She will understand eventually I’m still waiting on that day as-well. My ex wife brainwashed my daughter. And just like you everything you can imagine. It took my 6 years to get divorced and just shy of 200k in legal fees. I use to have to call the police to have my daughter go with me. Broke my heart, but it was my time. After all the fighting. I ended up with 50/50 no child-support she has to pay me back 12k. At a clip of 200 a month. My daughter is now 8 and enjoys coming over and spending ti…

Also took me almost 6years. The judge just signed my divorce last week Friday. Started the divorce in 2020

I lost 180k just in attorney fees.

Man I wish I could of talked to you like a week ago. Just waiting on the judges signature after a long almost 6 year battle. I too had tons of false accusations. Sheriffs at my house every week. You’re absolutely right about the attorney thing. I even told my attorney are you working for her side or mine. Did she pay you or did I.

Where I’m located. Even at 50/50 child support is still enforced on the men. It’s a very pro women state. I’ve even had a judge (because I was raising my kid) say me don’t know how to raise kids women do. So she gave her 50/50 and put me on child support.

It’s taken a toll on me in every way. I’ve drained and maxed out everything fighting for my kids. So far behind on bills. Electric and water are damn near maxed to getting shut off. Well they did and I paid what I could to get them turned back on. It’s very stressful but I have to fight for them. She has tried everything in the book to take them from me. But if I did the same to her I would be the one penalized. We have 50/50 custody and child support was suppose to stop 2 years ago and her atto…

Try being 6 years in and still can’t get the divorce done with 150k plus in attorney fees

No im saying while you go through the divorce problem don’t move out as long as it will suck. You don’t want her using that against you saying you abandoned your kid(s)

It’s a woman judge and she already told me when she gave her 50/50 when I had been raising her, that women know how to raise kids better than men

Trying to take custody away from me always making false accusations of every and anything.

I’ve said it many times on here. My divorce is still not done. I’ve paid my attorneys so far 153k. She has done any and everything you can think of to take custody away. It’s been going on almost five years now. Have sheriffs at my house literally ATLEAST once a week. They just come to show face now. One of her attorneys made her fire her saying she’s a horrible excuse for a woman. For all the things she’s done and accused me of. You’d think the courts would see through it but so far haven’t. Ev…

Like my woman of five years will always say I’m not like your ex I would never do that but then say things that make you question. Like if things went down hill they would do the same thing. Because they said something that your exw would say. That’s where I’m at. Like I cannot trust that you will not do me dirty. I definitely hold back.

It’s ok I pay 1700 for one and 1200 for the other and one of them I have 50/50 custody and my divorce has been going on for 5 years I’m in with attorneys fees and court costs for 156k and some change.

But do they include her income in figuring out your childsupport?
/r/Divorce_Men11/10/24 07:16 PM

Oh and the others persons income is not accounted in child support only the supporters

Tell me about it. In this state a lot of the time if you have 50/50 custody you still have to pay childsupport I can show you my orders if you don’t believe me

Exactly and I’m the complete opposite. Like there was never any issue when we were married now there’s a problem now I’m not safe when I raised my daughter. I got banned from School because she showed them I have 3 pending sex assault cps cases on me that she filed. It’s just a nightmare. You should never want anything ill to happen to the mother of your children but this one is just evil. Since then those cases have been closed no founding and I even asked the cps lady what’s happens when it’s …

Exactly. And they shouldn’t be making side deals with the other side and then telling you about it later. Like for instance I had final trial for divorce April this year. I requested discovery for her 2 years back that’s all in October 23. My attorney never came to me she extended her time to turn over discovery twice. Then come 1 week before trial they request discovery from me. Going back 6 years all financials who I’ve had sex with who I’ve had at my house whenever I had anyone at my house. I…

I’ve actually been looking into that and been looking into filling something against my attorney and her attorney. My attorney won’t answer my calls because I told her to do her job get my money and get the divorce finalized and she sits on her ass and does nothing. My first attorney I loved. She fought for me and won me everything I have now. But stbxw attorney told her to fire her because she was a disgrace of a woman went to go work for my attorney so it became a conflict of interest. So ther…

Yep actually last Friday I had the sherrifs at my house because I have cameras in my house to protect me. But she called because I have cameras in the house so I’m invading her privacy and filming her. It’s crazy.

It’s a scam. It should be illegal for anything like that to cost that much. Especially when attorney collude with eachother

Mine did aswell I was having to pay her 1300 dollars a month in childsupport for one kid while having 50/50 custody. She makes 40k more than me. Finally got them to drop the childsupport but her lawyer wanted to write up the order and still hasn’t after 6 months. So I’m still paying its such bs.

If she’s a civil type don’t know much that are. And no kids should be a breeze

Stbxw as taken me back to court for everything. Anything you can think of she has tried to get custody from me. You think of it it has happened at least 3 times. Also have Sherrifs at my house pretty much every week for something she’s claiming. And they do nothing to her. If I were to make one false accusation I guarantee you I’d be arrested

Not to mention I’m on my last leg. I’ve maxed out 4 credit cards just to pay attorneys after never being in debt I’m like in debt 30k to credit card companies. My girl finally moved in to help lighten the load of bills and split stuff but now it’s just a hassle with her two adult kids. She got payed off last month 2 weeks before she gave birth to our son. So now I’m back at ground zero. Having to try and pay all the bills again after her helping out for one month. I’m just like at my last straw.…

Idk if they have like over here in Texas but you can have the deputy sheriff to server her. She’d be more inclined to open the door to a police officer.

Nobody said I was treating her like shit did you read what I wrote? No where did I say I treat her like shit. I just said I don’t do the same things I did for my xw for her. Edit: you obviously have done probably most if not all of the things us men complain about women doing to us.

No it’s completely not fair. But when you’ve been with someone over 10+years (not including the 4+years the divorce process has taken) and to be treated the way most guys are treated by women when we go through divorce and not ever heard by the courts and they can do whatever they want say whatever they want without merit and be heard without consequences of making false statements or allegations. It’s turns you off to giving everything to someone else especially in your head you know one day, i…

I’m actually like this. You don’t want to get hurt again and the pain was so extensive. Why give her everything so she can rip me apart when she decides to leave when I can give her just enough so she can be satisfied. I don’t do any of the stuff i use to with my stxw (been going through divorce for 4years). Just don’t want to feel like that again.

What are you talking about. I have my daughter mon tues Friday sat Sunday drop off Monday morning one week then tues Wednesday drop off Thursday morning the next week. Maybe I’m not understanding your comment. If anything I do way more than 50%. There is no teamwork with her.

That was an excellent take. Pretty much what is. Going through. My divorce process started almost 4 years ago and she has tried everything even abuse and sexual abuse on the kids each time they found no fault of mine and I ask them what’s the consequences for filing false reports they tell me a felony. Yet won’t do anything about it. Everything you said was spot on and the same with my stbxw we have 50/50 custody she make more than me and I have to pay her child support. I’m now In over 100k in …

Texas laws don’t account for the other one’s income. And lead strongly towards women. And a lot of people who have 50/50 custody have to pay. It’s ridiculous and unjust. If you’re doing the exact same thing but have to pay someone.

-Texas -2 kids 1 50/50 and 1 lives 28hrs away so just summers I pay healthcare and 1700 to the one out of state and 1300 for the one that I have 50/50 with. -she also makes like 20k more than me.

Bro you need to move on. you will be much happier once you do. I’ve been going through a divorce for 3 years and 100k+ plus in attorney fees I can’t even stand to look at this woman anymore. Once you get yourself back out there and find someone who will truly appreciate you, you’ll realize how much you needed it and how much healthier you feel.

Idk what state you are in but in Texas you can file an annulment if you file before the first year. So I would get on the skippy.

I struggle with this. Because I do not want to get her anything. But then my daughter always wants to get something. So I don’t do nothing fancy whatever she says she wants to get her I get no wrapping it up or anything.

OP what state do you live in? I know some states will have you pay child support after 18 if they aren’t in college but I’ve never heard of paying child support till they are 26. Just curious.

Zero chance the only thing they will do it put it to the back of your childsupport so you could get off earlier
/r/Divorce_Men23/02/23 09:27 PM

If you have 50/50 custody why would you need to pay her child support? So that she wouldn’t have to get a real job?

Pretty much bro. Mines gone so far as to calling the police everyday on me to try and get me arrested and calling cps on me with my kids.

Yea my retainer was 7,500 and when I was just 11 months in it’s was up to 32k. It’s a scam but we need attorneys otherwise is men get shafted.

That’s a good idea thank you. I just can’t take her off my medical insurance because I’m retired military and I can’t take them off until the divorce is final because they are a dependent idk it’s dumb. But still she would end up paying thousands and thousands if she wasn’t on there especially because I keep telling her she need s to take them on post to get seen and she doesn’t and so hospital bills are racking up because they aren’t in network and she doesn’t care.

Yea kind of like me. She’s on her fourth attorney her second one told my attorney she wished she would fire her because she was appalled by how she acted making false reports to cps among other stuff the judge even ordered her to pay I think it was 3k of my attorney fees.
/r/Divorce_Men31/12/22 12:57 AM

It’s called 2-2-3 so one week I have her mon tues then she has her wed Thursday then I pick her back up for Friday sat and Sunday return her Monday morning next week she has her Monday Tuesday then I have her wed Thursday then she has her Friday sat Sunday and so on and so forth. That’s the guidelines the judge set for temporary custody.
/r/Divorce_Men31/12/22 12:53 AM
1

That’s exactly what she’s doing. And keeps threatening me with different things. Just tired of it just want to move on. There is no such thing as cops renting with her she ran all the other men out out of t their kids lives. And she expected me to fold too especially after weeks of calling the cops on me saying I’m in possession of illegal substances. And false reports. Nothing happened to her but if I did that to her I’d be in jail. It’s crazy.

You must not be from Texas and understand how the court system works here. There is only CP and NCP here in Texas even if you have 50/50

Yea but not in the state of texas. What took a lot longer is her keep trying to take me to court to modify child custody which the judge wasn’t having trying to get me to pay for her to get counseling and take more custody away from me. In the state of Texas the child support formula is based solely on the net monthly income of the non-custodial, or paying, parent.
/r/Divorce_Men30/12/22 05:57 AM
3

That’s the thing though in Texas it doesn’t matter how much she makes. That’s not configured in childsupport. Which is so dumb. I’ve been told many times it’s a women’s state they do all they can to make sure the women are taken care of.
/r/Divorce_Men30/12/22 03:55 AM

Yea she makes way more than I do. Plus she makes an extra like 30k on childsupport from the other kids on top of that. I wish the courts would just see that she’s a child support warrior. It’s just miserable she’s late everytime it’s time to bring her across the street from where she lives(meanwhile I have to drive 30 mins there and back each time). Our schedule is so screwed up because she didn’t want her to not have her for more than three days straight. So we do a 2-2-3 but like one week I ha…

Yea it is temporary but I also pay childsupport for my son from a previous relationship. Im medically retired from the military on a no working status so I can’t even make anymore income if I wanted to. Like 60 percent of my income goes to childsupport so trying to make ends meet have been really hard.
/r/Divorce_Men30/12/22 03:22 AM

I’m in San Antonio, Texas. The courts really side with the women on everything. Like the judge gave her child support because she said she wouldn’t be able to afford anything because she needs something bigger for her other kids. Oh and she makes over 30k more than me.
