This is beautiful. I'd feel privileged if I were your friend. Just to add to your already great reading list - "The Body Keeps the Score" addresses the impact of trauma in the body. Highly recommended if anyone reading this is moved to pursue this path.

Yeah, men need to do more of a lot of things. But I'm not waiting around for that to change, because frankly I'm not responsible for them. I'm not waiting forever for blokes to get their act together before I can enjoy an easier life.

Great, more policing, more energy given to "what is feminism? Is it OK if I...", more analysis of "why women do", what's "problematic"... Just drop the fuckin rope. Men aren't subject to this level of constant granular analysis about everything they do. Women need to stop doing it to themselves.

I am convinced that this is propaganda conceived and produced by a team of men. The girl is an actress. Right?

You may find "Homecoming" by John Bradshaw helpful.

Some encouragement for you maybe - I was too. Worse, I married the scrote. I had a flash of absolute clarity, left him, and went deeply into therapy focused on self worth and confidence. I levelled up very quickly (this was years and years ago) and became very uncompromising and decisive, two traits that haven't left me. The levelling up process doesn't need to take years. Mine was months. I'm now married again, and have had coffee brought to me in bed by a smokin' hot man every morning for the …

That Cosmo article is foul. The freeloading toad was aware that the "experiment" was happening and that his scrote face would be linked to it in a national magazine, yet felt unmoved to change his behaviour at all. Sends a powerful message: low quality men feel no shame whatsoever, only pure entitlement. Sad how this girl believes him to be incompetent, when in fact he's manipulative and sly.

Just one observation: I don't identify as a radfem myself (the movement encompasses quite a lot of economics that I don't jive with so much), and I don't believe women need to be aligned with any particular movement in order to thrive and do well. A lot of today's problems have come about because women slavishly adhere to libfem values which make no sense at all because "that's the right thing to do" or "I have to be a feminist". Explore and enjoy the classic feminist literature, pick and choose…

I read the article with interest. Here's the thing, though - real feminism, actual feminism, the movement, the root of the thing is not and never has been palatable to men. Indeed it shouldn't be. The aim is to free women, identified as the sex class, from men, identified as the oppressor class. It's uncompromising but pretty clear - whether or not you agree with its message or support its aims. People are shocked by young men being anti-feminist because the word has become so utterly degraded, …

They are worse. I would always prefer to face someone openly hostile than someone out to trick me. Another aspect I missed off the original post is that the trickery also always comes with a massive side of entitlement, because they genuinely think the act of labelling themselves "feminists" means they deserve sex.

Like goddamn, at least in the 1950s women were being Pickmes fighting to get Prince Charming and become his Disney Princess, pampered and cherished and pulled out of their struggles by a benevolent traditional provider male. Now? Women are out here fighting over who gets to be treated like a trafficked Romanian h**ker. This is a GREAT, well articulated point. What even is the prize for women these days? The pleasure of getting to fuck and baby some porn-obsessed bag of dicks who can't even get h…
