It's the halo/horn effect.

This is true based on my experiences in real life. Often times I would meet women (mostly non white) at communist/socialist events who would be highly outspoken about feminism and then when I would meet their partners nearly all the time they would be white tall traditionally masculine men. You would think that progressive people would give unconventional men a chance. And the points about going 50/50 is also true based on my experience, it's like they want to have their cake and eat it too. Dat…

When the average woman is single you can assume she is still sexually active, when an average man is single you can assume he is not sexually active.

I was a part of those online communities before Elliot Roger and when that incident happened it felt so bizarre seeing a word used by such an obscure small online community become part of mainstream language and how it is used as just a generic insult now. It is also how I know how heavily straw manned "incels" are. It is actually so bad, similar to people thinking Canadians live in igloos.

This doesn't contradict the black pill, you are just being racist and calling non Swedish immigrants ugly. A good looking man is good looking no matter which country he immigrates to.

But isn't the common sentiment that gender equality would lead to less of this happening? So just more reporting of it doesn't explain it.

It's because good looking and high status men have women throwing themselves at them, so they have no need to be nice, it's only the undesirable men that are forced to be nice to women.
/r/BlackPillScience02/03/25 10:24 PM

yeah and this only applies to average and below men. The top % of men who have women throwing themselves at them are just as non-romantic as the average woman.

It's really only on reddit (filled with outliers or liars) where it's common to hear about men making less than their wives and even letting their wives work while they stay home and raise the kids. In real life hypergamy is extremely common and obvious. In more patriarchal developing countries it's more money and status based, and in more equal western countries it's more looks based.

I don't agree about social skills mattering based on my experiences and what I see in real life based on the single guys I know. I will do my best to explain why I think is: I have a friend who is extremely social, his work requires him to talk to many different people every day, I don't want to dox myself but basically he is kind of a social worker or social worker adjacent. He's very extroverted and people love being around him, No one would point to him as an example of a guy with poor social…

I think often times people use the word objectified as a strawman. When a man or woman are horny it's normal to want to have sex, that doesn't mean they are objectifying the other. Like do people objectify their accountant that does their taxes? the cashier that is cashing you out at the dollar store? The doctor treating your illness?

I don't know why there is such a push to portray lonely unwanted lowest of the low men as the ones sexually assaulting most women.

I don't think there is anything wrong with being nice, or too nice. The way people perceive other men as being a pushover or weak is based on how they look. A short ugly guy with recessed features and a thin frame who doesn't speak out when someone insults him will be perceived as being timid and a pushover, while a tall good looking robust thick skulled guy would be perceived as being stoic and morally superior for turning the other cheek. And despite what I read on reddit most of the "nice guy…

Women have sex for other reasons that physical attraction, like for money, or for a promotion, or she had to settle with a guy and wants a baby.

I have many cousins and friends with young children and I have spent a lot of time with them taking them to parks and amusement parks and play dates, and it never helped me with women. The only thing that helped me was getting surgery, and my current girlfriend even tells me that I would be a great father, so I know it's not me being overconfident with my skills with children.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/24 01:20 PM

No looks are extremely important. improving my looks is the only thing that helped me with women. Otherwise there would be no correlation with good looking, rich or high status and success with women. What women say and what they do are often times extremely contradictory. In surveys and on dating profiles they might say things like they are attracted to intelligence or humor but when it comes time to actually date it's just looks, money and status
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/24 01:17 PM
2

Yeah there is also money and status. and to a lesser degree dick size.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/24 01:12 PM

Women virtue signal. After I had surgery and was able to get sex and relationships women will say they are attracted to my intelligence or humor, but I know that is 100% bullshit, they are attracted to my face, if it were my personality or other traits I wouldn't have had problems with women before my surgery.

On reddit people absolutely do not believe that because of the halo effect, in their minds if someone struggles with dating they 100% must be an evil bad guy who is always up to no good and disrespects women, they can't comprehend that in real life the majority of sexless guys are genuinely good people.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/24 12:54 PM

It proves blackpill because you said you would get your son surgery to look better.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/24 12:53 PM

No amount of socializing or going on dates helped me, fixing my face through surgery is the only thing that helped. It is also how I realized that women in fact do approach and that you really don't need to put any effort into it, as long as you pass the threshold women make is extremely easy and obvious. Charisma and social skills = looks. It's textbook halo effect.

A lot of those guys got arranged marriages or married their cousins if they are ethnic, I think a lot of white redditors are completely unware of how common that is in ethnic communities, also a lot of them are average looking so obviously they will be able to eventually find a wife, but it's very rare for them to find a wife that is a looks match, the vast majority of them date down in looks.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/24 01:10 PM

This is a strawman, as you are assuming men who are not successful simply lack social skills.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/24 01:08 PM

1/1000 is an extremely high rate, the actually success rate of going on a date for an ugly guy is closer to 1/300000. And even then that is just a date with no sex or intimacy.

This aligns with how hard men have it in western countries, because things like incels don't exist in non western countries with more favorable gender ratios. Then on top of how hard men have it, people actually think men have it better than women in western countries which just amplifies how hard life is for men. And then you have people trying to downplay and dismiss it by saying both genders have problems, but that is a bullshit argument, the equivalent of saying billionaire only made $240 mi…

It's only ugly people that you would perceive as being visibly self conscious and uncomfortable. It's called the halo effect. Someone like John Mayer would never be perceived as uncomfortable when he legit has anxiety and panic attacks and has to take medication for his anxiety, Good looking people will always be perceived as being confident. An ugly guy owning his flaws will still be ugly and sexless and will not be able to attract anyone despite how confident he actually is.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/24 11:59 PM
1

When people say they have an ugly friend they are often times just lying if on the internet. But if they say this in real life often times it's a guy who can't accurately rate other men and the guy that they point to as being ugly is always extremely dimorphic and hyper masculine and very good looking to women.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/24 11:56 PM
3

Yeah like money and status, not behavior, humor, intelligence, or personality, or any other blue pill things.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/24 11:54 PM

Also there are good looking guys who treat women like shit, who are addicted to drugs, have anxiety and take medication, and all sorts of other bad things, who have loving relationships and active sex lives. No amount of behavior or body language is going to get an ugly guy laid. Then on top of this is the halo/horn effect, an ugly guy will never be perceived as having good demeanor.

I have a friend who is into PUA and sometimes when I'm with him he will randomly approach women, and I can confirm women in fact get extremely hostile, sometimes he deserves it, other times it's uncalled for. Most men aren't even addicted to porn. Roughly 200,000 men are addicted to porn in the US, 69% of American men watch porn and the adult male population is 138 million. So roughly 0.2% of men are addicted to porn. Porn addiction isn't a serious problem as it is often portrayed on reddit.

There are more men than women in the 18-35 demographic in western countries. That is why men are having a problem and most men date down in looks. If you go to non western countries with better gender ratios in mens favor then you are more likely to see looks matched couples. In the west the only men that can get a looks match are the ones that marry their cousins or get lucky with an arranged marriage or the ones who have very good c suite level jobs making 250k plus a year.

I'm always surprised when I see the boyfriends of progressive outspoken ethnic women, the majority of the time they end up being white jock type men, where I would think those would be the type of women that would be more willing to give more non traditional ethnic feminine men a chance.

yeah I used to think foreplay was very important when I used to be sexless and would read posts on the internet. Once I actually started being sexually active I realized foreplay isn't that important at all. And again I'm not saying I don't believe what people post on the internet but based on my real life experience it seems like most of what you read on the internet is posted by outliers.

All of my incel friends growing up had loving families and large social circles and many hobbies, They were just ugly and had no girlfriends. The vast majority of them are ethnic and religious and just ended up getting arranged marriages in their late 20s and early 30s.

/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 09:25 PM

This is basically what I did, I fixed my face by seeing an orthodontist and a maxillofacial surgeon, and now I have no problems with women. Improving your looks, through surgery or losing weight, making more money, or finding a way to gain status are the only things that will help you.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 09:23 PM

This isn't true at all. Getting a girlfriend has been one of the best things to happen to me in terms of quality of life and mental well being. But if you are still ignorant then your advice is good, similar to religious people who think if they suffer in this material reality they will be rewarded in heaven. Which is fine, but only if you are ignorant.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 09:20 PM

When men treat women badly the women still has sex, when women treat men badly there is no sex. One problem is a lot worse than the other. It's just a good looking guy, it can be anyone from either extremes of femininity and masculinity. Justin Bieber is a chad on the feminine side and Brock Lesner is a chad on the masculine side. Also the type of women that post on reddit aren't the type of women the top 20% of men go after so it makes sense that a lot of women that post on reddit pretend to not like Chads.

Yeah before I recommend surgery the first thing I always advise guys to do is to lower their bf% and often times this is all they need to do to improve their looks. Redditors want to desperately believe social skills matter because they think it's something they can work on and get better at, rather than admit that genetics matter. No amount of arguing and debating changes material reality, think of how many people are religious on Earth, most people need to be delusional to get through life.

Women have it easier in life. Sure all people have problem but some problems are worse than others. Imagine a billionaire complaining that one of his 12 maids is unable to make it to work today, and a homeless man who struggled to get food for his daughter and then trivializing the problem the homeless man is having by saying everyone has problems the billionaires and homeless people are the same because they both have problems.

Most "nice guys" in real life are genuinely nice guys, and not secretly evil Machiavellian misogynistic red pillers like reddit makes them out to be. It's just that through their feedback loops for being ugly they have no choice but to be nice. the good looking guys through positive feedback loops who have women throwing themselves at them have no need to be nice.

That is one way to know for sure she likes you. Women who are just using you as a second choice, or as a provider will never spend money on you. Women will only spend money, book a flight at her own expense to fly out to you, buy you expensive gifts, allow you to be a stay at home father, etc if there is genuine attraction. If you are young and she says this it's not a problem as women are only with men they find attractive when they are young. But if she says this when she hits her 30s then it just means she couldn't get these guys to commit and she is using you as a second choice, so this would be a red flag. However this red flag doesn't matter as the guys she ends up with will likely have no other choice and will just have to accept her.

I remember before the trans topic became so widespread that people would be called sexist pieces of shit for saying that men and women's brains worked differently, but now in the trans conversation people are using it as proof that people truly are the gender they identify with. I think it's a classic case of people only believing things when it fits their bias, and rejecting or downplaying things that don't fit their bias.

Yeah this is one of the things that give away that someone doesn't know what they community is actually like. Anyone who truly has spent time in the communities and all the adjacent ones would know the vast majority of men blame themselves, but this contradicts what people want to believe.

From what I have seen this is absolutely true. All the couples I know the man is the better looking one, only exception is one friend that comes from a high status family(His dad is a respected imam in the community) who was able to marry a looks match, and another friend who makes 250K + as a c suite executive who was also able to marry a looks match. Women because they benefit from this will try to portray these couples as being looks matched or try to gaslight people into thinking the women a…

Incel just means involuntarily celibate, the vast majority of people on reddit who attack incels are incels themselves. However the term has become mainstream and is just a generic insult for ugly people or misogynists now rather than the actual meaning. There are things you can do to stop being incel, however whenever I have posted my experience of what I did it always gets removed here so pm me if you want to know what I did.

This all depends on the gender ratio. As far as I know there are more men than women in the 18 to 35 demographic. But maybe the ratio is just as bad for people over 35.

I agree to an extent. IRL women still date up, its extremely rare to see a man date up, and uncommon to get a looks match in western countries where the gender ratio favors women in the 18-35 demographic. But their standards are slightly higher on tinder. So for example IRL a 5 women might be with a 7 man. But on Tinder she might exclusively go for 8 and above.

Men are used to rejection and don't usually lash out, the examples you see are the outliers or good looking men who are rarely rejected. However women rarely get rejected and don't usually know how to handle it.

With money you can get direct or indirect whores, with status like being a famous musician or streamer, the women you are with will eventually leave once the novelty of being with someone with status fades off and you are just another ugly man to them. To get genuine attraction you need to use looks. But the problem is not everyone is good looking enough to attract women so they need to use a mix of money, status, looks, gender ratios, etc to get women.

Blue pill and Red Pill is the same, one is just PG and politically correct and the other is R rated and vulgar, This red pill advice is the equivalent of blue pill incels who say things like "I'm focusing on my career/studies/hobbies" when asked why they don't have a girlfriend. It's basically a way to protect their ego, so that they can justify to themselves the reason they aren't getting women is because they don't want to even be with women right now.

I know autistic people in relationships. There have been posts on reddit of doctors and lawyers and other professionals who struggle with women. Social skills are severely overrated on reddit. Another thing that is a problem is that if you as a progressive/leftist disagree with any little thing you will be ostracized and called a fascist. When the left pushes men away like this obviously they would be more likely to congregate with people who accept them. I can tell you that there are definitely some jaded men in their 30s but the vast majority of them are just happy to finally have a girlfriend/wife, they take whatever they can get, often times they will marry the first woman that shows interest in them, they don't use the one time in their life when they have options to date around.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/24 06:48 PM

yeah, reality is extremely different than how redditors portray it. Everyone knows that the good looking hyper masculine robust dimorphic men who don't respect women get laid the most. They settle. A lot of men would be shocked to find out that their partners don't find them attractive. However women aren't conscious of what they are doing or of the dynamics going on so maybe they truly believe that their preferences have changed as a means to protect their ego when they find that they can't get commitment from the guys they are attracted to. Similar to ugly guys who say they are focusing on studies or work when they are asked why they don't have a girlfriend.

This is another one of those things that you hear all the time on reddit but is not common in real life.

I know a lot of incel musicians, maybe this stereotype was true in the past but not anymore.

If you spent any amount of time in those spaces you would realize the vast majority of them don't blame women, they blame themselves. It's a very commons strawman used by people who have no knowledge of the communities

I haven't experienced this when men are around, but I have noticed women flirt with me right in front of my girlfriend before

I'm a man and I'm able to just passively exist and get relationships. Something a lot of redditors will never truly understand is that women do in fact approach all them time.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 10:53 PM

Despite the common sentiment, women are the ones with real power. If sex robots were to exist they lose that power and privilege. The guys who would be using the robots aren't the guys women want to be with anyways so in theory it should be win win. The fact that some women get so triggered over it is extremely revealing,.

Very little, like only the top 20-30%. Growing up only the good looking guys had active sex lives and constant girlfriends. All my average looking ethnic friends and below average white friends never had any success with women. I have one average looking white friend and he had two girlfriends in his 20s and there were extremely long gaps in between and casual sex for him was very rare, maybe one to two partners per year. All my above average ethnic friends had no problems with dating, even all …

In western countries, there are more men than women in the 18-35 demographic. It's very easy for woman to date, have sex, and relationships, while it is significantly more difficult for the average man. Men basically take whatever they can get, beggars can't be choosers. This is why you see so many men simp for any type of women. Even if all men stopped being simps it wouldn't change anything, it's the symptom not the cause.

it's common blue pill advice that has no basis in material reality.

Yes, you can spend a billion years in a groundhog day loop and will never be able to talk/game your way into attraction. It's looks, money, or status. Any advice you receive that doesn't improve one of those things will not help you with women.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/24 06:03 PM

Reddit is either filled with liars or such extreme 1% of the 1% of outliers that you should take whatever you read here with a grain of salt. For example on reddit you will constantly see people talking about how showing emotions as a man is a good thing but in reality crying in front of your partner as a man is a very big no no. If the redditors are not lying and are being genuine, the chance a guy will run into a women who has no problem with men crying in real life is so astronomically small.…

Yeah it's just a more vulgar "red pill" way to describe moving.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/24 05:43 PM

That's a strawman, I don't think anyone thinks that being good looking means your partner won't cheat on you. There are things like money and status that also matter. Also you can't use celebrity, high status or wealthy examples to determine how things work for normal people.

I used to see escorts for over a decade, and not a single women I've been with has shown any issue with it.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/24 11:07 PM

Based on my experience women have gone batshit crazy when I have rejected them, suddenly all progressive virtue signaling goes away and you will be accused of being gay. I think it's because women are not used to being rejected in general and don't know how to handle it.

A lot of them do though. But on reddit it's usually the opposite.

I find the "red" pill people to actually be extreme idealists and "blue" pill in reality. The vast majority of stuff in the community is a bunch of nonsense. Men just gravitate towards it because they get nothing but misandry from other communities, it truly is idealist in the way religion is idealist. The "Black" pill community is actually a lot better as it's a materialist view on sex and dating rather than viewing things through an idealist lens. However there is a lot of overlap in communiti…

This is the best place. There are some "blackpill" forums I visit but they are filled with like 80% nonsense, 19% undercover PUA astrotrufers and 1% good discussion/content.

This is the first time I heard about this stat for indigenous men. Usually you only hear about missing women and it made me assume the number was larger for women which is why they would always talk about it.

If you go to forums and places where lonely men congregate 99% of the posts will be about men blaming themselves. Occasionally there will be a post where someone blames women and it will get screenshotted and shared with reddit to make redditors think all the men are like that. There can also be times where men bring up some factual statistics like women having an easier time dating because there are more men than women in the 18-35 demographic in a certain area, and people will interpret this a…

Short Morning routine - This is laughable - Physical attractiveness matters for men far more than it does for women, and men can take a long time to get ready as well, not all men have short hair, some of them have long hair that requires more maintenance after taking a shower, some men shave, some men do a quick workout when they wake up. Some men wear makeup as well . Also women don't have to take a long time to get ready, they don't need to apply a lot of makeup, they can shower the night bef…

Generally there are very few subreddits that allow criticism or debate/discussion. The vast majority of subreddits are just safe space echo chambers people go to to vent or shitpost with people with similar views.

To be honest never in my life have I ever experience any gender expectations other than when I'm around my religious friends and their families. I don't conform to any masculine expectations and it's not something I worry about or even think about. However online there is so much discourse and discussion about it.

If we live in a patriarchy where men have all the power why would men be killing themselves more than women who are being oppressed?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates03/11/23 01:03 PM

I'm a Marxist and I'm a part of many left wing communities on the internet, and unfortunately in any community I've been a part of if any member tries to question that we live in a patriarchy or says anything that contradicts the feminist narrative you will be banned an ostracized. There is absolutely no room for good faith discussion from what I have seen. So I usually avoid the topic or stay quiet when it comes up for fear of being ostracized. The way they see it is that we live in a patriarch…

I believe the average man has a harder life and more challenges than the average woman. Women have so many opportunities and options in life and receive a significant amount of support from society. Then everyone believes men have it easier which just amplifies how hard they have it. Just some examples. Women have the choice to stay at home and find a provider or they can choose to work and be independent. Men rarely have that choice. Socially Women might have trouble dating people they like, wh…

I don't agree with this. Some problems and challenges are clearly worse than others. You can point to a rich hedge fund manager that has to deal with his exotic tiger pooping on his furniture on his private yacht and then point to a man that doesn't have enough money to feed his family and then conclude rich people and poor people both have problems therefore they are equal.

I don't understand this, I have a lot of female family members who would travel to Italy and be disappointed that they weren't catcalled. I told them it's because there were men with you, but if it's harassments why would you be disappointed if it didn't happen to you. On the other side I think most men would be very happy if women catcalled them, I know it would raise my self esteem and make me very happy if I were treated the way these women are harassed. Growing up we are always told to treat…
