This may not be a popular take, but I blame the victim just a little bit on this one. I was once witness to someone getting plowed into by a car going the wrong way down a road. Since then, I've made it a habit of making sure a road is clear from both directions before crossing it. We no longer live in a time where one can blindly expect safety when crossing roads, and she should have known that. The driver should still be burned at the stake, but that's another issue.

I bought a water cooler a good while back and keep a stock of five gallon water containers. Not only does it save me from whatever may be in our water supply, but it's also nice knowing I have that water on hand for a SHTF scenario. Governments will just push for mass immigration. I've seen it in Canada, and I'm sure it's happening elsewhere. If the native residents refuse to play along with marriage, children, etc, the immigrants will be more than happy to fill that gap.
