It's objectively not plenty long. If she had committed false imprisonment herself instead of by proxy it would have been 20+ years in the US and I assume it has a similar sentence in the UK.

I think false accusations should have the same punishment as the victim would have had. So a false robbery accusation should have the same punishment as robbery, a false rape accusation should have the same punishment as rape, etcetera.

The number of jobs where it truly matters if you're a woman or a man are vanishingly small. For the most part, we can all do the work without reference to our gender. Maybe at a desk job. For the working class it's inevitable that you'll have to do a woman's work for her.
