I think it’s 11 years and she’s older than him. Not sure what’s wrong with that?

I’m stealing this quote. As someone who has no tattoos and is always asked why, I can’t wait to use this!

I’ve been flat out asked by about 80% of the men I’ve spoken to for more than a few days. 100% of the men where a more sexualized conversation comes up (going from general flirting to talking about interests, kinks, etc)

How do you find all this? Do you get a last name right off the bat?

I’ve had lots of “feminists” shame me for kinks that involved a man being physically dominant, so no... it’s not extremely accepting.

Because it’s not unhealthy. Not always. And trying to tell someone they are self-loathing because of a sexual kink comes across as shaming. We should be lifting each other up, even if disagreeing with something. Again, having a sexual kink of domination has nothing to do with my self-worth. It has to do with what feels good for my vagina. Two different things. You can disagree with me if you want, but it doesn’t make YOU right about MY emotions. I’m no longer going to argue this point either as …

*could be a potential sign of Not *is always a sign of If it’s not for you, don’t engage in it. But consistently trying to tell me how I feel about myself is akin to being mansplained to.

Tell him you want children within 2 years and if he isn’t on board you’ll find a man who is. Don’t put it off your dreams for someone else.

Does the book cite more actual examples, or just generalities?

You can choose to believe women who have darker kinks are all in need of healing, or you can understand some of us just like to be dominated once in a while - for fun. I love myself, thank you very much, and will defend my kinks to the end because I know I do them in a healthy, safe, way in which I enjoy them. Not because of anything other than it feels good, physically. And certainly not because of self-loathing.

It’s not a symptom of self-loathing for me, Not all power play kinks have to do with hating oneself.

I disagree for a variety of reasons, mostly due to the situation of my specific kinks, how I discuss them with my partner and his reaction to them, but am aware this kink isn’t looked upon well in this sub so won’t engage further. I still believe it’s every woman’s right to have her own set of turn ons, even if they don’t all fit with this subs specific mindsets.

I think we all have a right to our kinks and no one should judge... unless they’re illegal. I have some CNC kinks (no humiliation or striking/pain, however), yet that doesn’t mean I don’t deserve to be treated like a Queen everywhere else. If my partner knows my preference and adheres to it in the bedroom, where fun should be had, I don’t see an issue. Edited to clarify one point.

Honey... no. Re-read how you describe him. He sounds awful. He’s manipulated you already for years. Don’t let him do it again now that you found yourself shine.

So you want to be with someone who gaslighted you, treated your poorly, didn’t think you were good enough, only returned when you lost weight, who you no longer enjoy kissing, don’t have feelings for, and don’t think you ever will again.... because he takes you on an occasional date?

Wait... what? It sounds like you don’t want to be with him. Why not cut him off, again, and date the men who you’re interested in?

I’m not making an assumption in saying me getting work done will always be more important than meeting a man. Based on the context clues: 1. Library, 2. Girl in college typing away, 3. It’s November - so midterm season, 4. Headphones; wouldn’t get him very far in my opinion. Are those assumptions? Of course. But based on his post and the above mentioned, I’m 95% certain I’m right in that she was working. Men can be fun. Men are not I should drop everything I’m doing to give them the time of day …

I’m advising he not interrupt someone “furiously clicking” her keyboard with headphones in, while in the library at school. If he’s also in the library, he’s not “waiting around like a stalker”, he’s doing his work and waiting until she’s not busy. Unless he is a creep and is just stalking the library to meet women. The idea that someone believes they should interrupt my work (which based on the context is the assumption) to try and flirt would automatically make me turn them down because it sho…

Jared Leto? Lol. There’s a big difference between an all-time-celebrity-crush interrupting... anything... and being in a setting where I’m hyper focused and just trying to get work done and some random guy wants to interrupt me to flirt - completely different. A random guy thinking he’s more important than my work - when it’s obvious I’m not trying to talk to anyone - and not caring that I’m busy would annoy me, yes. If she’s so important to meet, then suck it up and wait until she’s finished or…

If I have headphones in and am working, I’d be annoyed if someone interrupted me.

I agree, and thanks for the insight. I struggle with trusting myself in general since learning of the infidelity, and so worry I’ll miss flags as well as worry I’ll be looking for flags which aren’t there. I’m speaking with one man who I can’t get a good read on and so am struggling more, but it seems this is more a self-esteem/self-trust issue.

I understand, but in the rules of the sub FWB option isn’t necessarily out, right? Or am I misreading that? I’ve been out of the game for long time, was with my ex 17 years before he cheated on me, so while I want a loving relationship in which I’m cherished for me, I also want to be able to enjoy some of what I missed. That’s what I’m struggling with, navigating both sides of that. I don’t want to be treated as a body. But, while I’m looking for a man to treat me how I deserve, I still may want…

Why should I wait if I want it though? (Honest question, not trying to be difficult) I saw a postwhich I love about FWB and making them give me oral for some time before even thinking of doing anything with them. I’m kinda into that. I want to be taken out, have fun, get my kicks. I don’t necessarily want to wait 3 months with every guy. Just trying to navigate the FWB/dating world and how to do it on my terms and safely.

I do, but I haven’t found Hinge to have men I’m attracted to in my area as much as bumble. I’m also on The League which has been my favorite as everyone is professional level and above, but Bumble is my second choice by far.

How does this impact the view on the use of Bumble? I prefer that site as I don’t have to inundated with “dtf” or other annoying/disgusting first messages since I have the control to choose who I decide to have in my inbox.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
