The internalized misogyny isn’t about the idea of femininity or dressing one way or another. In this case- It’s the idea that women are responsible for men’s behavior via the way we dress. They’re responsible for their own behavior.

This rhetoric does nothing but continue the cycle of holding women accountable for men’s actions, attitudes, misogyny and hate. Pandering to the male gaze is so internalized even ‘woke’ women fall victim. If women are fighting one another, men get a pass on changing their behavior and cognitions. Men hate fuck women. That’s the problem, end sentence. We continue to hold our standards and hold ourselves and other women accountable when we see internalized misogyny. We call out patriarchal BS. We …

I’ll take ‘wordsalad that I think makes me look insightful and makes a point for 100, Alex’. If they’re going to take the time to message, you’d think that it would be well laid out and concise. Even the messages are low effort. 🤷‍♂️ all he’s got is basically ‘mah penis tingles therefore woman is object. Mah penis no tingle for dude therefore he not object’.

Could it be autism? Sure, that could be an explanation. And- if you leave their company feeling invalidated, unheard, alone, dismissed.. the explanation doesn’t matter. Your feelings matter. Bottom line- there are men who fit your criteria of high intelligence and won’t leave you with negative feelings after spending time together. If you’re asking- can I look at his behavior in a different light, more understanding around the possibility of neurodiversity etc- yes of course you can. That’s a be…

….When part of his justification for lusting after children/teenagers is that they act like children (‘they’re not going to listen to what you tell them anyway’). And it still doesn’t seem wrong in any way.. You might be a predator.

She could get promoted to girlfriend if she’s able to prove she’s nice and does domestic labor. She doesn’t want to be your girlfriend if you’re still in the FWB is what I want mindset. Want a girlfriend, do some self improvement and set your own bar high enough to stop putting out low only enough effort for casual sex from the women you describe as only fuc$able.

That upgrade will never happen. Ever. And we all know that if he wanted to propose, he would have already. He’s coasting on this and biding his time, knowing she will keep lowering her standards to keep him.

Overreact? Does he mean - others might have expectations of behavior that align with his age? I’m confused. Do we expect more from a 40 ish than a 30ish? No. So really, the only thing he wants is to be able to shoot his shot at women who are not age appropriate. Douche.

This trend is disgusting. Even worse is that women are taking the professional photos and promoting it on their business pages. And the women participating.. the internalized misogyny is being passed to their children too… so sick.

1/2 of the shared bank account (doesn’t state that this is the only bank account, joint asset) Half of 2 homes (joint assets) Know what this doesn’t say? 1/2 of any business ventures or other assets held by him, investments, retirement, cars, planes, boats, other accumulated assets. One would imagine that this is where the monthly alimony is justified by the courts. Marriage has joint assets… why is this news to anyone? LVM and their victim complexes.

Probably staged, but it sets a good example for men of how they could be allies and hold one another accountable. Ish. Some white knight shit along with it which adds some ick factor… but it’s at least showing that men can be aware of other men and not overlook shit behavior. Maybe? I’m torn about how to feel here.

Does it matter why she wants the towel? She does not need to justify using an item, bringing an item on a trip, whether it’s a need or want, how it helps or doesn’t, etc. She needs to justify this to absolutely no one, and not need to even mention it to anyone else. I’m not sure that it’s relevant to bring up why a different towel is good for different hair (though we all know it is). The issue is the lack of respect shown to another human being and thinking that it’s okay to undermine and sabot…

Two actually, when I was dating (now in one LTR). But, they were sprinkled between non-starters like- wanted to pick me up for the date and warned me that he had an interlock device on his car, one who wanted first date to be at the park so his daughter could play, married men, or on first date guys who said they were poly/enm 🤢 Keep your head up, don’t settle :)

Going through a divorce years ago- ended each and every male friendship I thought I had. Male friends/ friendly acquaintances they made passes in person, via DM or poked around at whether I was ready to date again. Married friends thought they would try to get the inside scoop on reasons for divorce so that they could either give me ‘advice’ or set me up with their friends. Many were people I’d known for 20ish years and had only friend vibes ever with… never different. Not flirty, nothing. Bound…

It doesn’t matter. The bottom line is that, according to the information we have, he took exactly zero steps towards independence. Instead he waits for a replacement to her labor. Could she be manipulative/enabling/codependent? Yes. Likely so. Narc tendencies? Likely so. Maybe the new wife is leading him towards independence? I have no patience or empathy for grown men with no backbone. Again- both can be true at the same time.

Maybe a not so popular opinion to follow- The mother is understandably grieving (not in a sense of death) the loss of her previous life and now this change as well. I think many people would feel used by their child as an expendable placeholder in similar situations. But, she WAS enabling him and he took full advantage of her enabling nature. I do see her actions as enabling because she didn’t go for a short time until the man could get through some grief and rebuild, she went to stay and likely…

There are studies that show men overrate their attractiveness compared to women, and that conventionally unattractive people overrate their attractiveness compared to conventially attractive people. I agree that some of these guys on dating apps know they’re misrepresenting themselves and do so on purpose and that trend is backed up by those studies. When I tried using online dating back in the day, I was blown away by the amount of men who thought they looked younger by 10plus years or would li…

Ask him how a male friend or relative’s life changed when their spouse was pregnant, and/or the baby was born. Or, ask about how their friend/family member’s life changing after marriage. The responses are telling.

Matched with ‘Jeff’ , a divorced engineer with no children who lived 45 minutes away from my city. After one rushed date in city between our homes, googled and found he was ‘John’, who recently made our local paper for opening a microbrewery with his friend. Men are NOT!!! less likely to get custody of their kids. They ARE less likely to ASK for custody. That’s a bunch of BS that is not supported by any research. I love your post otherwise, well stated and validating.

Yeeep. Tried couples counseling with the ex. While I’m glad we tried, the lack of self awareness and ability to account for his own actions was so blatant, it helped me to realize the extent of his gaslighting. So, overall, it did help ME with the relationship (that it had to end and I wasn’t over reacting, I wasn’t being disrespectful <his most favored gaslight> , and wasn’t lacking), that emotional abuse was absolutely present and I wasn’t imagining it. I recall leaving the second session just…

Didn’t you hear? Women are responsible for men’s decisions, ego, morals, feelings, mental and emotional health, physical health, social skills, coping skills, and character. If he cheats, it’s clearly because of a fault in the woman. /s 🤡

This rhetoric over primal breeding instincts is pathetic. It’s thinly shielded justification for being shallow and misogynistic, immature. Sperm ages and becomes less healthy. Science, people. There is no benefit to women in choosing an older man if we want to have children. ZERO. ‘Last year, the journal JAMA Psychiatry published a study about paternal age that included this design, and, to put it mildly, the results were alarming. The study used a full census of births in Sweden from 1973 to 20…

I haven’t so can’t comment with any experience. I did do some google research about it at one point and the results were not as I expected- no more personality traits, abuses, etc were found in non-monogamous vs monogamous people. I’d never enter a non-monogamous relationship for a multitude of reasons- health worries, mental and emotional load, just not aligning with the values or attitudes, etc. It is not appealing. I’d feel like I’m settling for trash. It’s just not worth my time. I’m maybe m…

At 17, dated a 26 year old. I can’t properly explain how, as I got into my late 20s, the full ick factor kicked in. I can’t imagine at that age being attracted to someone so young. They don’t even register in that category. It’s gross. I can say that he absolutely was perverted for pursuing me and things going as far as they did. He met his now wife, who had daughters around that age (16, now his stepdaughters) and I winced ever time I saw them, wondering if he saw them as off limits.

🙌🏼 He won’t love the kids you have with him more than his other kids just because you’re the mother. When they show you they’re garbage parents, believe them. If they wanted to be involved they would be. If they wanted more custody, they’d be seeking it. If they cared about these kids, he’d be involved. He’d be providing support.

I’d appreciate someone who is living in this condition if they’re hustling to move up and on, saving, working through college, whatever to level up. If you don’t come from money, this is what you do rather than borrow more than needed in college. You penny pinch, save, while you’re investing in yourself. Wouldn’t date them, and think they need a carpet cleaner (so cheap to rent), some grown up furnishings.

For a legally binding surrogacy, a spouse goes through psychological exam, medical tests, and has to sign a contract. Each state has different legalities, etc. IVF involves medications for weeks before and after an embryo transfer. Even if traditional surrogacy, unless it’s bound to be a shit show, there’s a contract in order to determine parentage intention. Total troll post.
