One of the reasons I hate this "women are programmers too" bullshit. When I do something in school and when a woman does the same thing it's some major achievement for them, but for me it's just expected. If I had a button that made life easier I'd take it though, so I don't blame women for hanging onto what they have, but asking for more rights and trying to shame me into doing things that I don't want to do is too much.

Try not to feel bad for anyone else, even if you feel bad don't rope yourself into something you don't want just because of feelings. TF2 is definitely old and some shit has gotten worse, but I still prefer jumping into TF2 pubs and dicking around over many other games. Games like Garry's mod and Counter strike, all basically become taken over by little children and people that only want instant gratification and short minigames. Multiplayer skill based and sandbox games have definitely gotten worse recently, and I'm starting to find myself playing more single player than multi.

I think that's a situational case, even if it wasn't sentient at that point you killed something that as far as anyone knows, was going to be someones child. I'd compare it to stealing, it wasn't your baby so it shouldn't have been your decision. What the court would rule would be interesting, I wonder if this has happened in real life.

Maybe someone's told you, but it goes over your head due to trust issues most of the time, and not knowing if they're telling the truth. You need to experience something yourself most of the time to have the confidence to back out in an awkward situation with no immediate danger; and need experience to be able to see the warning signs more clearly and form a pattern.

Yes the validation threads are some part of the sub, but some shit is general advice like working out or getting out of a shitty relationship. The reason why it happens and doesn't change is that students don't have that much power in reality. Most can't change schools, and college is a big help in the working world so not only can you not threaten to leave, but most need / think they need it to be successful. You can't as easily unsubscribe or stop doing something in college.
