Not sure he was really even in the "friendzone". Thats fairly accurate. As a freshmen who didnt want anything to do with the frat scene it was much harder to get to the right places at the right times. More so senior students know their way around and are more at ease with their surroundings.

I was in firefighter 1 training in high school, over the weekends, until a car accident killed the girl I lost my virginity to, and severely wounded me. Unable to finish firefighter (which is an easy class) I signed up for EMS, and now that I've made a full recovery I still won't go back to firefighter. I actually have a friend with benefits who lives next door to her, she has stopped me in the hallway for things. Think of your hobbies. Go to places that make YOU happy with or without women. If you find a girl, then at least she has a good chance of already sharing some of your interests. I can agree with that. Like I mentioned, I am getting some semblance of popularity, circles of friends everywhere it feels like. All it took was enough self confidence to stop over thinking everything and making it awkward. Basically I became the guy I am when I am just drink just enough to stop thinking too much, but haven't had enough to lose the warm happy feeling. Only with better eye hand coordination.

I failed because I lost who I was coming in, and failed to make anything notable of myself. At home I'm an EMT, Sex addict (self labelled after a very bad accident, which I guess you can say I tried to run from). So I get to college, no one knows I'm an EMT <at least at first>, no one knows I am a sex addict and no one knows about the accident. Happy to hear about the GF. I realized when I left town for college I had a chance to completely change everything about myself, so I tried, and I failed. So I got to build myself back up... Now I'm looking for that bond. I think really we apply these tactics to getting sex, but in reality this is just a general guide for life.
