Yeah I see the advantage of attractive female friends - I think I'll just end up wanting her instead of her friends though, and getting jealous. It'd be nice if I wasn't like that, but it's in me.

What if I get extreme anxiety and like... almost cry? Haha I know that's ridiculous but it gets to a point where I think my anxiety scares girls. I've been doing this stuff for years off and on, but lately I've been having a really hard time with anxiety, since I've been on a dry-spell.

That kid texting during the Philly video, during a seminar about being the opposite of that kind of person. Makes me pissed. I wonder how pissed Mark was.

People on this subreddit never learn anything. People keep saying the same stuff over and people keep saying "oh wow good new point". And this is good advice. But if you haven't read Models by now, come on. Why do posters as a whole not advance?

Chat up that girl on the subway and get rejected. Fail publicly, get laughed at. You’ve got nothing to lose and no reason to ever feel crappy about it. That doesn't change that you will feel involuntarily really crappy about it. He might as well have said "stop giving a fuck".

Why is this downvoted so much? A lot of pro-RSD stuff on here is upvoted and against is downvoted. But this is pro-RSD in a way that could be bad for the company since it's ripping their audio, and downvoted.. Seems fishy.

I find it hard to draw conclusions like that from people, are you doing this off of their clothes or what?
/r/seduction29/01/14 09:58 AM

For the "How to hold conversation like a man" video, a lot of youtube questions actually raise good points. He's good looking and really extroverted, which could help him pull this off. But for someone not so high energy, I'm not so sure. How did you work this into your personality, what did you take from it? I like the part about pauses.

I'm trying to stay genuine recently, like Mark Manson style advice. How do you suggest getting her to DLV though?
/r/seduction29/01/14 06:58 AM
2

Well it's to approach girls. I'm taking more of a Mark Manson Models perspective rather than pick-up. I try to build a connection with them, or at least talk for a bit. I don't think I can just go up to a girl and say barely anything and get a date with them. You can get a number sure, but it'll probably be a fake number or they won't respond, unless you've built a connection.
/r/seduction29/01/14 03:30 AM
1

I've seen this video before. I'm aware that I can tell stories about subjects, ask questions about them, and comment on them right now. Even in conversation, like I said I can thread. I might try the exercise he recommends. Once you're in conversation though, it seems like it's just not always possible without saying something stupid. It's hard to make interesting conversation.
/r/seduction29/01/14 03:27 AM

Will you give an example, or a few, of framing questions as statements?
/r/seduction29/01/14 01:39 AM

Yeah I cringed after. When it happened, I was like wow I definitely know this doesn't work now. But I was kind of happy, because shit like this needs to happen for me to get better. Edit: I was doing what the top comment says right now, it was came to my mind, and I said it unfiltered because not saying stuff is a bigger problem than saying the wrong stuff, as most folks say. Still thank you for the feedback, it's good to hear that.
/r/seduction29/01/14 01:38 AM

You could try going out with a goal other than the girls as well, and if you meet that one, it won't feel as bad if you don't have anything happen with the girls. I've tried to do that and ended up using the other goal as an excuse to not talk to girls though. It is, like other people said, normal to fail a shit ton. You could read some more stuff. Oh, identify your sticking points. That should be a goal for you. Do you know where in the process you have the most trouble with right now?

From the article: Even if she’s not interested at the beginning it’s no problem; as long as you keep talking you always have an opportunity to build attraction. If she isn’t interested in you, move on fast

I want to cold approach girls at a mall nearby since that's the only place that logistically works for me doing cold approach. How should I open them? Advice for this in general? How should I open differently depending on a group and its size? And please don't just say "say whatever's on your mind, just be confident".
/r/seduction16/01/14 07:59 AM

Build it up first. You're not asking for the nudes before you get a picture of her in clothes, or better, in a bra. Unless you guys have a prior sexual history. Example: Mention a shirt you particularly like on her, say she should send you a picture of her in that shirt. You need to have at least some sort of flirtation / sexual tension or something first though.
/r/seduction16/01/14 07:56 AM

When you follow the link they talk about in the video, it leads you to a page that gives you a pop-up when you try to leave, trying to get you to stay. That's sort of a proof that this is marketed with techniques to get you to watch it, rather than quality information.
/r/seduction16/01/14 07:22 AM

Well, good for you dude. I hope you do better in not taking shit form people. Like someone said in your previous thread though, sometimes it's the little shit that disrespects you, and what do you do there? Make a big deal out of it or ignore it? Perhaps we can make a medium deal out of it, but it can be difficult to do. Any ideas on how to deal with minor disrespect and not letting it build up?

However, when a friend makes a snide remark/swipe about you b/c you said something that was obvious or just like slightly off discussion, I always let it roll off me but I'm not sure if that's the right way to react. I don't want to go like "HEY WTF MAN DONT SAY THAT YOURE SUCH AN ASSHOLE WE'RE THROUGH" vs "...Lol whatever" One was guns blazing and the other is like conceding you deserve to get put down. How do you respond to that? I completely relate to this. If you find the answer, let me know…

First off, thanks for replying to me about this. I've had social problems for a while in my life, which I won't go on about. I find that after coding, when I go to socialize my brain thinks in a non-social manner. More-so than when I'm not coding. I think in if-then statements, constantly about logic of decisions, analyzing why people are acting certain ways and seeing the group structure. This could be a good thing, but I get drawn into my head to the extreme. It's not a worry, I understand tha…

What material, if any, did you use to improve your seduction? Any recommendations on books and whatnot? Maybe you even think books and videos, and Pick-up in general are bullshit. I'd like to hear.

If she insisted more than once I think I'd be being a bitch by saying yes just because of that. I'd either pay for both outright, or we'd split it. If it gets to that point it's lose lose: Either I keep making a big deal out of it or the date begins with her making me get her coffee.
/r/seduction29/12/13 06:48 AM

Yeah keep me posted if there are any more developments, I'd be interested to hear.

I still don't understand. In this scenario, what should I do? I meet up with a girl at a coffee shop, and it's my idea. I don't want to pay for her out of principal, I think we should split it. Do I go up to the counter and leave her to order hers without saying anything, do I discuss it beforehand, or what? I'll pay for it if she really wants me to, but how do I know it'll lower her opinion of me?
/r/seduction29/12/13 04:56 AM

I think the part where you said "too fast" might've done it off, seeing as she passed out right after. Though I can't explain why. I'm pretty sure the bottom line for her was sex vs reputation at the office though.

I want to, but the people with aspirations are in college or moved far away form this place. From time to time I get lonely and slip into hanging out with the people who just smoke weed and do drugs. And if I stay all alone I start to go crazy and depressed. Which happens just as well eventually when I hang out with those folks. It's a Catch-22.

I get why you're worried about it, I've been in the same situation. If it's a real relationship you should be able to talk about insecurities. And if she doesn't like you after, she wasn't someone you should be with. That's how I see it anyway. You should probably get someone's advice besides mine. This isn't the same as seduction though.
/r/seduction26/12/13 06:58 AM

Thanks, it's good to hear you can make half as much money and be happier because of what you're doing. Just need to put up with living with in a shitty environment and not be brought down by friends with no aspirations, while I figure stuff out it seems.

It's the question of passion vs job security and money for me. I'm passionate about social issues, music, parties, guys improving themselves, and stuff like that. Don't know if it's sensible going to college for degrees related to those fields. And that builds up the insecurity of everyone saying to go to college and me questioning myself, not knowing what to do. Thanks for the advice, and good for you. If you have anything else to say I'm glad to listen to it.
/r/seduction26/12/13 06:34 AM

/r/relationships I don't recommend relationship advice from here. I've been in your place before though, and I'd say fuck the "rules", it's just you and her. If you two should be together you should be able to show her your true self at this point, and mention the insecurity about revealing insecurities.
/r/seduction26/12/13 06:25 AM

It sounds like I'm in a situation similar to how you were with your mom (not OP here). I want to move away but I'm college-aged, and I just stopped going to college because I'm having doubts about what I want to spend the rest of my life doing, what degree to get, etc. How did you afford to move away, about how old were you?

"FR of the week" or "Game of the week" or "challenge of the week". I second this idea. Especially a game/challenge of the week. We could label or field reports to specify they're about that challenge.

Let your stubble stay around for a while. If you know how to, or find out how to (if you do, tell me) shave so that you have a little stubble left. Responses: "A year or two older than you". You might be able to modify that somehow, but a lot of girls like guys a little older than them. If you field test it get back to me.

I get the feeling it was an excuse too. And you're guess on the smile is probably better than mine, those things are hard to figure out even when you're actually there. I've seen an expert PUA straight-up say he didn't know the reason for something before though. Some people say not to think about it but I always can't help but wonder, and I think the same goes for most people.

/r/seduction24/12/13 06:54 AM

College game actually is different than most. If you fuck up and look weird consistently, you're going to get a reputation. Reputation is the main difference in college game, and it's more important than any cold approach tactics here. I don't feel like explaining college game, I didn't get good at it so I'm not qualified, but look around.

Maybe not more friends. Better friends yes. So you can't take genuine interest in everyone then, if you make boundaries (sympathy for the devil). Also, how do you set boundaries? That's something I've been working on lately, and it seems I'm losing friends and I'm worried if I'm the jerk or they are. I ninja'd that into my last reply.
/r/seduction23/12/13 02:55 AM

If they give you information in a condescending manner (and it is important to not take all information this way), then it's not as simple as getting data to process. It's a social move.

grabs with bat from you To me that's not cool but hey if that's what floats your boat. I haven't seen the skit, if you give me a link I'd be glad to watch it, love Chapelle. Edit: Found the skit for anyone interested. I like the meaning there, but I'm not saying to act out against the guy. If he was being rude about it, NMMNG supports a different paradigm than HTWFAIF
/r/seduction23/12/13 02:15 AM

Can't remember any, even though I tried. Example though Them: you're not very good at this You: exactly If they keep saying stuff they'll look tryhard, you just need to be aware of when people in the group will passively recognize someone as losing or dominating a verbal exchange. In the times I've used it they've never came back with anything.

opwillsurelydeliver.jpg One thing I started doing recently, is saying "exactly" when a guy says something mildly rude or annoying. It's from Neil Strauss, his material is still some of the best stuff out there. I watched him do it in his "Annihilation Technique" videos a couple times and that made it stick. Don't say it angrily, just go "exactly" in a semi-firm tone and move on.
/r/seduction23/12/13 01:57 AM

How does he deal with guys?
/r/seduction23/12/13 01:28 AM

Example scenario: Guy playing baseball, you both like baseball. Guy says he's better than you, and you're swinging the bat wrong- he takes the bat and says he's going to show you how to do it right. NMMNG: This is bullshit you shouldn't put up with, act accordingly. HTWFAIP: This guy is teaching you something valuable, interesting, and relevant to your interests, act accordingly.
/r/seduction23/12/13 01:24 AM

That seems like no advice at all though, if you're genuinely interested in something, you just are, not by choice. If you choose it then it's faking it.

It is never too late to get what you want. That still is no excuse to live every day to the fullest, building and preparing yourself for a successful future. Did you make a mistake in that last sentence, or are you saying not to build and prepare yourself for the future over living in the moment?

Those women were in a group, so they have the incentive to lie to not look inferior. Really, really good point. It's really difficult to get dependable information for this sort of thing. If someone interviews them one at a time, they might feel uncomfortable still. Surveys they might even lie to themselves, girls who don't get hit on might say it's more than it is so they feel better, girls who sleep with a lot of guys might lie about it, etc. It's ridiculous.
/r/seduction16/08/13 05:53 AM

These women are women from NYC, as /u/GoatTG pointed out: I'm more interested in hearing what women from smaller cities/towns have to say. Women in bigger cities tend to be jaded and callous. I feel the same way though, 50 guys a week to compete with, I don't want to devote my whole damn life to get her. Seems like I need to go the attractive lifestyle route for myself, if only I knew for sure what would make me happy.

what about when you try out college as a new thing and then stop? it's interesting how we can see something as trying something new at first and then if you don't like it, a lot of people perceive it as quitting. trying new things involves quitting.

From what I've seen, a lot of girls 'playing hard to get' are actually shy deep down, and they've become more comfortable in just being that way, with the bizarre but common notion that this is a legitimate effective technique. It can be to some kinds of guys.. maybe.. I've never met them. But it's easy to go overboard. Some girls justify shyness as a form of seduction just because it has a name, 'playing hard to get'. And of course, there are some who just get off watching guys try to get them.…

I've noticed this too. Personally my theory is that they're in a good mood that inspires them. It feels good to think about the little details when you know they helped.

Maybe something like small shrug "I thought she was cute so I danced with her". And if you are interested, something better might be "She seems like a nice girl".

Hey Eric thanks for the AMA! I like your techniques for warming up to the concept of being around women. I've done this kind of thing myself to get used to being near girls. You've mentioned the importance of making things sexual early, and I believe this is my biggest sticking point when I manage to get the conversation/interaction going. I've heard laughing at sexual innuendos is good, and straightup saying that she's cute if the environment is right. Can you give me and the community tips and…

It happens at multiple campuses. Although it wouldn't happen at a bar like you said, because he is just starting college. If you constantly cold approach girls in a single community, people will notice, and you will get a reputation as that "creepy pickup guy". Cold approaching is doable to a degree, as long as you don't get into a constant habit of it, a lot depends on campus size as well. Just trying to give him a heads up so he doesn't screw himself over for four years.

The way I see it: Shit tier - Unconfident assholes Lower tier - Unconfident nice guys Upper tier - Confident assholes God tier - Confident nice guys *Plenty of mistaking assholeness for confidence, in a function that lowers with age.

That confrontation is a lose-lose situation. Either she was giving you a bad number, or she will be scared off. A lot of sedditors have reported reduced flake rates by giving them their phone with the new contact screen up to put the number in themselves, it establishes trust and subconsciously they're committing themselves more. It sucks but flaking is part of the game.

Don't over-approach people. There is always that guy who gets known as that weird dude who approaches and hits on girls. At least, don't do anything like cold approaching, and no approaching like you learned in the game. And jesus christ, there was a dude at my school who always said "hey Venage!", and used my name constantly at any possible opportunity in conversation, it was obvious he had recently found out the power of using peoples' names when talking to them, and sadly fucked it up. Just b…

This is only the second post I've ever seen here that stresses vulnerability itself as a positive aspect. I think it's a big part of what separates the guys who try more for less and the ones who try less for more. Good post.

I was saying you are. You're doing completely fine, your post includes details you already are keeping attraction up. She probably doesn't want to do anything sexual over text/computer etc. because you haven't even held hands yet. You can call her and make the second date like you said, that's a good idea. Just hold hands and escalate, you know she's into you.

Don't get too hung up on her. It sounds like you're developing some oneitis, don't let it get to you. Your current mindset sounds good from the last paragraph of your post. I think you might've already responded by now, but you don't have to say "that sounds good". "Live to fight another day" is a battleminded way of putting it, stop thinking about all of this so hard, you know that you shouldn't be. You're worried about flakiness I think, and it looks like you're going for an independent soundi…

I'm 19 too, it's obnoxious isn't it? Stay strong with that resolution to be real, confident, and sexual. Any time you find yourself out of that state, remember the real part. A good guy being real does justice to the rest of the world and himself.

Aw I was disappointed that it wasn't reaally a k-close. Good field report, you included usage of applied Seddit material. I hope you remember this experience under your belt the next time you're in state, it should give you even more confidence.

I've come across this same conundrum. Part of it depends on how much time you guys have spent together. If you're worried about it, which you actually shouldn't be because that's part of the "beta" mindset you mentioned at the end there, you could say something like "hey it's (name), right?" with a smile. It could really only be a bad thing if you saw her like once, but even that's unlikely, and would be a bitch flag. Everyone's favorite word is their name, it's hard to turn the happiness of hea…

I'm late here but I hope you see this OP. For the most part, you aren't. Every girl wants to be approached. Even if you do it badly, as long as you aren't some sort of freak (and I can tell by the fact you asked about this, you aren't), they're going to be happy that they were pretty enough for someone to approach them. They love attention, it makes them feel good about themselves. Don't use that philosophy anywhere else though, they love it, but they aren't attracted to it aside from when it's …

Number 7 - Make sure it's a book you really want to read, don't find yourself drooling through it. If that does happen, put the damn thing down, there's no reason to force yourself to read it. I'd recommend Fight Club even if you've seen the movie, it'll improve your inner game if you're into it. And I don't think anyone on reddit doesn't like Fight Club.

It is really easy the first few months I'd imagine. After that though, it becomes harder because of what you said about everyone doing it the first few months and then sticking to people they know. I came in second semester as a transfer student from community college, shit was rough. I plan on being social as hell while everyone's looking for friends this fall.

If you see a guy trying to dance with 1 girl out of a small group, you'll find that the other girls in the group won't want to be left out. This sounds like sage advice. The part about absolutely needing a wingman or two is definitely true as well. I went with a group of people I barely knew because I had just transferred and I was totally alone dancing by myself.
/r/seduction21/07/12 05:54 AM

I like this view. I've been trying to get better at dancing because I really do make a fool out of myself a lot of the time after I get bored of two stepping, and it's not even that I'm afraid of doing that, I just need to learn more. Do you have any tips or useful moves for dancing?
/r/seduction21/07/12 05:27 AM

Same thing happened for my worst experience. It was my first time asking a girl to dance too. I felt pissed that I let the fear of something like that get in my way, yet sadly I haven't done it since, mostly because I haven't been to a dance environment since then. I need to.

Wow, basically the same thing happened to me last year. It's a good lesson, glad you put it into words like that because I hadn't thought of it like that in a while. Lessons learned through experience are infinitely more powerful than reading them.

You're right, you're not the only one who's noticed, and I haven't seen it brought up before. I've noticed his snide attitude in a lot of his material, like acting over the top macho, and the laugh.. oh god the laugh. The amount of downvotes you're getting for pointing it out is alarming actually. I believe Neil Strauss described him accurately in The Game.
/r/seduction15/07/12 08:13 AM

This is very solid advice. In my party/club experience, dancing has always brought the attention of girls while other guys sit on the side with the irrational idea that doing so will make them look chill or something. Now, there are a few people who are just genuinely 100% comfortable doing this that can make it work out, but I've only met one. Even dancing like an idiot will often give you higher value if no one else is doing, it demonstrates your independence and ability to have fun regardless…

On the approach, one of the most fundamental rules taught in The Game (yes it's well-known but that certainly doesn't mean it's not a good book) is to never approach from behind, try to come in from the front at an angle. That's hard to do in the situation you were in but that can easily contribute to it. Also more importantly, as anonymousthrowaway96 said, you probably went for the # close too quickly. Put yourself in her shoes for a second, would you give your number out to an older guy who in…

I have a monotone voice as well, and I think it impacts game negatively for the most part. Also be aware if you have a blank facial expression because I have a problem with that too, the two can go hand in hand. Sing along to songs you like, practice your voice on your own if you can. My living space is pretty small so I can't really do it in private, hopefully you can.

So I'm sure we can all agree that was a shit test. On the HHS part, I think there's a good chance she didn't expect you to know what it meant, if it even means anything at all, and wanted to see how you'd react to it. You reacted by ignoring it either way, I don't know if asking would be good but I bet it would be better. The entire text was such a blatant shit test, maybe you could have said "Is that a test?" or "That's an awful lot of information"

There's a girl I hit it off well with the first time we talked and then backed away from and don't talk to any more when I found out she's apparently slutty, we make eye contact and don't talk, she's occasionally said something and I've acted like I didn't hear it because we didn't have eye contact. Do I need to talk to her to avoid a bad reputation with the ladies now? This was a shit test. That's an especially common one that I've encountered often, and actually the most recent one I can remember failing. Don't say "reaally?", I failed that way when she asked if I was kidding and I froze up. The two responses in the link work well in the outside world but I'm not sure how they would hold up in a college environment where you could look full of yourself.
