Of course. The core principles are very similar to what you'd find in, say, Carnegie's How to Win Friends and Influence People.

Personally I would recommend just not being an asshole. It's people like you that give seduction a bad name.

I'm 39, and I get a ton of interest from women as young as 18 and 19, more so than I ever did when I was their age. In fact I asked my mom one time where all those women were when I was in my twenties and she deadpanned, "Diapers". Not every woman is looking for an older man, but especially at a 5-10 year age difference it's going to work more in your favor than not. It's your own hangups holding you back; not theirs.

I think the acne will make you less successful than if you didn't have acne. If you let it prevent you from trying your own insecurity will have made you infinitely less successful, far beyond anything the acne could have ever done. Your acne is what it is. The question is whether you'll adopt an attitude that maximizes your chances for success or guarantees failure.

There's a limit to how much attraction you can build over text and phone. It may seem to her like you're moving too fast considering you haven't even met, and that may be prompting the "friends" comment to slow things down a bit. Not that she's not interested, but more as an anti-slut defense. I'd try and minimize contact until you can actually meet (and do that as soon as possible) so that idea doesn't gain too much traction in her head. Then see how things go.

Dressing to accentuate your strengths and minimize your flaws and good hygiene help too. Well chosen shoes and clothes can even make you seem taller. My problem with this question is I think it's more in search of an excuse than a solution. I'm not good looking/tall enough/rich enough/whatever to get the girl. Fuck that attitude.

Who the fuck cares? Putting on muscle is the only one of those three you can do anything about. It'll help, but the most important thing is always going to be your attitude and personality.

The fuck are people always asking questions that only they can answer? Are you happy with your current mindset? If so, it's a great mentality to have. If not, then try and change it. The only thing I can think of is it could be a sign of low testosterone, depression, etc..

Pick up any women's magazine and it'll be chalk full of similar articles for women. Men are supposed to somehow magically know how to flirt and interact with women. Can some of it be douchey or pathetic? Sure, but like anything else on the Internet you have to use judgment to figure out what you're going to buy into. There is a lot of helpful information for guys in Seddit. If you have a better source feel free to chip in. Otherwise you've got absolutely nothing to add to this conversation.

I used to be the guy that was always concerned with pleasing the girl in bed. The problem is, most girls like a guy who takes charge in the bedroom to one degree or another. That doesn't mean they like it rough, but they do want the alpha male who dominates them. Be physical with them; move them around, tell them what to do. See how they react. 90% of being a good lover is being tuned in to their reactions. Act like they've driven you to completely lose control. It's a common fantasy for girls t…

The gist of a 3some in my mind is "everybody's having sex with each other," and I never had any reason to give thought to the awkward moments that can come up with 3rd wheelism. I think you'll go crazy if you try and make sure that everybody is equally involved every second. What you want is overall equality, and everybody to go home happy. That may mean everybody is receiving pleasure at one point, and at others that two of the people are working on the pleasure of the third. Communication and …

To each their own, but (aside from a period shortly after my divorce) it hasn't been a primary driver for me. That being said my highlight reel when my life flashes before my eyes when I die will be much more interesting now, and I've had experiences most guys can only dream of. Anyway, my point wasn't "don't have sex". The OP seemed to be concerned about being a shallow fuck and hooking up with a bunch of women. I guess my point was there's nothing shallow about wanting to date casually whether…

There's nothing wrong with sex, but I'm going to say it's more about dating and meeting people than how many people you hook up with. I got married with almost no dating experience. It was a 14 year disaster. Looking back I felt my primary mistake was not having more relationships. I had little confidence, and I was just happy to find somebody who would take me. She was a wonderful person, but we weren't remotely right for each other and I had little experience dealing with relationships. I've b…

It's certainly possible to learn all kinds of things from the seduction community and still be the furthest thing in the world from an asshole. The choice is up to you what kind of person to be. The only debate would be whether being an "asshole" can make you more effective. Personally I think there are aspects of being an asshole that can be effective, but you can incorporate 90% of them and still be a class act.

Questioning stuff is great, I just think you're asking the wrong question. The right question is can skills learned from the seduction community help you become the person you want to be? Screw how other people use it. My original point wasn't that lying never exists in seduction, only that it's not an inherent, necessary part.

I'm talking primarily about r/seduction, not about celebrity PUAs whom are all over the map. At any rate, I don't have anything to prove. Seduction is mainly about learning tools. Like any tools, it's up to you to select the right one for the job and decide how to use it. It's my opinion, and a great many here agree with me, that you'll have the most success if you use those tools in an honest way and in a manner consistent with your character. So ultimately it's not about how others use the too…

The solution isn't to be dishonest throughout a relationship. The solution is to figure out what the underlying issue is and fix it. The skills you learn in seduction might help with that, they might not. Anybody who thinks seduction means lying is doing it wrong. The goal should always be to adapt the skills to who you are, and integrate it into their personality. IMO a PUA should be more genuine than your average Joe, because he's not afraid to be who he is.

most 14 year olds say dick instead of penis, pussy instead of vagina, if you cant say the proper terminology with out dieijng on the floor i dont care what age you are I'm almost 40, and yes, I'll use the words penis and vagina if I'm speaking with my doctor. If I'm talking to my girlfriend that just doesn't work so well. That's one of the worst examples I've ever heard. It's not even worth an "I'd like to put my penis in her vagina" joke.

I keep reading threads like these hoping I'm going to find a good answer. I was married for over a decade and didn't really date before that, so I've really wanted to keep things casual for awhile and learn about dating and myself. The ironic part is I don't really care about sex anymore. I did at first, because the sex was horrible in my marriage. But now I'd be perfectly happy to just date and not have sex. Of course, despite this attitude (or more likely because of it) every time I even look …

it's OK to date more than one person as long as one isn't turning into a relationship. If you're sexually active with both people they need to know for their own safety The problem with this approach is that you're dating; fine. Then things start to turn sexual and that's a really bad time to say, "Oh yeah, I'm screwing some other people." Of course it's an awkward conversation on a first date too, so beats the shit out of me.

Some guys are. I know after my divorce I was ready to sleep with almost anybody. Now I'm choosier, and I pass on more opportunities than I take. At any rate it wasn't a judgment; but being selective is a good way to help avoid disease.

I always use condoms and I'm pretty damn selective about who I sleep with. Not everybody in r/seduction is looking to sleep with as many people as possible (not that there's anything wrong with that).

I've had women think I'm gay before. I understand where you're coming from, but I end up just taking it as a compliment. It's a bit of a stereotype, but gay guys are seen as having style, being fun to be around, and hot girls seem to love to hang around them. There are even some PUA routines centered around pretending to be gay. I'm not one for deception, but I have no doubt you could have still used the situation to your advantage. Agree and amplify. Everybody wants to be more attractive and likable. Pick up almost any women's magazine and you'll find a dozen articles on "How to get the Guy" or flirting better or coming across as more desirable. doesn't most of seddit string multiple girls in their "harem" along through half-lies, club bouncing, and ambiguity about their intentions? I don't think that's fair. Certainly there are some people out there just looking to bang as many girls at they can and they're willing to do anything to accomplish that. The entire point of a threesome is to be close to each other. I've had a couple on a queen size bed and it wasn't an issue. A foursome would probably be a little crowded on a queen--I've only done those on king sized beds. tl;dr If you're having a threesome, the bed size is the least of your worries.

Here's what I occasionally do with one of my girlfriends to great effect: I forbid her from having an orgasm until I give her permission. I'll bring her right to the point where she's having to really struggle not to go over the edge. Then I'll back off just a little and keep her on the edge until she's really crazy before letting her come down some. I'll switch between vaginal and clitoral stimulation. I let her come almost completely "down" every now and stroke her body. By this point the slig…

"I'm just wondering if going for the F-close early is hurting the LTR prospect." Yes it is, but only because you're choosing to see girls who choose to have sex with you as not being worthy. You have three options: Be happy with getting sex and not having long-term relationships. Lose the attitude that causes you to think less of women because they choose to have sex with you (same as you choose to have sex with them--do you think less of yourself for that?). I've been wanting to post some questions about introversion too. I don't think a lot of people realize there's a big difference between being shy and being introverted. It's not necessarily a lack of social skills (though many Introverts may not have developed them) and it's not a fear of being around people. It's just that being around a lot of people and socializing is draining for us, as opposed to energizing extroverts. I can and I am improving my social skills, but I have no desire to spend…

I think it's a combination of things. First I doubt the average Redditor is quite as bad off as you might think. Many of us have never had problems with women, and many more (like myself) have gotten or are in the process of getting over our hang-ups. People with problems are louder, though, and they find a sympathetic ear. An even bigger problem is perception. I'll speak only for myself, but I suspect many share my opinion. There are definitely applications of Myers-Briggs for PUA. I'd recommend a book called TypeTalk. It will help you identify your personality type and the type of others, and give you strategies for better communication based on your types. The Please Understand Me books by Keirsey and Bates are good too, but I'd start with TypeTalk.

Maybe this idea is too corny, but I heard about it years ago and have always wanted to try it.
