because of that, it is bad for your health to focus on what other people think it is not just women, people in general want to believe they are right and others are wrong. Women maybe are better on average at convincing themselves of that (sometimes desperately)

I live in Israel. Divorced men are treated awfully, rape against men is not considered rape and if you have a child via sperm theft you have to pay child support. The usual downsides and biases of having to fulfill traditional roles and also to cope some new forms of misandry happen here too. When hundreds were taken hostage the government worked first to free the women, leaving men last That said it might not be the absolute worst, once you hear the stories from abroad. The society is very fami…

wouldn't it depend on the right in question? OP should elaborate, but of course there are rights that no person deserves, like the right to murder, for example. I think they wanted to make a point about rights feminism pushes for in Western countries but actually undermine human rights of other people or are undesirable in any case.

Focus on what you have (some support even if very limited) instead of what you don't have (female privilege) Not because it is great but because you have to touch reality and if you focus on what you don't have you suffer twice instead of once. You will find that even a change that makes you suffer once instead of twice can be a very meaningful step towards happiness

I get your point about hyper-specialization but your example confused me. How would you explain the similarities between Indo-European languages otherwise? By the way we are not speaking of all the languages of the old world - plenty of them are not Indo-European (Basque, Finnish, Georgian, and most Asian and African languages)

> Men would seldom have that overwhelming disgust for women doing the same. I am not sure. Sexual attraction and disgust are very close. A naked body can elicit both. Yes, men are quite visual creatures and very attracted by young, beautiful, healthy female bodies. But I guess that many are disgusted by a great part of the portion of female bodies they are not attracted to.

Well as others have said the world is not exactly as those reels, they are very extreme and not representative (do you have happily married friends? are they represented in those "reels"?.. exactly) One thing to consider about chivalry and similar stuff is that it can be not sex-based. Just some generosity toward people who have more struggles than you have - they can be children, the elderly, men and women. The *expectation* that "real men" are always chivalrous toward women in particular is to…

And yet progressive people still exist, are more and more prominent, and a lot of them are born from a conservative family. Honestly the first thing is visual and it can be very strong. It is not necessarily sexual but the things that attract men are different from those that women like to obsess about (like the nail color). Then it becomes much more complex and it varies widely between individuals but love requires some synchronicity in personality, interests and so on.

I don’t know if you were wrong but the key is being together against the issues and not fight as in you against him. If my partner said she was hurt by something I did it would be a constructive (and vulnerable) comment. If she said that I do this and that and that’s not right it would be an attack. In the latter case piling on that that “I didn’t say that to you before because you are/aren’t ….” It would be a bigger attack, but she said “I was afraid to…” it would be constructive

I have seen a male one and a female one. The female one was much better in almost everything than the male one but yes when we got to male perspective on things she just can't doesn't see it the same way. She thinks all men are thrilled to pay for dates and I should be like that too while every single man I spoke to told me that men paying for dates is an unfortunate reality and they do it just to get with the flow.

I am Israeli and I am noticing the same. I watch news in Hebrew Also in Israel there has always been gratitude for the army, whose combatants are overwhelmingly male. And there are residuals from the socialist era when men and women were really considered equal (it’s mainly the recent Western influence that changed that, combined with the increasing of extremist forms of religion).

I can see that some young women in really oppressive homes could be liberated by this call to selfishness as much as some young men could benefit from some red pill "awakening". The issue is taking this to the extreme as a societal value imposed on everybody. They are behaving as if the majority of women are oppressed, when that is not the case in the modern age. As a universal teaching this is more likely to create monsters than to liberate people.

Even in their meaningless way of “measuring” the amount of false accusations they make mistakes in basic math that would make a fifth-grader fail their class (1% of 4% is 1 in 2500, not 1 in 250). But that’s pointless because this is just meaningless, as said.

I don’t care about those movements since as you show (the suffragists being racist and the feminists being hypocritical) no “movement” has ever been pure. Sometimes I hear about an idiotic discrimination being put in place. I think that 90% of the time birth control is a non issue. If you don't trust your partner (e.g. a one night stand) you take precautions no matter what sex you are since the cost of having an eventual baby is way more than the discomfort of a condom or even the side effects of the pill. If you are a couple and you trust each other it's a shared responsibility. One may take the discomfort in place of the other but hopefully the other partner will pick up some of the burden in some way to make up …

This does not sound constructive to me. Feminism is as an idea so widely believed to have had good effects that "going back" will be much more controversial than "going forward". Basically when you frame feminism as something we move on from you are allowed to trump on it. But if you directly tear it up you are losing for no reason a lot of people who would happily join you in progressing either you. It's all in the framing. I wouldn't know. From a lot of conversations with men and women I get that the MRM ideas are shared by most people who are reasonable and genuinely care about some man - themselves, a husband or a son. People are just afraid to voice that. I don't think there is the "equivalent" male thing. But of course humanity, men and women, is bombarded these days with a staggering amount of marketing. Especially on the "status" side - expensive electronics, dresses, cars, etc... And there are plenty of male targeted campaigns where they make you feel you just need some stuff to be a "real man". "Tactical"/"military grade" gear is one example. Car mods is another. The thing is while women are expected as a group to care for beauty, self-care,…

That's a good description of what's happening now. But no clue about the cause Is this gamma bias observable in other cultures? In past civilizations? Does this stem from a fashion? From a friend/foe response? From in-group/out-group busses? Is this observable in other aspects of society? Is it a sign of power? (I.e. do we see this gamma bias in other contexts, e.g. ethnic groups, wealth classes, etc..)?

Yep. In early Roman law there was a “paterfamilias” (the eldest male in the household) who had death and life rights over anybody else. In the Bible you see women with no agency, who obey either the father or the husband. Those are situations you might call “patriarchal”. In the modern Western world nothing like that exists

It strikes me personally as my ex girlfriend had boundary issues with her mother. But it’s not a men’s right issue. It’s a mental health issue. Look up narcissistic mothers, enmeshment and emotional incest. What’s true this kind of issue presents itself with mother’s more than with fathers.

You know it doesn’t get super bad until the last paragraph. Everybody should try to educate their children to find happiness and not to settle. Of course making it about men vs women is idiotic. Are you a man or a woman? And are you very different in appearance from the typical Italian? For women it’s easier, but if people assume you are not Italian locals could be more reluctant and afraid to approach, but expats and tourists will be a good pool. Beach parties in the Riviera, Tinder in hand. This will maximize chances. Like everywhere else doing an activity you like can let you find partners. E.g. if you hike you could meet interesting people on the way.

First of all feminism deserves a very harsh criticism. However MRA should also move on if they wish to achieve something. MRAs should accept that a consistent portion of powerful feminist will do everything in their power to undermine them and work with that assumption. People are terrorizing themselves in an increasingly isolated echo chamber. But it's a product of our times. Once when people were people sponsored a date for friends it was a nice courtesy to check on them and if they did something unpleasant: "did my friend behave well? Was he/she dressed well?". You probably don't if you live in the West. It's not all her responsibility. She didn't start as awful. Depp could put up some boundaries during the relationship and could have left her when she showed her true colors. Besides, fortunately not all women are like Amber Heard. I am not justifying that excuse for a human being for a moment. But I am saying that with some effort you can shield yourself from the garbage better than Johnny Depp. I understand your fear but it's out of proportion.

The premise is shitty in itself. It's like they see men and women as parties in a conflict and if a problem of a man is "created by men" they will happily ignore him and let it suffer since they are the enemy in their worldview. Let alone that a lot of problems of men result from the actions of some woman. Really. Just don't try to reason with those idiots. It's not worth your time

I wouldn't know. There are some pretty good couples out there, and also serious women. 90% of them thanks to education they got from their parents, 9% of them because they worked on themselves a lot. But this is true for men as well. Mass media and schooling are fucked up as value models (don't forget the nefariouseffects they have on boys too). This has been always true. Maybe now it's a bit more shitty than before but it's not surprising.

Nah I have female friends too and they have good opinions. It doesn't go along gender lines. You should have independent opinions and rely on yourself. Women are weaker on average and a lot of stuff even in basic survival requires strength, for men it's easier. Women have menstruation and pregnancy that men don't have. Women are more likely than men to be used for sex, arguably they are also more likely to be raped. Women are more likely to be taken less seriously for example at work. It is more likely to allow showing the chest to men than to women

Also there are feelings around the best friend situation. A friend who cares about your feelings won't date a girl if that makes you feel bad. It’s just that women don’t respect their choice and try to blame them instead of themselves (if they want IVF so badly they should leave rather than blaming an unwilling partner)

You just have to be confident that you can stop it. Really, even in abusive relationships it's almost never out of the blue. Be willing to engage and be willing to terminate the relationship. The fact that women are hugely advantaged does not mean that you have exactly zero ways to look for, prevent, stop, and get away from abuse.

Don't convince them. Just say you personally don't believe in the patriarchy. If they ask you why answer honestly. And always try to focus on the suffering of men instead of the hypocrisy of feminism. Be prepared for personal attacks but if someone attacks you personally and accuses you of being an incel you can answer with a personal attack too if you want, either way get away from that person.

The obvious thing to say is that although he managed to attack "Sargon" quite successfully, he still did not prove his point, that is the correctness of the 1 in 5 figure. Neither did he provide a compelling case for feminism as a whole. And that is the most important part. What's the figure for sexually assaulted men? I like it. It never hurts to correct yourself. In a way the circumcision issue in the MRM is like the problem of how housewives are viewed by feminists. Some of us don't care too much or do it because of religious reasons. Arguably they had a better deal, it may be. But some rights were not given to them, honor killings were deemed legal, they were less educated, society looked down on women riding bicycles, for example, not to say that scientists like Emmy Noether had many obstacles to pass to achieve academic recognition of their results. In short they had things worthy to fight for in the name of equality. Nowadays feminists fight for the right to imprison men on a whim, the difference is there.

In a rightist government in the middle of a quasi-constitutional crisis they took an exception to the suspension of the parliament just to finalize the law that punishes the clients of the prostitutes. Now the right had been in power for too long and is consol…

Interesting lecture. Basically they try to find ways to edit Wikipedia or tweet tweets in the best way to fool machine learning training algorithms and make them build a model of English where the meaning of the words is what you want (for example that your company is on par with Apple and Google or that slavery is freedom). Since the algorithms just learn by reading Wikipedia it all translates to put in some phrases in the most undetectable way for humans but in the most sensitive path for the …

I had a bad male therapist, a bad female therapist, a wonderful male therapist and a really wonderful female therapist (who, by the way, is not a feminist) If you feel something is wrong leave, just leave. Therapy is there to make you feel good with yourself, to make you grow, to make you your real you. It's a bit like a relationship. If you don't click it is not worth it. Remember that for them you are a source of money. They probably want to strong you along, especially the bad ones.

I don't think there is too much of a difference. Rejection hurts. Culturally men are expected to lead more and take more direct rejections, but women take rejections too. And if it's your friend getting rejected I can see cheering them up with 'he's a fuckboy', 'she's not worth it', 'she's a bitch', 'he's a loser'. It's a human thing to do. And yes women are statistically more loved than men so they have more friends who cheer them, but just don't think about it is you want to live well

There are many things where men have an advantage. We don't have periods, for example. And we are stronger, and we are less likely to be raped violently, sure. Yet there are many fields where men are disadvantaged. Sometimes by far. The suicide rate you mention is the tip of the iceberg. The reality is that there is a wide empathy gap between men and women. Women are more loved. This is reflected not only in the suicide rate but in many, many other things. Men are more likely to be homeless, mor…

Am I the only one to find the sentence 'women get more dates' strange? Since we are speaking of heterosexuals the amount of dates is equally distributed among men and women. Now it could certainly be that the distribution among men is different from the distribution among women (i.e. that in one sex there are few individuals that get all the dates, while in the other it is more uniform), but how can women get more dates if they date men? I suppose the idea is that women get explicitly invited to…

This is one of the smallest inequalities against men, if it is one. A bigger one is protection, or more precisely the fact that the only way for a man not to become a father with certainty is not to have sex. The not-so-certain way is to use a condom. There are no other ways. If you cause a pregnancy and the woman asks for child support you have no way out. You cannot refuse to recognize the child, you cannot put them for adoption (a woman can), and all of that applies even if the woman stole yo…

You have already lost a small piece of yourself since you got attached to her, but if you leave her it will regrow. If you get engaged the piece of you that is unsure about her will get trampled and you will feel suffocated. If she continues to develop hopes while you don't choose, she will get angrier and …

You loving her company says nothing about her loving yours. People (included women) objectify, use and exploit other people all the time. Just to address the logical fallacy here: if you speak of accomplished girls it might entirely be that they are very proud of other things, in addition to their looks. It is a bit puzzling from an evolutionary point of view (since it is very much related to hunting) but the data is there. I don't think there is any meaningful gap in marksmanship. Saying that women are better swimmers or runners (excluding ultra-long distance running or other cherrypicking) is laughable, it is like saying …

There are some things in which men are more fragile. One that comes to mind is that females have two copies of the X chromosome, while males have only one. This makes women less susceptible to genetic defects in the X chromosome, such as daltonism. The other thing that comes to mind is autism. It is not clear if men are naturally more susceptible or women have just better coping mechanism but it is clear that men are most affected. So they have biological faults. Women also have some of their ow…

What would you consider date ideas that HVW like?

Thanks for the feedback, I guess. I might be a little autistic, but I never got diagnosed. You probably centered the point about coming off as boring and arrogant. In my defense it's my natural way of talking (maybe because of autism?) and English is not my first language so that can also contribute. I can swear that if I used academic words it is not because I actively looked for academic words but because they were the first words that I could think about to describe the concept I had in my he…

Maybe it seems very meager but for a first date a stroll in the park would be ideal. Eating somewhere if we're hungry. If she lets me, I'd like to take photos of her with her phone (I like photography) In the middle: dinner, walks (possibly in the nature or near the sea - also good place for photos), going to the beach or the swimming pool And if we have had already sex together, preparing dinner together at my place would be also nice. To clarify: I can enjoy parties, bachata dancing, music, ve…

I want fun, as in just knowing each other, seeing new places, dancing, eating together, developing intimacy... it's just that the "normal" level of fun for me it's "too much". In a date I was in, there was loud music and it overwhelmed me, in another we went dancing bachata and the music and the touching was too much. I ended up completely exhausted in both cases

Maybe you touch a point, I learned I can be seen as arrogant sometimes. I guess I could work on that and the gigantic insecurities that make me act like this

In Israel you would be required to pay child support if the child is yours but you could sue her for 'semen theft' Sperm_theft. I am sure that in other legislation this can be considered fraud. Please, seek legal support. Even if it won't be fair to you, do what you can

You are right of course but I want to think we need to blame the entire society for that, not only them. It would be like blaming Leah Tzemel for Palestinian terrorism or Itamar Ben Gvir for settler violence. I admit I have to think about it but I'm not convinced altogether.

Some butchers have murder instincts but they use it doing their job. Some soccer players have battle instincts but they give vent to it in games. I try not to judge the private beliefs and thoughts of people as long as they don't overstep boundaries Even if they are the most scumbag manhating misandrist sexists in the world in this trial they are lawyers doing their job. If they wrote opinion pieces or tried to enter politics it would be different

I understand where you are coming from but as long as they are doing it in the framework of being lawyers that should not bother you, it's their job. If they were to run for the Parliament that would be a different thing

Not that I am sympathetic but that's what a lawyer does. The blame should be on the judge instead if they decide in their favor

Check out this book: https://www.amazon.com/Dictators-Handbook-Behavior-Almost-Politics/dp/1610391845 It does not enter into the psychological traits of dictators but it explains very well the mechanism that enable them, and other powerful people, to stay in power, once they are bent on that

You say I have missed the point but you then repeat your question in the same way. If you don't have the power you don't have the power, it's not like you are their boss suddenly. But you can project charisma and they will feel that. And you can leverage the "power" you have. For example as a client you have every right to be served. If it does not happen you can file a complaint. And you don't have to answer 'why' you need something, so just don't do that. And if you keep in mind that you can f…

(newbe, I hope to be able to comply with this community guidelines) so people don't respect you and you are angry since they respect other people... you have two problems: It's not them, it's you. You think they don't respect you because you don't respect you. They are just a mirror of your thoughts. The problem is you, not them And you are angry at them. Actually you are angry at yourself. Just stop the anger since you are hurting yourself (for one, you are certainly not hurting them... they do…

OK, you have two pieces of information she says is not confortable in crowded places she says she wants to be with you probably she likes you physically (otherwise she wouldn't have texted you) So you want to be with her as isolated as possible from the environment. Incidentally, it is a good idea in first dates, regardless of the girl. Avoid events, avoid bowling, as much 1-to-1 as possible, at least for part of the date to escalate quickly Some advice if you go with her to a pub or a restauran…

SMP and intelligence are different things Women won't look at your IQ and EQ score, they look at your job, at your body, at your clothes, at your car, at the chemistry between you, at your confidence, at your ability to lead, etc... And different women have different preferences in the "SMP". Someone who got an academical education will prefer a man with a similar background. But sure working at your empathy and emotional intelligence can only help you

I suggest you don't waste your energy on these inane questions, however: Women's IQ mean is very slightly lower than men's IQ mean (scientific result) Women's IQ variance is way less than men's. This means there are quite a few men who have higher IQ than majority of women and also many men who have lower IQ than majority of women (also scientific) Males have more propensity for spatial intelligence. Females beat males in empathy and emotional intelligence (also scientific result) In my experien…

The definition of equality varies really, so you are never going to have 'perfect equality', since there will always be something to complain about. However, it should be noted that there are many societies where women are by most count the most oppressed part. Try divorcing as a religious Saudi woman, for example.

Nothing of what you said applies specifically to aspies. Social anxiety can come from anywhere and is exactly that fear that you describe. The only way to make it go away is action. To be rejected hurts like hell but is better than not trying. You need to learn. And for that you need to try. A mindset where you convince yourself it's all a game can help you. The only way your being an Asperger will influence this is that you will need to learn in your own way, since your mind thinks in a way tha…
