48 here. I grow a beard around/under my chin, and braid it into two ca. 15 cm long plaits (takes around 2 minutes to do). Cheeks and upper lip are shaven. I dye the plaits of my beard every two or so weeks. I use normal hair-dye for it with a toothbrush, it's a matter of a few minutes and well worth the effort. This beard style is not for everyone, though. Could go very well with a shaven head, I think. My scalp hair, however, is very full for a guy of any age (thanks, mom!), and I wear it metal…

I know. I give a shit in the here-and-now, though. At least sometimes.

48, never married, no kids. Filling my life with music making (band & solo), writing books and doing whatever floats my boat. Guys much younger than me with families sometimes envy me for my freedom. I can do things they are never allowed to do. Sometimes, however, I look back at guys with families with envy, too. Is this it, I ask myself, when I'm gone, who will remember me? I've been reading RP since it was new, and PU since before that. For a long, long time. I still suck at game, because I d…

Guys that have 2 or 3 kids at 27 are fucked, not you. You're the lucky one, you can still change things. At 1,73m you are not tall, but you are not short either. Plenty cute girls are around 1,60 and will perceive you as tall. Find hobbies, do your thing, go to the gym, dress sharp. You're still young, everything is possible. GO! :-)

There was another poster a few days ago saying he needed some sort of emotional connection to have sex. Not deeply, madly in love, but at least genuinely liking the girl. I'm just like that. No desire sleeping with random girls picked up at a club or something of that sort. So yes, there are others like you.

I think orbiter menas a guy a woman keeps close, but not too close, on her own terms, and he keeps circling, because he hopes he gets sex. Well, I'm pretty sure I'll get sex, but on her terms only, and that was one of the reasons I went no contact 10 months ago. I know, solution: Don't be dependent on a single woman for sex. I'm working on it.

47 here. Personally, I can't put up for long with women my own age. They usually remind me too much of my mother, wich I strongly dislike. With younger folks (women and men) it's like this -- the general basis of common knowledge is there, but there are occasional differences. They know something that I don't (too old), and I know something they don't (too young). It also helps to be part of a subculture (metal/goth in my case).

It has nothing at all to do with childbirth. Rather, men and women age in the same way: Both get more masculine as they become older. That's the whole secret.

Certainly not by beating around the bush. How about a clear and concise statement like e.g. "I don't hold any grudges, but I do not want to be friends with either of you anymore. Please respect that." After that, no further explanation will be necessary.

1) I am not a psychologist or neurologist, so I can't make definitive statements. Since you make definitive statements, I assume you are a psychologist or neurologist. I do know, however, that most psychological conditions stem from both genetic predisposition and circumstances of upbringing. I also know, that in homosexuals, certain areas in the brain can be shown to by physically different than from heterosexuals. This has first been published more than 20 years ago. 2) You retro-define what w…

People are born with other serious genetic aberrations that would prevent our species from procreating. Still our species procreates. Thus, your argument is a straw man argument. This does not, of course, make my answer correct. It only shows that your arguments are faulty and should be disregarded.

Start being a little "anti" just for the fun of it and watch people's reactions. Regard is an experiment. After a while, people will understand that this is who you are, and they will accept you, not despite of it, but because of it. Here's an example of what I mean: There's that older woman at my work (she's 60, but very fit for her age) who is responsible for equal treatment at the workplace, and she's also privately active in an organization to further gender-neutral language. A.k.a. "feminis…

I think I have kind of the same problem. I can put huge effort in things.... as long as I love them, e.g. making music. Luckily, my work also belongs to the things that I love doing. But I can't bring myself to do things consistently that I dislike, but that need to be done nevertheless. For instance, opening my (physical) mailbox frequently and not just once every two months. My whole life is a chaotic mess because of things like that. Here's the thing: I know I can change myself, but it takes …

I used to look much better and dress way sharper before I gained 20 kg weight at the onset of the depression. I am trying to get back there again by summer... and perhaps even better than before. The hair cut, on the other hand, is out of the question. I love my hair, and you can't imagine how much positive reaction from women inside the metal scene I received over the last 15 years or so.

Yes, it's true. When it all started, at around 30, it felt weird to have women around 10 years younger interested in me, but I'm totally good with that now. But now there's this fine 25yo girl who's sending me what I take for IOIs, and an age gap of 22 years is something I first have to stomach... I think I am acting awkward in that kind of situations.

Thank you. You are correct, I am overweight by about 15-20 kg, which I gained after the depression set in, and I wasn't able to lose it (permanently) since then. I have pictures from around 2010/2011, when I was still at 85 kg, and I look so much better when I'm lean. For reference, I am 188 cm tall, which is above average. I just bought an excercise machine (cardio), and started push-ups the other week. I couldn't even do a single one. I can do five now. I also love to go inline-skating, there'…

Thank you for your reply. I am very passionate about my music, just recorded a 2-hour album which was lots and lots of work, together with nearly 20 guest artists from around the world. And I'm passionate about my books; I write novels, 7 of which are published so far, there are even translations... into russian, and one into English, and an audiobook conversion. There are three things that I'm passionate about, and this is creating music, writing books, and computers. And still you are right sa…

Thank you. Raising SMV is one of my focus points right now. Scoring with women below my level of attractiveness is like shooting sitting ducks, it's easy, but I really don't want them (in my bed). The emotional control problem is so much harder, I think. It was much worse when I was younger, it has gotten considerably better in the last 15 or so years. But when it happens, it still feels crippling. This needs to stop. I'll google for mindful meditation, thanks for the hint.

It's not that my therapist does not believe me. I think it's just that she, as a person, is genuinely puzzled about it. She, as other women, only sees that tall, strong looking guy in that chair. She says that some other patients tend to make her impatient because of their whiny, submissive attitude. She says, of course she wants to help them, but it's sometimes hard. Not so with me. But I still show her my facade, I can't even help it. That would change if I were emotionally invested in her, bu…

Jesus, thanks a lot! There are more than just a few things in this that ring very true to me. I am pretty much attracted to tall and feminine women who are also intelligent, but if I had to chose between Ms. Landwhale Einstein, and Ms. Hardbody IQ70, I'd chose the latter without even thinking twice. I considered myself pretty forward about my intentions with women, at least post-2008, but thinking about what is written here, it seems I'm still not assertive enough, still awating general approval…

The good genes are thanks to my father. He also looks much younger than he actually is, and his wife is 17 years junior to him. Thanks, dad :-) Yep, I am aware of the clothing situation. I need to drop some weight before I go buy more fitting stuff. Both is high priority on my agenda... my hair, however, will stay, as long as it's full and healthy. Head banging without proper hair is not the same :-) Thank you for you long reply. This helps me a lot.

Well, since I dislike children, I should probably look for a deaf-mute girl for sex and sex only, and get into Wrestling for anything else ;-) But seriously, I like to talk with women, as long as they're intelligent, and I also like them being around. They have their own unique point of view, which I find refreshing. My problem is that, as soon as I become emotionally attached, I show women things inside of me that they shouldn't see...

I'll look up Athol Kay. I've always been so so about sports, but I'm planning on taking up a martial arts course soon. Also booked a paragliding course in july, need to get a bit more in shape until then. Already bought some training gear for that purpose. Btw, I have a fear of heights, if I can overcome that on a paraglider, I should be able to overcome other things, too...

If you were computer, your hardware is fine but your software is malfunctioning. Yeah, I feel like that often. Good analogy. But about the reading... I read everything there was to read, since about 2008. Including the side bar material here. You could probably send me in an oral exam and I would get a 100 out of 100 points. Knowledge alone doesn't change a thing for me; I need some sort of leverage to pry myself away from... whatever it is, I wish I knew. I hope lifting is not the answer, becau…

Yes, it does. Thanks. I think me seeking approval from women is spot on, even though I don't want to. It only happens when I start to care for someone. If I don't, I'm not concerned with anybodies approval. Best times in my life were always when not emotionally connected to someone. But as I'm getting older, I'm developing a longing for emotional connection that wasn't there so much 20 years ago.

When getting to know me, I think I radiate stoicism to them. I seem unshakable. This is okay, I like that. What they don't know, and what I don't want them to know, is that this is only a facade. The only facade that I can display, I know of no other. It takes quite a while until I get warm with somebody, months usually, and then they see that I'm not like that at all. I would like to become my facade.

I'm on a dating site for metalheads, and of course, everyone here is tatted up and pierced. Personally, I don't mind a small tattoo or a belly button piercing, but I strongly dislike anything larger. However, there's this 24 yo chick who would be pretty hot if it wasn't for the large alien face (akin to Yoda) tatted across her chest. If you're having sex with her, you're constantly staring in Yoda's eyes. Ugh! What was she thinking?! She also has a picture from before the tattoo, and I wrote a p…

bipolar disorder I knew this from reading your text long before I came to the place where you said it verbatim. Women with this disorder give you everything that YOU ever wanted, they can read you like an open book. This is their strategy for survival, imprinted on them from early on. They are unable to act differently, unless they go into a decade-long therapy. But as long as there is no good reason for them to start a therapy -- e.g because they are young and beautiful and get whatever they wa…

The scene is full of BPD characters or otherwise psychologically challenged people. "Be careful, I destroy boys" said one (then 33yo) goth woman to me. She was very pretty, except for both her arms that looked like the surface of the moon.

Borderline personality disorder. I know because I had some sort of "non-affair" with a BPD girl (diagnosed, but not currently in therapy) that pulled exactly the same stunts with me. She used to tell me how I'm the best guy ever, how good I smell, and how wet she gets around me. Making out like insane, she getting naked on my lap, we're ready to go.... she snaps back, gets dressed and disappears for weeks or even months at a time. Rinse, repeat. Once, shame on her, several times, shame on me. Do…
