Does your husband need a friend to just sit silently and watch YouTube videos with? Let me know 🤞🏻

That is on topic…if your partner has a need - I’m not talking desire - then it’s the same thing.

So, emotional needs are not needs. Why should I sit and listen to you talk for hours then? Gaslighting is negating truth - truth is all people have some level of sexual needs (even if that level is none). If I tell you I need sex 2-3x a week and you tell me no I do not, that is gaslighting dear….Christ.

It’s a disingenuous argument to say that since you won’t die from a lack of something that it is not a need. How is this not clear to you? Also, you do not get to tell a man, or anyone, what their needs actually are. That’s called gaslighting, dear.

Pretty generalized statement. Many men respect sex workers. Talk to a sex worker. Most will tell you much of their time is spent talking with and listening to their clients.

What’s the big deal about talking about your emotional concerns with yourself? Is it really that terrible to journal instead or consult a therapist? It is your own obligation to give yourself the emotional fulfillment you want.

Likewise, why come to me with your emotional needs when you can just get a therapist? 👂

Sex is not always an emotionless act, even with sex workers (hooker is derogatory). So no, not win-win.

Your fallacious argument that because you won’t die from not having sex means it’s not a need is definition of not debating in good faith. That’s why I correctly repositioned your bad faith argument to show it makes no sense in other contexts either.

Who who rebut what you said? It makes sense. But how you phrased it made me laugh

Again, no one is saying a woman HAS to have sex when she doesn’t want to. I referenced the subsection of women who say/believe that “his sexual needs are not my obligation.” My response to them is then how can you demand he fulfill your needs.

Emotional support is not a need. You will not die without a man sitting there listening to you complain about the petty parts of your day.

I agree lol that’s why I posted asking for discussion. How can anyone deny the needs of their partner but demand their partner supplement their own needs? Just divorce.

Oh I hear you, I’m not excusing cheating - infidelity is despicable. I was talking about the shock - “you cheated [after I haven’t given sex in years….]” I am in no way condoning or excusing cheating, but I never understand the “can you believe he cheated on me” when you aren’t fulfilling his needs and you know that you aren’t doing so.

I didn’t presuppose women only need emotional fulfillment. Reading comprehension is hard huh? I spoke about a subsection of women who believe they aren’t responsible for their partners sexual needs but still expect said partner to be emotionally fulfilling.
