Sadly we have to resort to weapons to keep abusers from killing us. But shooting at the range is fun and lets out some steam, I must admit!

We are accused of being TERFS a lot. I'm unsure who is,here, but I haven't seen one yet. ETA: sorry mods, I had no idea that was a bad thing to say. I was trying to say that I don't know anyone here who has said anything bad about the LGBTQ community.

This is why some of us need to be armed for ourselves. I'm teaching my daughter gun safety, and when to use one. Because the cops aren't going to help.

I always offer up my services when this happens to anyone who can't get sterilized: I will come to the appointment with my 3 rank kids and say the person is my partner and our family is complete. This usually works!

What I was trying to say with my post is that men have always had it easier no matter what they look like, and now they get even more continued support from everyone while women are always expected to be hot and fuckable.

This has happened to me, and I have the resulting children from it (was coerced to have them and not an abortion, and I'm older so things were still different even 10 years ago). Having children when you know you aren't ready will cause soooo many issues, like anger and resent. And nobody will care about you and how you feel about it, because the child and their feelings make it all moot. I do not resent my children, but I resent life and everything else. Also, the way things are now, nobody who…

I'm terrified for her. She needs to be able to use all the birth control and not tell him. She needs to lie about her cycle and try to avoid sex. Because these are the guys who fuck with condoms and IUDs.

Don't. Don't do it. I love my 3 kids, loving your kids is a given. But holy shit does it get difficult, and especially if these kids came from abusive coercive men. Nobody really wants to help you with child rearing. They SAY they will, sure, but call them up when you need them and you're interrupting their happy weekend plans, so you'll always be concerned about getting childcare so you can try to self care.... if the man is still in the picture you're screwed. I could go on and on. I'll just s…

Short answer: yes, and I'm 37. Even my long time married parents show me bad examples to this day, like my dad drunkenly dancing in a certain way with a young girl who ended up hooking up with my brother. It's gross.

Story time: I was walking down the street once when I get whistles and hollering out of a roofing truck. I was like "you dumb bastards" and got on my phone and called my mom and dad, because they own the company. They were fired and likely almost burned alive back at the shop, and it was awesome. I'm a cautionary legend and to this day none of the employees will even look at me. Super satisfying.

I was a Sarah for years. OP is going to have to do the heartbreaking thing and keep your distance from her. Only when I knew I had nobody else who wanted to hear my shit did I escape, and that still took years of friends cutting me off. The beautiful thing is, when I truly escaped, my friends were all still there to welcome the real me back!!

My own grandmother lost my grandfather in a house fire when my dad was young. She got herself a nice home and a bunch of dogs, worked hard, put her life into being solid for the family, and she is retired and happy, healthy, and lives in a basement suite in my aunts house. She never bothered with men again and her life was spent nurturing her family and not an alcoholic man.

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/07/20 02:25 PM

Yeah, I feel it. I once was with a guy who told me how much he liked being with me and that he "won the lottery". A few days later he tells me about his soul mate- some Russian beauty who "got" him and had a degree and travels, and he said that "you just KNOW who your soulmate is". It sucks because he was excellent as far as FDS standards, but that killed any real future we had. ETA: I'm freezing out all men.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/07/20 01:26 PM

Remember that a healthy distrust is essential and you have the right to feel it. If someone doesn't like that, they will try shit with you. When they try shit, look him from the shoes all the way up, roll your eyes, and say nope. It helps me to do this, anyways.

I know this is my solution lately. I can freeze them all out and give zero fucks. They can't attack me because they have no information on me. Being silent and ignoring men is really effective and efficient!

I have a friend who is 4 feet tall. She is not a little person, she is just that petite. She had to always be so careful because the men who would pursue her would fetishize her size and it made her life pretty hard.

I'm sorry. I just left a guy who had to have sex with me in my sleep. I'd be that exhausted but it made him go away. I realized after a while that if he's so pushy he has to do it even when I'm asleep, that I never wanted to consent to it and I was being abused.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/07/20 05:29 AM

If he doesn't like condoms I'm straight up getting out of there. There are entire forums dedicated to slipping them off during sex without the woman's knowledge and leaving a surprise. They brag about this like it's a conquest. If he makes dumb excuses around condoms and is unprepared to protect you, LEAVE.

This book terrifies low value men. And my ex even tried to use DARVO on me that he read from the book- but if he read the whole book he would know what he was doing just made him look stupid to me. He wants me to fail and be destitute, and he is furious I am not.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/07/20 05:07 AM
26

I can say it forever like a broken record: that book saved me. I was only halfway through it when I left domestic violence, and I left a month ago, never EVER to return. I now have a 365 day rule- I'm not even entertaining the idea of touching a man until that year is up. And even then, it's only entertaining the idea. This bible took the target off of my back and I ran fast.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/07/20 05:04 AM

He could have easily fabricated texts with buddies. You gave him time, and he may have used that to make the texts. It's easy to hide the girlfriend too. I think you can do so much better. Why did he leave you on Valentines weekend? There's some holes in this story.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/07/20 04:55 AM

You make me so happy. 37/f , very similar story. Just escaped. I have a "no touching" any man rule for 365 days from last week. I am scared thinking of letting myself even date again- but you reminded me I can someday, armed with those 4 things.

I'm 37 with a 4 year old. Your dad is 100% correct. I'm exhausted. Her dad (my ex) had his heart attack at 40 and that was hell, because he used it against me.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy28/06/20 01:14 AM

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy28/06/20 01:07 AM

This IS my bible. I escaped domestic violence only 3 weeks ago, and I have ZERO desire to return, and I even started to truly love myself. All of my family and friends that were alienated came back no problem once I rid myself of a life in hell. I live in a shelter at the moment but my daughter and I are ridiculously happy and we are moving to supportive housing after this! I also got to learn who the HVM are in my life and I stick to hanging around them.

My ex wouldn't leave me alone sexually, and had to "get the poison out" several times a day while I tried to manage things. I took our child and left and do not regret it. I didn't want her growing up around that garbage.

This is chilling. This also happened in my city... a dark web forum with a section called "The Hit Report". It was all men talking about women around town they picked up or were interested in, and I saw there were lots of women I knew, even my own sister. I can't get into it on Reddit, but I know some people who have dealt with this now, back up all data, doxxed the dudes and sent their families this lovely info (: One of the dudes tried to drug and rape me at my own workplace... luckily my cowo…
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/06/20 02:39 PM

It can be a curse sometimes, because LVM see you as "easier to deal with". But you are NOT heartless, you are valid, and other true, caring aromantic people exist. You're just going to have to be ruthless when choosing a partner so you don't get treated like a heartless person, of which you are NOT.

I had a different experience. I was with a man who is a web developer/hacker. For my own protection (pretending it was for his benefit) I asked him to keep us separate and secret on the internet. Leaving his ass has been easier because of this agreement. But that is only me and my particular situation.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/06/20 04:27 PM

Yeah, he talks like he has some sort of admiration/crush on the room mate and his partner notices it. Also, he doesn't care about how his partner feels, he only cares about how the room mate makes him feel.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/06/20 04:01 PM

If he is stoic, warm, accepting, generous, quiet, makes me happy AND keeps it secret with me, for me? Then yes please! I don't want to live with him or advertise our happy times, or raise my kids with him. But that's my preference and a lot of guys actually hate it.

Ghost, block and delete is all you can do. Also, warn other women. I'm leaving domestic violence at this time and I've never gotten so many offers to date men in my life. It's disgusting. Have a zero tolerance rule and if for any reason he wasn't trying to come on to you he will understand and give you space instead of getting upset because of his little ego.

They're just sticking their dicks in a light socket, waiting for it to turn into a pussy, and crying to everyone because it hurts.

Also Lundy Bancroft's book!! That one is good whether you are being abused or not.

This is so close to the abuse I recently left. I'm on week 2 of being at the DV shelter and my daughter and I are absolutely blooming. I left a message for her in case she wanted to talk to a recent escaper. Edit: if she does talk to me I won't share her info but I'll let you all know she's alive

Left a LVM who loved that Meredith said that, and wanted me to say that to him.

Yep. One guy who is 13 years older told me he thought I was so hot back in the day (I was 15 when I kind of met this guy, was NEVER his friend). I know his ex girlfriend and she was abused by him badly. He told me about how he likes to drink and ramble in chat... I just blocked. Thinking of exposing his shit. There were others, they were all "oh you're feisty now". No, I escaped serious mental/emotional/financial/physical/sexual abuse situation, and I escaped with my 4 year old daughter. I don't…

I'm in a fricking DV shelter and guys on social media won't stop thinking I want them. It's extremely insulting. I was forced to publicly tell them to leave me alone and that I'm not horny after leaving an abusive man.

Thank you. I was there before, and likely because of childhood trauma. I love the supportive queens here, you all keep me going strong!

This book made me take my 4 year old daughter and leave a 6 year highly abusive relationshit. This book destroys men's excuses and it saved my ass! And it saved my daughter's future!!

Sadly I know a girl who truly speaks and writes like that and thinks she's Kathleen Hannah

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
