Men are the vast majority of street crime victims. If someone isn't making it home safe at night it's almost always some poor bloke. in order for those acts to be negligent there needs to be a legal duty of care. He wasn't hired or contracted to be her guide, so there's no professional duty of care. she's not his minor child and she wasn't a disabled person with him as her legal carer so there's no duty of care there either. If it was considered a serious crime it would be one of the most commonly perpetrated. About 5x higher than the sexual assault rate, about on par with domestic violence rate. Men are definitely prosecuted for it more. Women are far more likely to not even be charged for assaulting someone. If they are, the judge is more likely to find not guilty, or to give out a non-custodial sentence, and if they are the 1% who goes to prison for it, their sentence will be significantly shorter than a male who commits the same crime.
