I could be wrong but it seems like you're not hearing what people are saying, you are hearing what you FEAR they are saying. It seems like you are reading between the lines and finding things that aren't there.

First I congratulate you for coming here and actually talking to people. I do think you came here with a preconceived notion of what you would find and it tarnished your experience. You found people who are upset and sarcastic and misinterpreted what they were saying. People here are pointing out double standards, they are widespread and upsetting. No one said women have no problems, but it looks like your expectations of what you would find here caused you to jump to conclusions.

I still dont see it. Where was it said that women dont really have issues with rape/sexual assault? I see you said you're exaggerating a bit, but i still dont see the root. Same with the all women gyms no one said they shouldnt exist. The comment specifically said men should be able to have the same.

Emily I am honestly curious. I took this post and every comment to mean that either these centers should be named for men and women, or men should have their own center. What gave you the impression that anyone wanted "to take away women's resources"? Understanding what gave you that impression might help future conversations.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
