Seconded, it feels great just having one. And a lot of variety, just don’t get anything motorized, imo.

A mix of self-preservation and being disappointed by “friends”. But it was more of the latter than the former since I saw my time being wasted a bunch.

Your gut will let you know when time is going down the drain. And to regret is to absorb the lesson from a mistake, but it’s not healthy to stay in regret for too long. Sometimes time needs to be sacrificed for us to grow, and none of us would be the people we are today without those sacrifices, whether we regret or not.

Congrats! Keep learning new things while you’re still at that age, and best of luck with whatever you decide to do.

Finding that power ourselves makes it more significant than any other thing. We can feed our own souls happiness, but that’s not something that can be taught, nor is it mentioned a lot. Only by confronting controversial concepts solo and coming up with our own thought-patterns for them, including those about our light and dark aspects, can we see into and control our future.

For sure! Taking solace in those things will make you feel more than whole.

My dad in a nutshell, then he wonders why we distance ourselves. He’ll even do this bit of “you need to be able to tolerate what others say.” But I wouldn’t dare do that to him or he’d get angry.

I put in my vote and that should have been the end of it. But my dad is glued to the news and keeps yelling upstairs at me about what goes on every 5 minutes or so and it’s overwhelming. His thing with politics is exactly where a relationship should be and he’s been unaware of this since I was still in grade school.

It’s not even the sole feeling of me rejecting women per se. Its the fact that I’m breaking out of the trap-cycle of society and watching as other hopeless guys and 40+ year old women try to convince me that “you’ll want to be with someone someday” or “you’re too young to understand” or “someone in your position wouldn’t get it”, as I simultaneously watch them go soulless and simp-minded from their own pursuits. It’s been pretty scary to watch, actually. Friends, coworkers, and my own brother al…

Just gonna point out that any lady can easily get enough to live on and then some by putting their tits online anonymously. Doesn’t even matter if they don’t show their face. Alright, back to going my own way.

Though I was already headed down that route, MGTOW pushed me further to see that the vast majority are truly sheep, chasing bloated values that eat at the soul. It made me appreciate that while I may not be perfect, I’m still self aware enough to ensure that I’ll always have sanctuary in body and mind, something that not a lot of people have.

Tried it for more than a week, it didn’t work for me. It gave me that “I am an animal that needs to release” feeling not long after the “this is nice” feeling”. Moderation is nice, but doing it once a day really doesn’t hurt. I can still exercise consistently.

My dad is retired, but he’s still the backbone of the house. On the same token, he’s been emotionally unavailable for as long as I can remember (I’m 23). I love him and I say “yes sir” every day, but its nearly impossible to have a conversation without him needing to assert something or make it a lecture. He’s always talking about either politics or the failures of others, and is a pretty bad narcissist in that regard. And when something happens where we laugh together, it feels really fake most…

I hate to be the guy, but I really wish the quotes posted on this subreddit were worded better. If quotes are meant to be intellectual snippets of inflection, they shouldn’t be phrased as if a high schooler made it. “...solving problems together that...”

Same with video games, and I wanted to go out but my parents have been complicated with each other recently and I felt like I had to stay with them for the day. I’ll plan early tomorrow morning around doing my own stuff, but today wasn’t really my day. My dad also mentions “finding someone like myself”, despite both of us knowing how life-consuming women can be and after I told him of my own experiences. It wasn’t until a couple of days ago that I shook my winter depression off. It was always either raining, freezing, or I had work to do and felt obligated not to leave it. It also felt like I was dying and my body was falling apart, and I went to the doctor three times to see what it was, but I’m very healthy. And you’re right; I rarely saw the sun these past few months, so the fact that it’s slowly coming back is refreshing.

And it doesn’t just apply to women. There are many individuals that simply don’t value basic common courtesy or help or any kind of favor from others. It’s just that females tend to do it more. The answer is to let yourself rest on this fact, to relax and reboot yourself with you in mind.

I feel like I keep posting it here, but my high school ex (first relationship) who did not care about making me miserable every other week during my senior year is now a single mother and U.G.L.Y. It should simply be about avoiding the most putrid of bullshit. As long as women are the way they are, as long as men want to support them, and as long as places exist where gynocentricism wants to emerge and corrupt, just steer clear of them and stay alert. Thinking that females are doing an act that has to be cleared up is a fantasy that makes people doubt AWALT. Don’t trust anyone.

Oh, is it THAT noteworthy to have her teacher mention that she was a “good student”? Why is that in this article and not “THIS GIRL FACES IMMEDIATE CHARGES, SUCH AS ETC ETC”. It’s a CHILD! A CHILD WAS THROWN FOUR FLOORS DOWN! Does it matter if it died before or after? Did she think that would help ease her punishment, to tell a lie and fight it out later?? She had a life growing inside of her for nine months and instead of taking responsibility and precautions she threw it out the fucking window…

In your current state, you are the most complete person you will ever be. If your only problem is thinking you’re lonely, then you simply have to spice things up for yourself. Listen to music while doing something, go to subways and get a sandwich, whatever; think of loneliness as a feeling that something should be done at this moment for yourself, rather than thinking you need the validation or companionship of others to make you feel better.

My ex in high school gave me the silent treatment almost every week for the months and months we were together. She’d text “...” and not respond for days on end. Wouldn’t even look at me at school. Then one day she’d be back to normal spontaneously. It was only when I started doing it to her that she started talking about taking a break/breaking up. Why are you here asking about it? If you have so much doubt about getting married that you come here of all places, what do you think that means for you? Any girl that seems to cling to you a lot is definitely going to keep clinging until one of the other people she's clinging to becomes her boyfriend(or if you do something that doesn't agree with her). Then you both stop being "good friends". They don't even want you to be near them all the time anymore after they are in a relationship or if they know for sure they've got someone else by the balls, even when the guy is nowhere around. My bad, I now know what you meant by that statement. In short, he liked a girl, took her on a fancy date or whatever that costed 100+, and since then she's been ignoring that fact and doesn't even talk to him anymore.

Doom 2016. You stomp through the hell a selfish woman unleashes on the world and she's the final boss.

I'll answer your question with a question. Do you ever feel like you're the only sane and conscious person on the face of this Earth? Just watching as people argue and self-destruct over mind-consuming issues that turn them into sheep, even those that are close to you, and having friends and love interests act irrationally to the point where you ask yourself why you're still hanging around them? That's been me for the past handful of years. And it wasn't until I reached 21 that I realized being …

Right, after years and years of not only Sasuke being cold to her, but also abandoning the village, Sakura had no clear reason why she loved Sasuke; he was good looking and talented, and that's all she seemed to care about. Naruto and Hinata had a whole movie dedicated to showing how well they actually knew one another through the years, and how their bond made sense and brought them closer, good for them etc. There's nothing between Sasuke and Sakura except for the last thing he says to her bef…

Even in shows where the girls are drawn to be sexually alluring to bring in viewers, it's seemingly imperative that the girls are selfish and superfluous and always clobbering/yelling at the guy character for stupid reasons. It's EVERYWHERE in that culture.

It's weird how my dad constantly talks about women and how evil they are and how their minds are wired solely for the hunt [of men] even when my mom is in the room, suggesting that I stay single, but when we are alone he talks about how I should get married and be able to afford things for the both of us and etcetera. Regardless, congrats for your dad, OP. Good for him. :)

Let's see: either go on an adventure spanning multiple worlds fighting hordes of enemies and claiming legendary treasure, OR buy an article of clothing that will lose its luster quickly and is worth six of those adventures? One of a thousand reasons why I'm a part of this community.

That can be applied to every aspect of life. People tell you that you're supposed to do all kinds of things before x and y, when in reality all you need to to is be true to yourself and fulfill your own responsibilities and make yourself happy.

Just chillin'. I have to get the rest of my stuff ready for college in three weeks. I'll probably be on overwatch trying out Doomfist. And there's a bunch of games I want to get back to playing before school starts. Then more exercise. ;)
