While I get what you're going for..All of that makes you cringey and still shows you aren't respecting what she told you from the jump. It should be a full stop out of respect for another dood who got her and respect for her, especially you think shes dope. You say respect what shes saying, while you ignore what shes really saying in her text. OP caught her off guard with his approach and she was too nice to shoot him down in person. Her way of saying shes taken means either she lying and is completely not interested and wants to put him down nicely or she really has a boyfriend. Both are clear indicators to move on.

There's millions of women out there that OP can date or sleep with. why waste time on the possibility of something that may or may not happen with a girl who's in a relationship. Easier just to move on instead of putting yourself into the friendzone for a year. That's why instead of asking for the girls number, you give them yours. It takes all the pressure off them and gives them the option of contacting you, while cutting out all the bs and mix messages. That way stuff like this doesnt happen.
