I saw it more as letting things go, as you don’t have to always have things go your way, not necessarily objective truth. Relationships, in my experience, tend to have arguments over how things are done/opinions, not whether or not it is objectively correct. My mom always wants things to be her way, rather than just letting things go and getting pissy when everyone in the house doesn’t do thing how she wants it. Suffice to say, my family is more than sick of that shit. It’s simply better to let …

Bull-fucking-shit. Even if they didn’t directly, both dudes are fucked over from attending college. Both of them lost scholarships over this, and only one is trying to continue by paying on his own. I hope they can sue the school for this too.

To be perfectly honest, the person is being a bit manipulative by bringing up the women-only gym and defending their existence, when the comments they were replying to had no mention of even saying they they should remove them, simply that if they exist then men should be afforded the same right. The point is that if women can have those places then men should be able to have men only places too, like barber shops, without being slapped with anti-discrimination laws. It’s only fair. So in a real…

This is actually happening with my cousin’s kids. I feel so bad for them, and she has completely abandoned them to my aunt. She has had a kid with the new guy for a few years already, but she does nothing for her first two kids. Luckily, they seem to have grown up okay, but I wouldn’t know what kind of issues they have knowing their mom abandoned them.

UGH PLS NO, DON’T MAKE ME HATE THESE PEOPLE MORE. I remember this now, I was just really hoping it was satire. I honestly can’t tell anymore ;-;

I’m pretty sure this is satire, there’s no way this is real. The statements are too overly idiotic

And her main reason for suing is that he was refusing service on the grounds that it was a girl, not just that his skills were insufficient. Regardless if he has the skills, the fact remains that he was uncomfortable to cut her hair, because he never cuts women/girl’s hair and has no experience, not because it was a girl. The case went to the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission, meaning the mother is suing mainly on the pretense that he refused service because it was a girl, rather tha…

Okay since my opinion is so uneducated, then I suppose the Australian Hairdressing Council’s is too? The Australian Hairdressing Council’s Sandy Chong said there are different techniques used when cutting men’s and women’s hair... “Someone like Mr Rahim - (after) cutting only men’s hair for so many years - probably has more skills than many of the teachers of the course. I understand why he wouldn’t be comfortable cutting women’s hair.”> I guess your educated opinion is more valuable than that o…

And how does she have a case? Her claim very well sounds like an exaggeration of his account of what happened, specifically the “because she was a girl” part. Her claim is what you quoted, while his claim is that he was uncomfortable cutting a girl’s hair, as he felt he would mess it up, not simply because it was a girl. He has every right to feel so, and he even said he politely pointed the way to hairdressers that were VERY close by who would certainly do a much better job. If anything, I find…

The post’s title is worded in a way that makes it seem like men are perceiving women as less intelligent in STEM, which is untrue in the study and only serves to worsen sex relations. The study itself actually says that the men in a sample of a single class perceive themselves as smarter than their peers, not just women. By comparison, the percentage of women that perceive themselves as smarter is lower than men. And we all know that most people who saw that title won’t ever bother reading the a…

Dude didn’t break any rules. Their rules “supposedly” require comments to be scientific, which it was. Peer review is incredibly important in published studies, which criticism is a part of; not to mention the title is completely misleading and misinforming people. You’d assume people who value science SO MUCH would fix that, but nah, they want to push their agenda and be huge fucking hypocrites.

Yeah, I checked back after class this morning and was incredibly disappointed, but not surprised. r/science is an awful subreddit. As someone who is in a science major myself, the mods are a disgrace to true science by deleting criticism of the deliberately misleading title and propagating misinformation.

A bit misleading? To me it seems more like a deliberately false title to cause further divide between men and women. Even if it wasn’t deliberate, the poster clearly fell for clickbait or didn’t read and understand the actual study, which r/science should be dealing with, since they love being scientific so much (but doesn’t seem they are)

God bless this woman for sticking through for this man. If she weren’t so diligent, he’d be fucked. If only there were more people like her in the world...

Well yes, the study was stopped earlier than planned, but 20 men did drop out of the study before then.

So I see multiple problems here. First off, these men need to be better educated about sex, which is a problem in the US in general. Second, there really should be more options for male contraceptives. I remember when there was a study for male birth control shots that was done a while back. Sadly, the study was halted, due to the fact that men were experiencing a large number of side effects, such as pimples and mood swings. Some mood swings in particular were VERY bad. One man even developed s…

Yeah that's true, even when working together is the best option, these are humans we're talking about. They all have their own opinions and desires, and they don't believe that they owe their time to those who disagree with them. People are just prone to conflict over their different beliefs and self-importance, as history has always told us.

You don't. You just get away as far as possible. Lol, all joking aside, show her media that supports your own view points. I saw another comment here say "show her The Red Pill documentary" and I agree with that. This documentary is definitely worth watching and, unless she completely just ignores everything anyone ever says in it (which she might), it should open the conversation. And find statistics that SHOW men have problems that people completely ignore/miss (such as men being 3.5x more lik…

Don't think this was a case of misandry or male disposability. You're reaching here OP. Personally, I just think the teenagers that filmed this are just complete idiots that lack any kind of empathy or compassion for other people.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. I was pulled out of that SJW crap in the LGBT community by my ex, and it's ridiculous how so many in both communities just go at each other's throats, even though it would do all of us so much good by working together.

I've seen this post and I'm glad to see that someone is appreciative of the care their father has given them, while not bashing the "boyish" upbringing. A lot of people aren't so fortunate to have such a good relationship with their dad. But then again, a lot of the posts there are pretty bad.

To be honest, changing your sex legally in Canada isn't that hard, at least from what I've heard. Lauren Southern got her sex legally changed with just a single doctor visit and a visit to a government agency. Her official ID now states she is male. Here's the video This is several months old so who knows how it is now, although I doubt the process has changed.
