Oh we are divorced now. Thankfully

Yep she showed me that too. Turned it all around on me and then threatened me with it as a means to manipulate me into taking her back.

I know exactly why because I went through it. There is zero support. People believe a man can’t be physically abused but they certainly can. When a loved one hits you, it hurts. They betray you. Sadly society betrays us too. I was told by law enforcement there’s no way a woman could have hurt you because of my size.

I have ptsd from an abusive marriage too. I feel your pain.

Thank you. This feels like a realistic idea of what to expect.

I was just thinking this yesterday. I’m a writer and was thinking about writing a space opera centered mostly around men. Do you think this would be something people would read?

Could also be that woman were different back then. More pleasant? There was a lot less propaganda at that time due to the techniques we see today not quite being evolved yet. I dunno just trying to offer a different perspective.

We are being propagandized against. It’s a dehumanization effort. It’s certainly a possibility. The more we allow, the more they will push and push until who knows what happens.

What ya plan on doin when they start rounding up people they deem extremists based only on the fact you oppose what they do?

I was a victim of domestic violence, mental and physical abuse. I would have loved to have a safe place to hide at. No one in law enforcement believed I could be abused either.

I don’t want to get all conspiratorial because people are very adverse to it, but I’ll just say that this goes deeper than people realize.

Would be reeeeeeally interesting to see if it were to happen with the current political climate amongst young males. I personally think there would be riots.

Yeah need a sort of grouping of things together. Men’s issues are nuanced and cover a wide variety of subjects, scales, demographics, severity etc. Me personally, I’d love a group for men who come from abusive relationships as I spent 10 years in one.

I have to disagree about 300. But that’s solely my opinion. There are some good qualities about it though.

Not a bad idea to have a variety of support groups for men.

Yep. Lobbying seemed to work real well for a certain blue and white flagged country. But no one wants to talk about that.

You really need to watch “master and commander”. Total male empowerment, masculinity, brotherhood, camaraderie. Sorry just realized your post said after 2015. Master and commander was 2003, regardless you will enjoy it if you want a movie about men.

I was thinking that maybe she did actually, I really don’t know. I remember being very dizzy and everything hazy. I’ve been drunk before and this was different especially in terms of escalation of how I felt. It was also the first time I barfed, like literally barfed my guts up. She did buy me a drink a couple times that night, I was in like a lounge area separate from the bar so I didn’t actually see her when she bought it.

Thank you for your reply, it means a lot to me. Yes I am still processing it. I don’t think I could or would go anywhere with it honestly. This person may not even be alive and at this point I’ve already been 10 years of abuse in another relationship that I’m recovering from. I can only take so much at the moment.

I guess a good question would be if you yourself are ok with acting upon a person who is severely intoxicated. Let’s say you just had a little buzz.

My wife (now an ex) physically abused me. As soon as I so much as pushed her off me she called the cops on me. I ended up getting a restraining order against her, took my child with me. She went to the district attorney, put herself into a woman’s shelter (by her lawyers advice) and lied about me. I was threatened and stalked by police. It’s a wild story if you ever want to know the full thing.

Thank you for your thoughts. I will say I do feel a hurt when the people here invalidate the possibility that I was raped which I wasn’t expecting. So maybe there is something I need to uncover here. I don’t know. I personally do believe I was raped. In my opinion the moral boundaries of intoxication and consent shouldn’t be shrugged off. By the opinions of the ones opposing, it’s basically ok for me to do the same to a woman. That kind of blows my mind.
/r/MensRights25/01/26 11:16 PM

Well I’m not going anywhere with it. This happened 15 years ago. Just sorting out stuff as I’m on a path to recovery with some troubles I’ve had

So this concept of a “date rape” doesn’t exist anymore?

Are you saying I’m a snake? Or alluding to the fact you can’t rape men because they have a penis.

So if I get a girl drunk I can take advantage of her even if she says no? Like as long as she gives in I’ll be good?
/r/MensRights25/01/26 08:43 PM

I’m questioning it because I’ve been through a hell of a lot the past 15 years. One thing I’m working on is quitting porn addiction, and during this process I do a lot of introspection. Looking back at the past, breaking down and understanding triggers etc. It was simply something that crossed my mind today and I was reflecting on it. Being I follow this subreddit I wanted to see what peoples opinions on it were. It doesn’t necessarily affect my stance on what happened but it does help me with s…

Thank you for your comment. I’m sure I understand why you’re getting downvoted but I value all opinions regardless. I’d like to understand more from your point of view. What’s your stance on intoxication? Do you think it doesn’t affect one’s decision making? Like it’s ok to go driving while drunk?
/r/MensRights25/01/26 08:26 PM

You’d have to do some thorough research. Looking to see if they take donations from foreign entities would be a good start. If they do then no.

My stance is that I’m never expressing my feelings to anyone ever again. It has only ever been used as ammunition against me. My burden is my own now and not anyone else’s to carry. No one’s getting in anymore.

Eh. Some people have good intentions in this life. Ignorance is bliss after all. Is it truly their fault they were conditioned to this situation? It’s like the matrix, you don’t know you’re in it until you wake up. I think it’s counterproductive to say they deserve what they got. Were you ever married? If not what’s your motive for posting this?
/r/MensRights24/01/26 05:14 AM

Serious question. What does this have to do with men’s rights? It’s just a bunch of divorced women complaining.

When your circumcised your losing a huge amount of nerve endings resulting in less pleasure from sex. Sure sex might feel great but too bad you’ll never get to experience what it’s really supposed to feel like.

I once told my son: “Never let anyone define what it means to you to be a man”. True beauty comes from within, you can have the most rugged and hardened exterior and still be beautiful. Kindness, compassion, empathy, acts of selflessness are what is truly beautiful in this world. Will the world accept these things as beauty? Likely not, but there’s many people out there who do and that’s enough to give me hope.

Yeah we need some lord of the rings style affection and camaraderie.
