Live in suburbs near city, but my family has an apartment in the city. I do not drive but she does. I don't really like socializing over dinner/movie anyway. I am athletic and she runs competitively so I am thinking something a little more sporty. Maybe go ice skating? I have read the side bar resources. The only other way I learned was watching my friend who either has internalized all of the pick up advice or is just an amazing natural. The way the kid kinos, interacts, and just generally acts is amazing to see. I would not say I am a natural, but I could be wrong. All of the "material" you saw in the FR was random bullshit off the top of my head I came up with in the moment. The only active change I made was adding kino and talking to everyone.

I touch the upper arm a few inches above the elbow for 1-5 seconds depending on how I feel, how she reacted, and whether/when the moment passes. Honestly most of this is just natural for me. When I extend my arm from its resting position by my sides this is the place that is easiest for me to touch and I touch for as long as I feel comfortable. I touch very lightly. Usually I am just resting my hand on their arm or tapping the arm.
