As user Reformed65 says, it displays I can lose myself in the moment, hurt the daughter, and create a terrible image in the parents' eyes. Don't get me wrong, I am not seeking their approval but it is to my benefit that I have a positive image in the long run.

I'm well aware that my emotions got the best of me; my question is whether it's worth being open about something as major as that to a family I highly respect.

The scars being the memory someone will use against you (i.e. ltr) ?

That would be logical; making fun of yourself making it aware that you know what you've done and indirectly admitting your mistake. Would it still be applicable to bring it up in the future as a joke? Ex: speaking to someone and it comes up perfectly, "haha, like when I acted so and so, that was absolutely hilarious". I also don't mean to bring it up often on purpose, rather if it just so happens to be similar to the topic at hand.

Thank you for your answer. That makes sense - some people do comprehend that we all make mistakes, but they will use all our faults against us if we allow them to.

A lot of people here think they can "change" a woman or find one that will "deal" with their boundaries. It's as you say - their nature. Either accept it, love it because you're a man who can withstand the weight of the world, and she's a woman, destined to piss us off yet be so delicate.

You've got it more or less spot on. I don't have much drama in my current LTR; in fact it's the most RP themed one I've had. We're both conservative Russian families so there's a lot of common ground and acceptances when it comes to me being RedPill's "Alpha" standard. Thanks for taking the time for that.

I don't mean to steal the post OP, but I am interested in your thoughts (walawalawa) concerning a break up. Some time ago with my current LTR, we had an argument where she asked to be left alone and didn't wanna join my baking time - I said sure, went to bake, chilled on the couch doing my thing something like 2-3 hours. She proceeds to take a walk 2 hours in, comes back and packs her stuff, I tell her "it's unfortunate it had to end this way" and she's holding tears back, ya know. I let her wal…

In your situation, I would not have even messaged her, and even if I did, never would say "I miss you". You guys were dating for approximately a month at the time(?), and you were not too alpha for her from what I can tell. Notice how she said "nice", she literally did not care about you at that moment - you are not her emotional rock who can sustain himself. She's probably off getting fucked somewhere else, accept that as #1. #2 Start improving yourself; remember AWALT, delete her from everywhe…

This is where going out there, experiencing life will work. The simplest things from saying "nice outfit" to a passing stranger and helping old lady next door can change one's outlook on life entirely.

I think he perceives "releasing testosterone" as masturbating (unsure of OP's sex life). Upon cumming, most guys become too fucking lazy to do anything afterwards.

Great insight - acknowledging both thankfulness for what you have and becoming aware that most of our problems - aren't problems.

I'd like to add meditation isn't necessarily sitting, humming and going all zen mode. You could do it in your everyday life. Sitting on a transport, what do you see? What do you feel? What does your mind instruct you to do? How are you breathing, are you nervous? Just asking yourself "how am I feeling" can change a lot if you look from a different perspective. Side bar for meditation friend, wish you all the best in your journey to becoming a better man.

Remember that your reaction is based upon what you've perceive to be "stress". Say, home from long day at work, relative dies, tire pops, Murphy's law in one day. Wife makes some ridiculous demands of how Laura got a pearl necklace and she didn't. It is critical that YOU take notice of your reaction. Do you have thoughts of anger, regret, or grief? When you realize the emotions are there, you have achieved catharsis. From then on, you're capable of choosing your reaction under stressful situatio…

As everyone's stated here, women always have "backups" (i.e beta orbiters) and if you want an easy way to know whether a woman is "rational" in a situation or not, just imagine the perspective of a privileged high school white girl. I speak for North American girls, although I am sure it's the same across many other continents.

You've got quite fair points there, thank you. Congratulations as well, that has to be quite the accomplishment.

You worded it the concise way I should have. I'm in absolute agreement that he should have terminated the relationship much earlier than at the peak of domestic violence. Even without knowing, he brought down his own value through gf's eyes through this video.

Mate, this can go for hours but as I said, motivation is what keeps me going. You can say it's discipline, but in my mind I'm not repeating the same exercise for building or persuasion for the buyer. I keep pushing for something bigger.

That's what I'm trying to argue; momentum is the continuous push, but motivation is that big nasty kick to your ass. You got to where you wanted to? Kick forward. You earned what you wanted? Kick yourself forward. There are no limits unless you believe in them.

When you aim to get better at something, (Ex: body mass), don't you think you need to imagine yourself in that final stage? A kick to start the machine for routine? Motivation IS plain when put like that, but I personally believe it is what keeps us going.. At least for me. My motivation is to make more financial gains so I can build my own gym, or with the amount of plates I have, I'm motivated to fuck even more because I know I'm entirely capable of getting who I want if I motivate myself to d…

Great motivational post for the newcomers. "If all we had to do was to rub some magic snake oil on our skin to get everything we wanted in life, someone would have found a way to bottle it and sell it in mass quantities at an outrageous price." I love that.
