

I’m so sorry. You sound so strong and powerful!I’m sure it doesn’t feel like it right now when you’re so incapacitated but your husband seems really lucky to have such a stalwart wife! The only thing I can say is lower your standards for those few months. You WILL feel okay again one day to get back on top of them, but for now, I’d say, do everything you can for your comfort and happiness. Can you order groceries online and get them sent to your house? Can you send your laundry out? Your toddler…

My husband and I diet together, so I can’t help you from the s/o interaction aspect. However, here’s what I’ve found that really helps: -make a third of your plate veggies or low-sugar fruit with every single meal, and eat that first -if you’re counting calories, instead of doing a morning-to-night calorie allotment, consider calculating from evening to evening or afternoon to afternoon. That way calorie count: 0 starts right before dinner, so I have a light dinner before bedtime, and save my ca…

Haha. I guess I should say “you’re funny, but that hurts.” That way everyone is covered.

Gosh you sound just like my husband... that’s one of the things that annoys me most! All that unnecessary snark! He will happily go a step too far for the sake of a joke. I know he’s joking but I still can’t dissociate. What does your wife do that makes you seriously consider stopping the snark? And thanks, about the second part—that’s actually helpful.

This is so true. My husband’s really good friend went through an awful divorce and is now estranged from his children. Not much bothered me then.

Thank you. I did this mentally in my brain yesterday and it was very helpful. I definitely want to start a journaling habit!

Really interesting post. I truly don’t mean to offend or anything, I just want to understand for myself: do women get any sexual pleasure from giving blowjobs? I can’t imagine ever enjoying it but I want to make my husband happy, especially since he devotes plenty of time to me. Is it just doing something for the man you love, or do you get genuine pleasure? I find it all physically exhausting and rather unpleasant, and truly wish I didn’t. Has anyone been in my boat but now enjoys it?

We eat very healthy wholesome homemade meals. It’s not about junk food. People assume he puts out but he actually eats healthier than most people. Obviously his metabolism completely sucks and he just has to eat very few calories. But you’re right, I should stop nagging and mix out.

Haha thanks you too, this is basically the conversation going on in my brain—my exact question. I don’t know if I should give him all my helpful ideas—let’s use small plates! Let’s get your metabolism checked!—which he obviously doesn’t appreciate but maybe it does spur him on... or STFU and not bring it up at all. TBH I feel like I really shouldn’t bring it up but it’s so, so hard.

Hmm, interesting. He is of course really frustrated with himself but I don’t think it’s emotional issues—I think he just likes food as much as the next person since its delicious and makes you not die and doesn’t want to limit himself to 800 calories a day.

Thank you, I really appreciate you sharing your journey. He’s actually constantly aware of how much he eats and like you has a very slow metabolism. He has a hard time severely restricting calorie count, which is what he needs to do, because he gets migraines when he does and they disrupt our whole schedule. So it’s a depressingly slow process. We’re both very open about his weight issues and I’ve been very frank with him which he appreciates—he prefers not to be lied to. So I don’t have to brea…

Hey there, I’m actually very familiar with the Leto diet—my hubby introduced me to it. Due to stomach issues he isn’t able to do keto. That’s what I meant by health consequences :( But I really appreciate your effort to help, and I agree, keto is incredible for weight loss

Im a religious Jew who only wears knee-length skirts/dresses and modest tops. We have loads of little shops that are very very modest but also stylish and trendy. You may find them too modest for you. (Not a fan of eShakti, I find the styles a little frumpy personally.) Off the top of my head: Mimumaxi.com Solika.com Thefrocknyc.com Junees.com Wukogals.com Some popular shops. I also find HM and Zara to have plenty of modest clothes if you thoroughly search. Also, if you’re looking for much lower…

Besides for commonality, the pressure of living in a community where everyone knows each other helps the couple stick it out (for better or for worse.) I too live in a community with arranged marriages (there’s dating and the couples have the final day but the parents vet heavily and are extremely involved) and there’s pretty much nothing more shameful for a woman than divorce. It’s so utterly conspicuous here.

Thanks :) I think the faster I accept that I'm female and I have silly emotions, the less I will give them credibility and obsess over them...

Maybe I don't understand you correctly, but it seems that to you the Red Pill is just about believing people can't have good intentions. I do, though. Sorry about that, bud.

That is definitely true at this point in my life--we're both on break from work and I need to be constantly active. I didn't even realize that's why it got much worse. Just another reason to return to work! Thank you.

If he still can tell that you're often upset, and can't let it go, try to take a deep breath, smile, thank him for being so wonderful and supportive, and give him a big kiss, instead of a cold sounding "nothing..." This sounds like a wonderful idea to cut the cycle of negativity. I will try to be more positive about him than negative about me. Thank you :)

I appreciate you answering my question and I agree that I often slip into a victim role, but I don’t understand why you think I’m being so insidious. “Trying to control him”? “Anything negative you think about him”? I’m just wondering how women manage to change their more unsavory traits and keep things to themselves if their SOs notice that they’re upset.

I don't feel dissed, I was just suggesting that it's easier to stomach good advice when the adviser makes an attempt at being considerate. I don't believe in being overly PC but there's a kind way to say things and an unkind way to say things. But I assume that this subreddit is a forum of escape from social niceties, so I'll just get used to taking things with a grain of salt.

I disagree. The Red Pill is--at least should be--a perspective, not a movement to create assholes.

I agree with red pillery but your particular brand of truth bomb is of the party-pewping variety. You go for the offensive. It kills the mellow vibe. It's probably really fun though.

Absolutely agree. To be honest I exaggerated the attraction on my end a bit for the sake of post brevity. He's a bit too alpha male-buff-show-off for me... It's the too-serious intellectuals that really get me :) But I thanks for the answer, I'm fairly new to the whole RP thing and it obviously makes a lot of sense to me so I'm enjoying understanding the perspective better. Particularly in the religious society in which I live, roles are very gendered so the better you understand men and women's…

You're like this asshole superhero cavorting around dropping pewpy truth bombs everywhere. You smile in your sleep at night knowing that you're making the city free of naïveté and gentle free-spiritedness. I would watch that movie.

Not into Jesus but that was hilarious and a little too accurate. I'm going to make sure we're not in a room alone together anymore.

It is just a symptom of your internal conflict. It has nothing whatsoever to do with your ability to ward a guy off. Okay you're right about that. I was just having a knee-jerk pissed-off moment because I can't handle attacks on my self-awareness. Man. Can't you dispense advice a bit more politely? In any event thanks for the needed reality check.

Why do you think I posted a question? For you to say "go ahead, sleep with him, you deserve it?" Of course I know I want to get into that kind of relationship. I'm asking for advice on how to ward it off because I'm not sure how to go about warding off someone to whom I'm actually attracted. That is why I'm asking the question. Because I consciously don't want to sleep with him. Even though I'm emotionally attracted to him. Because I can, to some varying degree, attempt to separate current emoti…

Lol duh. I know that I'm severely attracted to him. That's the whole point of the post. But if he were unattractive I'd absolutely still want to learn under him. He's really that good. Thanks for your attempt to educate me about myself though, it did make me laugh.

I'm not afraid he'll be offended, I just really want this to work out because he's everything I want in an instructor and I'm not going to find another like this. Not looking for a magic trick, just wondering what the best way is to go about this. What do you mean by being politely direct? Would you find it offensive if I made it clear that we were incompatible for religious reasons?
/r/RedPillWomen11/12/16 03:04 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
