Update: THIS IS EXHAUSTING, Physically, Emotionally, Mentally. First lawyer consult $425, $7500 retainer. Second Lawyer 385 Consult, $5000 Retainer. EX isnt hiring a lawyer. But i have to hire one to fight for my kids who all 3 are choosing to stay with me! 16 May 25 is now the court appointment to establish the divorce trial/ court day? WHY??!! Just make that the actual divorce day and be done with it already !!!! I JUST WANT TO MOVE ON WITH MY LIFE AND GET BACK TO MY LIFE BEING STABLE AND NOT …

UPDATE: talked with my lawyer today. He is prepared to go after full custody and defend the original divorce agreement. I sent her one last "Good Faith" negotiations offer before I give the go ahead to the lawyer. I'm hoping common sense will prevail, but I know she will probably dismiss it and make this more difficult for the kids and financially draining for everyone else involved. Here is hoping common sense wins.

Yeah the custody being 50-50 and maintaining the divorce agreement are the biggest things.

Ohhh I definitely will. Actions have consequences. 😉 She could have just taken our already established agreement and closed this out on Friday. But being measy is what she chose.

Thanks man, I needed that And yes, she has a family member visiting this week and that person is 1000% in her ear. The funny part is he was supposed to come out and help her with her mental health. 😂 Yup, just gonna get through Easter weekend and let the lawyer know the drama on Monday. Also, the signature on the paperwork DO NOT look like hers.

Well she caught me off guard. The lawyer won't be so gullible.

No! It was in our divorce agreement that we would. But she skipped that step amd went straight to court.

It's just exhausting. They make this more complicated than it needs to be. Pure emotion. Zero logic.

I know, I sent off multiple consult requests lastnight. I'm hoping a contract that was signed and notarized in good faith is honored and the courts see her BS for what it is. It's just so frustrating to being so close to this drama being done and over with for her to upend everything.

She knows, but the mental illness makes her not care. I have multiple police reports. Multiple county co Responder events with her. Her VA benefiets is for PTSD. Ect. I was trying to be nice and keep things uncontested. But she wants to play stupid games.

It's WA state, so IDK.

It's passed the point of common sense at this point. My lawyer can do his job and hopefully enforce the good faith agreements that were already made. The only wasting everyone's time is her.

OMG im LITERALLY going through this exact thing almost verbatim! She callled me " Evil" and selfish" for abandoning her. Even though her behavior and refusal to change is the EXACT reason why im leaving and why 2/3 my boys choose to stay with me! She keeps saying to me " We can make this work if we BOTH want it and you make changes". And her changes is essentially me caving to her bad behavior. She blows up my phone with non stop text messages and calls if i dont immediately reply. Like upwards …

When she first got diagnosed i reflected on all our arguments over 13 years and they all started to make sense. It was like a light got turned on to why everything happened the way it did. Stability is all ir eally wanted. I just wanted peace. Just peace. It didnt seem like so much to ask for.

Im not upset he wants his mom. He is 6 years old so he doesnt know any better. Besides we have 50-50 custody when she isnt trying to give me full custody. I am looking forward to the freeing part.

Thank you for such a detailed reply! I heard from a buddy of mine who went through a divorce in WA that if she doesnt have a job that alimony will be awarded regardless of whats in the divorce agreement. So ill find out about that next week. BPD = Borderline personality disorder ( Diagnosed, not speculation) I agree witht he time and space to heal. She keeps accusing me of going out and finding other woman. And that very thought is just not on my mind. I just want peace and stability. Not consta…

Its rough this weekend! She keeps trying to get me to cancel the divorce next week. And she keeps putting on "the mask" like her bad behavior wont just come right back the moment i reconcile. And everything turns into what i did to her feelings. But i cant bring up the years of stuff she did to me. Thats "The Past". its draining. It gets better afterwards?

She was clinically diagnosed. Did you have some hesitations leading up to the actual divorce day?

Drivers for the divorce were constant arguments spread out over years. She "lost feels" i tries to save it for years. When I finally started walking away, her feelings came back. Initiated it!

Some expenses are worth it. In this case being apart of your children's childhood is worth it.
