hey man,

Good for you acknowledging the need to get out there and be more social.

It's tough in high school if you already are branded as a loner or someone who is socially odd. BUt it's not impossible.

My first thought for you is you need to learn how to just be a social kid and talk to people and make friends.

My second thought for you is to forget about the girls you have a crush on right now. Learning social interaction is SO MUCH MORE IMPORTANT for you right now, you'll never 'get the girl' without first becoming a socially calibrated dude. So don't spend anytime on pickup/tactics until you can go out there and just make friends.

Start from square one, you said you haven't had any experience even talking to girls your age. So literally start talking to them. Start small, ask the smallest questions possible.

I'd go to the mall and see if you can find some girls your age walking around, go up and ask them where starbucks is, where a store is whatever. They'll tell you, say thank you and smile and then walk off. Do this a bunch of times and report back.

STEP2: Work on improving yourself.

STEP3: Be rejected many times. Try different type of approach, trial and error

STEP4: Formulate your own way

I was happy when I first heard about Asbergers as an adult and diagnosed myself. I thought, finally I can figure out how to be happier and more sociable.

Since learning game however (aka studying how to get better with women), I decided that the diagnosis is worthless. The sooner you stop worrying about this so called syndrome the better. Especially since you say it's mild.

The way to get better with women and become a happier, more sociable person is to read up on PUA and dating advice, while at the same time finding self help books which are not targeted at so called spectrum cases, but generic books for average people. So called Inner Game. There are lots of great books, video courses and one-off videos. Look for recommendations in this reddit and online. Practice the techniques they advise such as meditation and affirmations, improving fitness, grooming and clothes, fixing eye contact and posture, getting better at conversation and banter, embracing and sharing your emotions and sexuality, etc etc etc. Be persistent and be patient.

Nothing of what you said applies specifically to aspies. Social anxiety can come from anywhere and is exactly that fear that you describe.

The only way to make it go away is action. To be rejected hurts like hell but is better than not trying. You need to learn. And for that you need to try. A mindset where you convince yourself it's all a game can help you.

The only way your being an Asperger will influence this is that you will need to learn in your own way, since your mind thinks in a way that is different from most people. So the mechanism for learning is a bit different.
