If there's an in-universe explanation for super powers (like Buffy's mystical Slayer strength or something), or like when Black Widow took on 8 guys while Happy subdued 1 (because of her extensive training + gadgets), then I don't mind. Essentially either passing some kind of test, writing a paper, or performance review that demonstrates the kid knows the subject matter without any of the "fluff" that oft times accompanies it in schools. Mastery-based advancement is essentially not letting the kid "pass" without being able to show a certain level of competence (without teacher help) and not letting factors like showing up on time, turning in assignments on time, or glowing personality factor into the final grade.

That's the point. Usually with male-on-female rape accusations, the Rape Shield laws take effect and prevent the media from releasing the victim's name, but they have full rights to drag the accused's name through the mud. Here we have the opposite thing - putting the victim's name out there and protecting (or at least not making an effort to identify) the rapist. I propose a simpler explanation: some people are jerks. This includes both men and women. But when you do the experiment just once, you're gonna get one group doing it more than the other depending on location, day of the week, and time of day. I would bet good money that if this were to be repeated thousands of times in many locations that the figures would be pretty evenly 50/50 or within experimental error of that.

Where I used to work while I was in college, there was a very clear division of labor between the men and women. There were only 2 women, and they were both the accountants/secretaries. Everyone else was some kind of salesman, repairman, or manual laborer. My bosses were very keen on making sure "the girls" never had to lift anything or empty the garbage cans, and that they always had heat/AC while us poor shlubs in the back were suffering in the elements.
