Basically, I going to go from being married with two teenage daughters to a single parent with three teenage daughters (but one is in her 40s). No logic.I wish I could be a fly on the wall when she has to pick up health insurance, car insurance, phone, netflix, and state and federal tax filings. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/11/22 03:53 PM
Basically, I going to go from being married with two teenage daughters to a single parent with three teenage daughters (but one is in her 40s). No logic.Oh, I do and she had a tremendous responsibility because I was gone for long stretches at a time. However, as soon as the kids became complicated, she stopped. She didn't know how to deal with pre-teens and teens, so she stopped communicating with them. She had no interest in learning how to parent teens, even if I gave her a book. She took no interest in their education, their transitioning to young adults, their drivers licenses, their personal lives, their education-to-career path, their ment… | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/10/22 07:18 PM
Basically, I going to go from being married with two teenage daughters to a single parent with three teenage daughters (but one is in her 40s). No logic.Going through it now. My wife showed no interest in the Separation Agreement or the divorce process. Yet again, something else I had to do. She rejected the first draft which had her waiving the right to my retirement account and spousal support. | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/10/22 04:46 PM
Basically, I going to go from being married with two teenage daughters to a single parent with three teenage daughters (but one is in her 40s). No logic. In the beginning, it made sense since she really helped take care of the toddlers and I traveled. I still encouraged her to take classes, even part-time. Then she stopped parenting when they got into middle/high school and they became typical teenagers. I didn't want to push too hard for her to get a real job, but in hindsight I should have. I was too young when we got married and I viewed marriage as something harmless that is what you're supposed to do when you grow up. | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/10/22 03:49 PM
What is she waiting for?Mine too. Very sudden and unexpected. Someone mentioned either menopause or PMDD is possible culprits. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/09/22 06:35 PM
What is she waiting for?She keeps tally of everything she does around the house and time spent together and is very weird about money. This part stood out more that anything else. She might be building a case against you for a trial. I kind of cringe at the people jumping to her cheating with so little evidence. It sounds like she may have some mental health issues going on. Bottom line, though, is you deserve better. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/09/22 03:31 PM

Money vs. kid mental health implications of leaving?Don't think of leaving has messing up the kids' home. Think of it as modelling to them what a happy relationship will look like, and also what it means to make tough decisions for your welfare. Yes, total time will be reduced, but honestly a lot of together time is doing chores, watching TV, looking at the internet. It is possible to make the time together more active, and reduce the down time to when you aren't with them - if that makes sense. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/09/22 05:53 PM
Second DivorceGoing through a second one now. The first didn't really count as I was young and stupid. I need to get married by the time I turned 30. I did and then divorced by 31. However, looking at a third marriage makes me feel a bit tainted (although I don't think I would ever marry again). | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/09/22 08:39 PM
